I came into this location to buy some juice. Juanita or whatever her name is was on the phone did not say hello. I began to ask a couple of questions about the Black History Month selection she didn't even look up and continue to text on her phone. I try to ask a couple of other questions and she seemed pretty annoyed by the fact that I was disrupting her texting. To the point that my own husband asked her if we come at a bad time. She proceeded to explain that she was dealing with the ("call out") situation on her phone ("because people make up excuses not to come to work") and asked "did I do something wrong?" My husband said it seem like she was irritated and that she wasn't in a position to be very helpful. I made another selection (For my fourth Juice, because I had only pick three) she then proceeded to ask what she could've done to be better. Her whole energy was off and I told her I was not interested in giving her a lesson on customer service and that I would like to complete my transaction. Her entire energy was extremely negative even before she sarcastically asked if there was a way she could've been more helpful. I asked her if I could please complete my transaction. I began to give her my phone number for the third time and AGAIN she asked do I want to proceed with the transaction and I stated for the fourth time yes and was trying to pay. I asked her name and that is when she blew up. She said "you know what you need to leave I don't want to serve you". GET OUT!!! She took the juices back put them in the fridge. I took out my phone so that I could do a review like this one and she said "I don't give a F@$; take a picture of me...call...do whatever you want I'm gonna call my boss first" and began to yell at me and berate me out of her store. She even came from behind the counter! I am a 48 year old woman that has frequented pressed Juicery for years and this is the most embarrassed I've ever been by an experience. Whatever your employee told you is not true and you need to fire her. I hope you have cameras, then you can just watch the footage yourself. read more

I love going to this store. It's located right by the beach with a view you can't beat. The staff are all super helpful and informative. If you're a newbie in the juicing game, definitely check this place out. This Pressed location is fairly cheaper than Kreation and Nekter (which I believe closed down). To be completely honest, Pressed is the best juice bar I've been to thus far. It's cheap, simple, and most of all delicious. I know a lot of people don't like juicing because of the "organic" taste from the veggies and spices. Pressed somehow managed to create a flavor profile catering to all different flavors and tastes. This is the best Pressed Juicery!!! On top of the normal level of friendliness you'd expect from Pressed, they are testing out a new pricing strategy at this location. Juices are only $5 (compared to $6.50) and the shakes are only $6.50 (compared to $8.50). The discount is pretty substantial, especially if you like to buy in bulk. I mean, where else can you get delicious, cold-pressed juice for this price? Literally nowhere in LA. Even juicing your own juice is more expensive once you take into account equipment, pounds of produce, time, etc. Not only does this new strategy give Pressed a low-cost advantage, but the quality is still amazing. Win-win. Competitors can't come close. Parking is kinda horrible since it's in the middle of downtown Manhattan Beach, so I would recommend coming here if you also plan to walk around/go to the beach since you'll spend more time finding a parking spot than in the actual store. Or, come at night right before closing, when most people are leaving. This should be everyone's secret weapon to a flat tummy! I did the 3 day cleanse with my brother and although it was a little tough (because everyone around me is selfish and likes to eat their lives away in front of me instead of supporting me * insert crying emoji here*) I managed to get through it without cheating. I can't explain it exactly but I felt so energized and ready to go every day of the cleanse. The second I started eating I automatically went for the "break your fast celebration meal" and it was grows. It tasted so odd and all I could think about was how great I had felt the days before and how crappy I was starting to feel after eating crap. If you're looking for an easy but great cleanse the level 1 and 2 are perfect. I suggest starting a 3 day and then moving to a 5 day AND doing it with someone because if you're anything like me and food is life you're going to need the support. However, ultimately it's well worth it! Pressed is reasonably priced compared to most cleanses in the South Bay and the taste is pretty good. read more

I've been here twice now and both times were both great. The ladies that work here are friendly and helpful. They let you sample as many drinks as you would like before purchasing. The juice here are cold pressed, but what I love is the price for the bottle. Maybe it's because of the sale that is going on right now, but I noticed the prices on any other given day are lower than other juice bars. As for the drinks, they are all very tasty. I really like the premium drinks. I bought one which had brazilian nuts, dates, and a few more ingredients. Another with chocolate, dates, and of course it had other ingredients in it as well. I also enjoyed the citrus drinks. One had aloe vera with coconut, and it was refreshing. So, I decided to give this place a try mainly for the sale. It was $5 a bottle, but you can buy 8 for $34.50. That's an awesome deal! Then today my husband and I went back to get more to take advantage of the sale. Also, the healthy benefits from drinking these were great. I love this place! I have been a juice aficionado for a long time but I had never tried Pressed Juicery before. I went there for the first time yesterday. Amy was super helpful in finding what I liked. They have sample of not just a few they chose to sample that day, but EVERYTHING. So cool! All the juices and coconut waters are $5 and the signatures (nut milks) are $6.50. Great deal! On top of that, their current special is 5 bottles for $25, yeap that includes the signature line! The winners yesterday: - Greens 1.5: celery, cucumber, kale, lemon, parsley, romaine, sea salt, spinach (I usually like a little bit of apple in my green juice, but their Green 2 was a little too sweet, so I went with 1.5 - this is really good! If you have always been hesitant to get all greens, try this one!!) - Citrus 1: aloe vera, coconut h2o, cucumber, lemon, pineapple (So refreshing and delicious!) - Brazil Nut: brazil nut, dates, kale, romaine, sea salt, spinach, vanilla bean (So sweet and so good. I liked this so much that I got 2 of these. After I got home, I was drinking it and realized it is a little sweeter than I thought when I was tasting it at the store. After doing two BluePrint Cleanses, they jacked up the shipping cost on me, so I switched to Pressed Juicery. The first time I ordered a cleanse, they had to sub out pear juice for apple juice on one of the juices, but they left me a note saying that I would be getting 3 free juices towards my next cleanse. Yay for customer service! When it came time for my next cleanse, I added on my three free juices. Instead, they delivered the three added juices and took out my Vanilla Almonds--the best juices of the day! I called to explain what happened and they said I could either pick up my missing juice in store or have it delivered the next day. I chose to have it delivered. But I was surprised that they didn't do anything to apologize other than provide me what I had already paid for. It wasn't consistent with the great customer service I had received prior. But, no harm done. Everything was delivered this morning without incident. With everything now settled, I am through 1.5/3.5 days of my second Pressed cleanse and it's going fine. The juices are fresh and not as sweet as the BluePrint juices, which is nice. The Roots 1 juice is much more palatable than BPC's equivalent beet juice. read more

There's a reason why I remember Pressed Juicery out of the many food stands I tried in the blazing summer heat of the LA Street Food Fest-- it was one of the only stands that I felt refreshed. Sooo I was delighted when I saw it while walking up Manhattan Beach Blvd! The workers are super friendly. I wasn't sure what juice I wanted, so they let me try a lot of samples. I decided on Greens 2 and Citrus 2. The juices are pretty expensive at $6.50 a bottle. Still, it's much more convenient than buying ingredients and equipment to make my own power juice. THE best customer service! I'm glad I called before coming. I was going to go with Nektar, but after speaking to them on the phone, decided to give Pressed a call as well and had a much more pleasant and helpful experience. I was extremely intimidated about trying my first juice cleanse, especially starting with 3 days. Both workers were occupied when I arrived, but once it was my turn, I realized it was truly worth the wait! Corey was brilliant. He allowed me to sample everything I was interested in and gave expert advice on the cleanse. He thoroughly took his time to explain everything to me and was very encouraging. I have done LOTS of juicing so I would consider myself somewhat of an expert in this field. I rate pressed a 5 star based on value. When I first started juicing I would make my own juice thinking that I would save myself $$$ but pressed is so reasonably priced its actually about the same price as if I were to do it myself, so now I am here at least twice a week for a couple of stock ups. The good: Great selection, I usually just do the green juices but from time to time I mix in some nut milks or some fruity stuff as well. They have it all here and they will let you try before you buy to make sure you like it. Great pricing, if you buy in "bulk" 6+ at a time I believe you can get them down to close to $5 each, I think this blows away the competition. Friendly / knowledgable staff, the employees always know what I ordered last when they pull up my phone number and ask if I want "the usual" or I want to try some new flavors. I LOVE THIS PLACE. First and most importantly, the quality of their juices are EXCELLENT. I truly enjoy the taste of how they combine all the fruits and vegetables. I used to make my homemade juices, but due to time and effort, it was not practical three times a day. These juices taste just as good as mine, meaning they are just as fresh and to my liking. The staff is friendly as well, and very helpful. If you are uncertain of a juice, they might let you sample it, just like me. They usually have some good promotions going on as well so I always take advantage of them. I come pretty early in the AM right before work to get these juices so I don't worry about parking. My go-to juice is Greens 2 because it's earthy but not too sweet or grassy. I am so pleasantly surprised with PJ. I recently ordered their 3 day cleanse which was supposed to be delivered to my house on a Sunday. Unfortunately, I had to go out of town for a family emergency & wasn't going to be home to do my cleanse. No problem! I have done the 5 day cleanse twice within the last two months and have been really impressed. For $35, you get 6 juices/signature blends and two waters of your choice. I customized my cleanse based on how I felt each day. For the first three days I stuck with the lower caloric/sugar content juices and for the remaining two days I went with a more caloric dense spread. Some of my favorites are Greens 2, Roots 1, Greens 3, Coconut Cinnamon, Vanilla Almond, and Matcha Almond. The cleanse makes you feel great and since you drink a juice every two hours you don't feel hungry. I would highly recommend doing the cleanse if you are on the fence about it, you won't regret it! If you sign up with their rewards you get half off a cleanse after you earn 100 points which you easily obtain after you buy a 3 day supply of cleanse juices. Something to note: if you do a 5 day cleanse you have to do at least two pick ups since the juices are only fresh for up to 3 days. So expect to make a separate pick up for the last two days. Overall, the Manhattan Beach store is great because they have lower prices and service is usually very quick. Their juices are $5, shots are $2.50, and their signature blends are $6.50. I was told it is because they don't offer the freeze so their prices are lower as a result of this. The manager Amy is very friendly and helpful. I recently had an incident at this store and the regional manager Ben contacted me by phone to make things right. Ben has exceptional customer service skills and I can see why he is in the position that he is at Pressed. He went above and beyond to make things right. Keep in mind that parking is limited so if you plan to pick up a cleanse, carrying three bags with 8 bottles in each bag will become difficult if your car is more than a block away. If you get to the store before 8 am, parking is free and there are usually more spots available close to the store front. read more
