I'm not sure what goes into the bohemian bowls for the sorbet base--probably something unhealthy like ice cream so don't tell me--but the bohemian bowl #1 (BASE: Pitaya Sorbet, Blue Majik Sorbet, Blue Majik Chia Seed Pudding and Granola * TOPPINGS: Kiwi, Watermelon, Banana, Granola, and Honey) was so good! I mean, honestly, it's also pretty hard to mess up an açaí/pitaya bowl. My son refused to stop eating his even though he was blue and shivering from the cold, so he enjoyed it too. I'm slightly disappointed in this location today. These are minor details but I think they're important. I love my Açaí bowl but before I walked in I almost thought they were closed. The employee had all the chairs on the tables and was sweeping the floor. It's 2:50p they don't close until 4p. I understand being productive but that doesn't look professional to the customer. Those things should be done at closing time. Since I didn't have anywhere to sit I sat outside. I waited a few minutes and went back in and my bowl was on the counter. I thought it would've been good customer service if someone delivered it to me outside since they inconvenienced me by putting the chairs on the tables leaving me no choice but to sit elsewhere. Honestly I was disappointed. I wanted this to be awesome. The plaza it's in is beautiful. Outdoor seating is picturesque. The vibe was right. I was anticipating something great. I got a large Hula. First off it's a very vertical tub, not a bowl. Your name has bowl in it - but ok. It's a large serving (it's also not cheap). It looked great but it just fell short. The base was bland. Toppings were visually good, but lacked flavor. The granola the same, it felt healthy but didn't taste great. I eat acai 2-3 times a week and have been to tons of different spots. This place made me LOVE açaí bowls. They converted me. Was staying at a nearby hotel and used ubereats TWICE for the Bohemian 2 bowl so you know it's good! I was never into açaí bowls before but the Bohemian bowl was creamy, sweet, chocolatey, crunchy, and it just ticked all of the boxes. Maybe it's because I'm not from the LA area (from NorCal and we have lots of açaí places up here), but I don't understand why this place doesn't have better reviews. Bohemian 2 and Bohemian 4. I always love when workers are quick to share multiple suggestions because I generally feel like if workers are torn between options... something might actually be tasty at a given shop! (Especially when the give a reason why). Visited bowlology for the first time. Dope vibe on first impression. Chill background music and nice service. I appreciate the size options since many places only offer one. I got regular-size bowls and they were both satisfying. I was full after eating a little more than half but my sis said was satisfied with her bowl but could eat a little something more. I love that each bowl has different fruit toppings beyond blueberry, strawberry, and banana. Fruit is fresh! Granola added a nice texture, but the flavor is very mute. I do like that it's not too sweet. Now for the smoothie part, all layers were indeed very smooth, but I must say all flavors were muted and lacking strong, recognizable and distinct flavors. Açaí was good but did not have the distinctly tart flavor, maybe it's made with something else blended in? Pitaya mixture was a little syrupy sweeter than I've ever had and although it was mixed smoothly, it also had a melted popsicle like stickiness to it. Sis and I disliked the texture that the chia pudding layer added... it froze up into a ice block in between layers so we kinda picked it out. I couldn't taste the blue majik in my chia layer at all. I've always heard that you get what you pay for. And yes that saying is absolutely correct here at this location. I ordered the ocean bowl, all you could taste was the fresh fruit, the only thing that was frozen was the acai this was the bottom layer. OMG IF I COULD SURF, damn I would try doing it while eating this bowl of fruit. Honestly this is nothing like Jamba juice and some of the other local spots around the Compton area. disappointed because I drove to bowlology from work and made it at 3:23pm. When I walked up to the door I saw that they had the closed sign up. I was super confused considering it was 3:23. There were 3 people inside. A male and two females. I knocked and even made eye contact with one and no one came to the door. I wanted to know why they closed early. I thought maybe the hours on Google were wrong until I noticed the hours posted on the door said 4pm as well. A bit off the beaten path, but delicious acai bowls are available here. I had the chocolate dream (which comes with chocolate chips!) while my friend had the makai bowl. You pick between a regular or large size. We came here after eating sushi for lunch so we were a bit peckish, but eating the regular size brought us over the edge. There were some indoor tables available and a lot more outdoor seating. The outdoor seating was super pleasant and there was a fountain that added to a soothing environment. Free parking. I'm fully aware we've been in a Pandemic but the service is horrible. You are never greeted when you walk in or waiting for someone to come to the register to take your order. I am quite disappointed with my bowl. First, I ordered a pitaya base; however, based on the image below, it is not the typical pink hue. In addition, it tastes super watered down from apples and bananas. The bottom of the bowl which is supposed to include granola is nothing but crumbs. I paid $15.75 for this bowl...this is unacceptable. I also tried to call the store multiple times and nobody picked up the phone (which doesn't make sense because when I had picked up my order, the store was empty). One of my all-time fave açaí bowls. There's not much option, but I like that it's simple and has always been an easy in/out spot. I haven't experienced too long of a line, so that's cool. The parking lot is kinda crazy because of all the other surrounding business, though. Ugh. Back to the açaí bowl. I like the açaí base because it's not too tart.
