When I arrived, the store was completely empty except for an employee who was sweeping the floor. She didn't acknowledge me until she was done with the floor, and it was very clear I was an inconvenience to her by being there. I ordered my usual vanilla/chocolate freeze, and she seemed to make sure to pour as little as possible into the cup (I guess I should appreciate the saved calories, lol). But the worst part was the freeze itself -- it was basically melted, the worst consistency I've ever seen. Neither the strawberries nor the goji berries tasted fresh. However, the recent employees (specifically one who works quite often) always appears angry and is rude to many of the costumers. Recently they have been extra stingy with their product. Once in both me and my friend selected the acai power bowl. After building up the base they topped it with a completely bruised banana that was probably stored in a freezer. The banana was mostly brown and I am not talking about light but very dark and unappetizing. I asked them to swap it for another one and the reply was that they are all like that. So I asked the server to take it off and after that all the cheerfulness from the service was gone. The guy's total demeanor changed and he started banging things around. If a server rolls their eyes to a valid request it's a great put off as far as I am concerned, let alone show attitude! The girl who was making the bowls was more polite and replaced the banana for extra strawberries. If it wasn't for her, I would've given this place a single star. I have a few favorite drinks here and am so glad there are some drinks that don't have citrus that are still good tasting. The greens 1 is my choice when I'm being extra healthy. The roots 2 gives you just enough for that sweet tooth by adding apple. The vanilla coffee (almond, coffee, dates, sea salt, vanilla) is a perfect dessert/caffeine choice. This is high cal though so be warned :) as its 2 servings 200 cal each with almonds adding some fat. I have to stop myself from drinking the whole thing it would be a killer. I've only tried the vanilla freeze (no dairy!!) and I really like it. My husband likes the chocolate one. It's nice to have some healthy topping options to go with it. My friend dragged me to Pressed because she LOVES their freezes. And I'm proud to say that I am now a HUGE fan of their freezes too! The decor is very minimalistic and simple. And every time I go, there is little to no line. You can sample any of the freeze flavors, just let them know! I usually get a chocolate and vanilla swirl with almond butter, strawberries, and blueberries/kiwis. It's not overly sweet at all, and I love how the almond butter sorta hardens onto the "yogurt." I love fro-yo but am mildly lactose intolerant so I think this is a great alternative to fro-yo. I can still get the similar experience, but it is much healthier and I don't have to deal with the dairy consequences after (if u kno wat i mean)!
