That said, the layout could really benefit from some rethinking. Like many Michoacana locations, this one lacks ambiance and the kind of cozy, welcoming atmosphere that encourages people to stay. Adding elements like game boards, comfortable seating, or decor could go a long way in making the space more enjoyable. As it stands, the environment feels dry and impersonal. Also worth noting: there are signs stating that bathrooms are not for customer use, which adds to an already uninviting vibe. It feels unnecessarily standoffish. If you're going to charge premium prices, the experience should reflect that. A more thoughtful layout and a warmer atmosphere could help attract a wider range of customers who might want to hang out--and ultimately spend more. Stopped by for some tostilocos; they did not disappoint. They only spoke Spanish, which I thought was fine; makes it more authentic! They were very friendly and accommodating, and they made the tostilocos pretty quickly. The place was huge; definitely the biggest Michoacana that I have been in. We don't really like the pork skin on our tostilocos, so we asked for ours without it, and we got mango instead. 10/10 would recommend! read more

Knocked off a star for the exuberant price on a regular fruit platter which would have been $65 for 10-15 people. The sandía loca was $30. $5 for a paleta and $5 for a small cup of esquites $8+ for the large cup.....and $15+ for a large mangoneada. The most expensive Michocana I've visited. I went with my family and I was shocked by the increased prices. Also esquites had no flavor.... Non of the ingredients.... Probably using the cheapest options. read more

This place has horrible customer service, or more like no customer service at all!!! I came here one night before they closed literally at 9pm. When I arrived, the two employees that were there were just standing and talking for a while before asking me if I needed assistance. When I was about to ask for something one of them immediately interrupts me and waits that the only thinking they are able to serve is ice cream and fruit because they were about to close. First of all, they are standing there doing nothing claiming that they are going to close when clearly they close at 10pm. After hearing many recommendations about how tasty the food is at LA Michoacana, my family decided to try it. Worst decision ever!! As soon as I walked in, no one greeted us or asked if we needed help. I then proceeded to ask the gentleman working there if he had a menu and all he said was "no". He did not offer me and help or an recommendations. Just simply said no and walked away. It seemed to me like no one was happy to be there. There were another two ladies there who we later asked to buy a Gatorade from and after telling her 7 times I wanted a Gatorade, she kept pretending she didn't understand, mind you we spoke English and Spanish. We also asked for a plate for our food and it seemed like it was also a hassle for them to give us a plate. The tables we wanted to sit on where all dirty, none of them had been wiped down and we were the only costumers in there at the moment. I am not one to complain, but I must say the costumer service is terrible, terrible, terrible. It's very sad that people that are having bad days are able to take it out on others. The staff made us all feel like we were not wanted there and they made it seem as they didn't want to be there eighter I will never come to this location again, even though the food was good.
