Over the last few years I've lived in the Pico-Robertson area I've gone to Prestige for all of my alteration and dry cleaning needs. They have never disappointed and the prices have always been fair. I've gotten alterations, dry cleaning, and a wedding dress preserved. They were always honest with expectations and clear if a stain might not come out. Recently I took my military uniforms there and they did an AMAZING job tapering the legs. For anyone that has had uniforms, they are all the same length and need to get hemmed which makes it tough for slimmer, shorter people. My pants were too wide at the base of the legs and it just didn't look good. They tapered the pants down so they fit better, looked more professional, and still within regulations. They also took some stains out of my summer whites! If you are military and in the area, I highly recommend getting your uniformed serviced here. read more

I came here for the first time to have a dress shirt and suit jacket tailored for a Halloween costume. I was charged $220 for the alterations. I picked up the items at 9AM on Thursday 10/30, paid in cash, and when I got home to try everything on, both pieces were completely wrong. The dress shirt sleeves are noticeably too short and the fit around the upper arms and shoulders is extremely tight, making it unwearable. The suit jacket was tailored so that the back does not hang straight and instead pulls to one side, causing it to sit crooked. These are not minor issues as the clothing simply does not fit anymore. When I called to have this fixed, I was told that the tailor does not work for them, and that they "couldn't help." They also took my claim ticket at pickup, so I have no proof of the transaction beyond the altered clothes themselves. Not only did I pay $220 for alterations that made the items worse, but my clothing is now essentially ruined and I no longer have a usable costume for Halloween. I will be seeking a full refund for the tailoring costs plus the value of the damaged clothing, as the items are no longer wearable. Very disappointed in both the quality of work and the lack of accountability. I would strongly caution others before trusting this place with any tailoring. read more

(Stuff don't cost like back in the day) You can find cheaper but maybe not as convenient and the quality does not compare, plus they are super nice people! I came in with 3 bags of clothes that have to be dry cleaners and many basic dresses from Reformation that are not expensive dresses and made from Viscose and rayon and are labeled Green Dry clean only. I saw how they handle clothing and I knew I could trust them with my Burberry Prorsum trench coat and a few other pieces that I brought in that day. This is late but it's been busy. Here goes- Frank is going to be a lifesaver! Not only will my preferred dress be ready before my event but it will be done several hours before so I won't have to rush on a bus to & from to get my dress!! It was ready but I didn't end up at the event after all & didn't get to pick up my dress for some time. The folks here are absolutely wonderful. The cost to get this done with the rapid turnover was on par with what others quoted me. It's my favorite dress right now- a gift from my best friend & a Calvin Klein dress I always get compliments on. They took great care of it & didn't charge me for two pieces.
