Delightful. Absolutely loved my açaí bowl from here! There was a bit of a wait (~30 mins), but that goes to show just how popular this spot is! It is conveniently close to the beach so it's an easy walk down to enjoy your bowl with a view. If you follow anyone who lives in or frequents Manhattan Beach, chances are you have seen them post a picture of a Paradise Bowl held up with the Manhattan Beach Pier in the background. I knew I was in good hands when one of the Gen-Z kids took my order and began making my Gaucho bowl. They always be cookin with acai bowls, coffees, and smoothies. I got a medium size ($12.50), but realized my error when I got handed my bowl as it was HUGE. Hefty portion sizes here. I mean you know I love a good portion but fruit is sneaky with sugar so I felt bad eating all that but what am I gonna do? Throw out perfectly good food? This bowl was BEAUTIFUL. The good: Acai bowls are one of my favorite desserts. I got the Maui Wow-me bowl from the Pitaya menu (they have an acai menu too). It had guava juice in it and was delicious with an island flare. I liked the bee pollen topper. It was under $11 for a size small (good for 1-2 people). I thought it was a fair price and it was made in a timely manner. The location is beachside so it was a wonderful snack to take with you while walking along Manhattan beach. There are also lots of cute shops around here so it's a very walkable area. The fruit were fresh. There were many menu items to choose from. They sell smoothies too. The bad: There was no indoor seating. However, there are benches nearby outside. I've been here twice and the second time the wait was a half hour. They should have a text phone alert set up for when your bowl is ready. This was definitely a busy place at 11:30 on a Sunday. It did take about 10-15 minutes before we got our bowls. The only downside is that there is nowhere to sit to eat our bowls. We got the small size of the Gaucho and the Gauva Sunrise. Both were delicious and a perfect size. Would definitely get again the next time we are in town. read more

Ive only ever see one person working behind the register but they are moving quick! Breezy beach vibes, kind staff, cramped but tidy storefront. It is a shame that the smoothie bowls were not as stellar as the service. Of the 3 smoothie bowls that we ordered, not a single one tasted like what it was supposed to. In fact, all three bowls had predominantly the same ambiguous flavor... Guava Sunrise, Peach Bum, and Base Tan. Between GS and PB, it makes absolutely no difference which was ordered because the smoothie base looked and tasted the same-- dusty pink in color and indistinguishable in taste, mostly flavorless... when we all know that guava and peach flavors are very distinct. My daughter loves Paradise bowls. Fresh and flavorful. But after what I saw today, I will reconsider going here in the future. While there the last 2 times, while waiting, I've noticed that the girls don't put their hair back while working with the food. It just hangs there. One young blonde girl in particular used her gloved finger/hand several times to push her hair behind her ear and continued working with the food- not changing the gloves. GROSS!! Also when she came over to give food to some customers she did it again and didn't change them. And just was flipping her hair to keep it out of her face.
