Pressed Juicery at the Americana is the first juice joint in LaLaLand to offer this uber healthy alternative to froyo. it's pressed juice in frozen dessert form. not only is it really health beneficial, it's also really tasty and refreshing. double score!! i came by a few times during opening week and sampled all the Freeze flavors. GREENS - tastes like their Greens 2 juice. light and tasty! ROOTS - similar to Roots 3 juice, but with coconut and dates too! love the tang of the ginger. FRUIT - it's the frozen version their Apple Strawberry Coconut juice, just a bit sweeter. how pure can you get, apples and strawberries for my little? of course! CITRUS - yumm!! it's like a refreshing and light shave ice, with orange, apple, pineapple and coconut. another great flavor for the kids. CHOCOLATE - aside from the vanilla, this is the other creamy option. it's made of cacao, almonds, coconut, cinnamon, dates and sea salt. definitely less sugary than any froyo out there, but still satisfies that choco and sweet craving. my little enjoyed every spoonful of this. instant replacement for ice cream or froyo. yaaaay!!! and in addition, cacao (as in cacao vs cocoa), is the raw version of the chocolate bean as we are familiar with it, so it offers more nutritional value. just an added [superfood] bonus! Woohoo $2 for a freeze, I'll take it! I've passed by this store probably a million times before during walking/shopping at Americana and I finally decided to take the chance. Their instagram ad says $2 for any pressed juicery or freeze so watch out for those specials. The 4th star is for the associate who said they don't have the $2 special anymore, but when I showed her what I had screenshot from their business she honored it. First time around I got the pineapple freeze which was delicioso but dpn't mind me; I LOVE pineapple everything!! Second time I went with vanilla which wasn't that great. Yes, they juice everything and mix everything - solely for the purpose of mixing. Following the trend of kombucha (which I have a hard time to understand why people drink that), these juices don't seem to have to be good. He did a great job of walking me through the process. He asked about my current caloric intake to ensure I wouldn't pass out during my first run. Although healthier than frozen yogurt or ice cream, don't be fooled into thinking you can eat all you want. They don't post a nutrition facts aside from saying it's around 130 calories for the small. I'm sure it is loaded with sugar and by the time you add toppings, all of that adds up. Regardless, it's a nice treat that feels somewhat healthier. I've purchased the juices here countless times. I love the freeze! My favorite thus far is the matcha flavor freeze. It's made up of dates, almonds, vanilla, spinach, romaine, cucumber, kale, and matcha. It sounds like a lot but you really don't taste the vegetables at all. People say it's comparable to green tea ice cream but I think it's more of just a healthier version. Since there is no dairy, it really isn't creamy. The texture is like soft serve. Not too sweet which I enjoy and it just feels lighter in general. Guilt free! Its $5 for the small, and you can pay $1 more for up to three toppings. I got granola, strawberries, and blueberries and they all complimented fairly well with the green tea. This is my go to for juice cleansing! Read the labels of the juices because some of the recommended cleanses have a lot of sugar for 1 day. Even though they are "good sugars" it's still a bit excessive, so mix and match with the ones that don't have as many fruit ingredients. The activated charcoal is great for a quick cleanse without having to juice for a whole day or multiple days. Also, their freezes are amazing for sugar cravings- definitely a better alternative than ice cream or even frozen yogurt. Walked in today curious about juice cleanse cause I know a couple of my friends have done it and I've been wanting to try it. Also, my eating habits have been awful in the past couple weeks so I feel like it's the perfect timing to have a juice cleanse and flush all the bad stuff out of my system. I love pressed juicery. I'm a big fan of their juices and freezes. However, tonight I stopped by after having dinner and was a little stunned by one of the worker's attitude. I'll admit I came close to closing, but I quickly wanted to go in and order a freeze. By this time they had put away all the toppings and only had pineapple left out. Anmol, the worker who helped me out, told me this upfront. I asked if there were any dry toppings I could put on my freeze and she answered, "Yeah, but in the back" in the most snarky way. She had a really bad attitude and it didn't make me feel welcomed in the slightest way. I was still deciding what toppings to get and she then proceeded to ask me, "Do you just want to get it with no toppings?" That was really no way to talk to a customer. It came off as extremely rude and lazy. She eventually got my freeze with my dry toppings on it, but she made me feel guilty for having ordered it. I am in the service industry as well, so I understand the annoyance when customers come last minute.
