We went in on a Wednesday a little after 12 and it wasn't too busy so not very loud. Easy to carry in a conversation. On the burger, I got bacon, cheddar, grilled onions, pickles and pimento cheese. Just left The Garage in Walhalla after an excellent lunch with friends. This was the first time eating there for all of us, and became a rare find in that each of us had a different meal and we ALL enjoyed our choices. Plus the pimento cheese starter was delicious. We had some business to attend to in Walhalla, so we looked for a place in town for lunch. We chose the Garage and were pleased with the food, ambiance and friendliness of the owner and patrons. The music playing was just our jam too! The only thing that I would suggest is that there should probably be a big sign outside the entrance that says that this establishment is a CASH ONLY business. In this day and age very few people are walking around with $50 bucks in their pocket and have become dependent on using credit cards. read more

Service is really good and its family run and they are sincerely friendly and honorable people. Locally owned by some of the most friendly people in town! They host bingo, trivia, karaoke, singing bartenders, something literally every evening. My wife and I went there for the first time and ordered food. Overall, we found the ambiance to be above average, and the owner and staff were friendly and engaging. The food was fresh but only average on taste and quantity. Please understand, I'm not knocking the food, but it was average bar food. My wife had the burger and I ordered the Philly cheesesteak. Both were, just okay. We also found the limited side options to be a bit of a disappointment, nothing fried was available, no fries, onion rings, mushrooms, nothing. We were "warned" walking through the parking to get into the building that it would take 45 minutes to get our food. We decided all we have is time as we are on vacation! The owner greeted us and seated us at the bar. The expected experience is to order your drinks on the right and your food on the left. There are big signs I soon saw but we must have appeared extra dim so they waited on us barside! Hubby had 2 IPAs and both served in cold glass (his favorite way) pretzel and flatbread were delicious. Food took a little longer but it was hot and good! This is a CASH establishment. There is an ATM machine in the building. There are pros and cons to that but I don't own the business! Friendly people and nice venue. Give them a try! read more

Before, it was The Spot on the alley in Seneca, Henry's in the OBX, and JK's steakhouse in the OBX. Burgers here are by far the best ever. Juicy, delicious and dripping with goodness. We stumbled upon this taproom with exceptional food while on a weekend trip to the quaint little mountain town of Walhalla SC. Can't say enough about the friendly service and quality of food. We enjoyed it so much on Friday night, we went back Sat afternoon for more! Philly Cheese Poboy was huge and fantastic, along with the recommended old family recipe of potato salad. BLT was excellent too with the first tasty tomato we've tasted this spring. Next day up we're flatbreads, chicken wraps, and salad- another good choice! Love this joint ! The staff greeted us as soon as we walked inside. The wait for food was about 30 minutes but we were made aware ahead of time that it would take a bit. Tried this place for 1st time tonight, what a fun joint! Awesome to see it doing so well, I believe I heard it opened in Oct? Owner and employees COULD NOT have been nicer. Checked on us numerous times, gave us a great food option down the street as their kitchen situation isn't up n running yet. Live music was really good, drew a nice crowd. Good variety of beer, wine and hard ciders, something for everyone. Prices very reasonable we all thought. Clean, including bathroom. Tables and heaters outside, nice fire pit. Husband and I stopped by after our morning hike at Yellow Branch Falls. Excellent, friendly service, family owned establishment. We enjoyed delicious coffee porters and 2 appetizers that were absolutely delicious! Highly recommend the hot pretzel - huge, cooked perfectly, sprinkled with grated Parmesan and served with an ample amount of beer cheese for dipping! The outdoor seating is super comfy, great music, and relaxing atmosphere. They also allow dogs in the patio, so we will be bringing our pup at our next visit, which can't come soon enough! read more
