I understand that with every new house, there is a learning curve. I saw an ad that they would do steam cleaning and it sounds like it's only areas that require special attention. The initial cleaning took about 3 hrs with a team of 2. They respected that I don't want them to wear shoes during the cleaning and they had booties or took off their shoes. This is a problem, because: 1. Each time I emailed, a different person answered. Probably 20 emails over 1 week were arranged before I could get a quote and schedule cleaning. Because emails would usually arrive late at night or around 2-4AM, I guessed the emailers were located outside of the US. 2. Phone calls are not effective. Email info could easily have been conveyed in a 5-minute phone call, but when I called, the representative didn't know anything about scheduling. 3. A third-party cleaner comes to your house. This means there isn't consistency in quality. The cleaners complained that there was too much work and that it would take a 2-person team 4 hours to do the work (clean 1.5 bathrooms, put about less than 10 dishes in the dishwasher). One worker did dishes only during this time (at $40/hr, that's about $4/dish). The other cleaned the bathrooms. And of course they finished in less than 1 hour. 4. Communication with the third-party cleaner was poor. After all the time I spent emailing about what would be included, none of the details they asked about were conveyed. This was part of the time I paid for, because 1 worker called their supervisor to try to get out of doing the work.

I searched Yelp for a five-star gutter cleaning company, found Bargain Window & Gutter Cleaning Services, and decided to give them a try. It turned out to be one of the best home maintenance decisions I've made. I contacted Joshua through Yelp Messenger, and he responded almost immediately with a quote. He requested my address, used Google Maps to inspect the roof remotely, and we quickly scheduled a full gutter cleaning. The service included complete removal of debris from the roof and gutters, a thorough rinse of the entire gutter system, flushing all downspouts to ensure proper drainage, and photos and videos of the completed work sent directly to my phone. Here's where things got even better. While cleaning the gutters, Joshua noticed several roof tiles that were cracked or out of place likely the real source of our leak. After a quick trip to the hardware store for some roof tile repair adhesive, the problem was fixed. Joshua, it was an absolute pleasure working with you. I thought it would lighten up after it dried but it didn't, so I think this area just didn't get enough attention. There was also a stain left in one of the smaller bedrooms that I think could've been treated more throughly. I plan to treat these areas myself before moving the furniture back into the rooms where they belong. I still left a tip. UPDATE: the business owner contacted me offering to come back and re-clean the areas. I appreciated them following up and taking the time to address the issue. Two technicians Will and Frank came over and did a great job in cleaning the dark spots and removing the stain in the other room. If you decide to use this business, I'd definitely recommend requesting Will and Frank.

We had been using another cleaning service, but were just not happy with them. A close friend recommended Kate and Prestige Housecleaning. From the start, we were glad that we made the switch. Kate is very professional and pays attention to the small details. We can always get in touch with her. Before the service even began, she took the time to inspect our house and learn our preferences. Even though we are only a once a month customer, we are treated like they clean our house every week. We have the same ladies come each time, and they have been careful to follow through with our requests. We have two young sons, each in their own rooms. Their rooms can get to be quite a mess. They ladies don't flinch at the mess, but roll up their sleeves and get in there and make it better. They are willing to do whatever is needed to clean our house and straighten things up. They bring their own cleaning supplies and require little supervision. Kate and her staff seem to be very willing to tailor their services to whatever cleaning help that you may need. So if you are not happy with your current cleaning services, give them a try. read more

I was amazed that your crew accomplished so much even though it was just your very first visit. The inside of the dishwasher looked so clean and bright! The kitchen windows were washed and streak-free! It appeeared that some of them had been cleaned both inside and out. Everything just looked so much better than it has in a very long time. . . the way it is supposed to look after it has been properly cleaned! Your crew was so much better that the service i had been using. I was so pleased with the appearance of the tub glass enclosure and the glass shower doors. You all did a wonderful job. The cleaners went right to work on my duplex, cleaned the kitchen and bathroom with particular care, and really exceeded my expectations. They generally send a team of 3 pleasant, trained and efficient cleaners who work their way through our home methodically and quickly. Any minor concerns or requests are quickly handled by a message to Dagmar, the helpful, professional (and wonderful) Manager. As a monthly client, we're scheduled the week prior to the cleaning. On the positive side, the cleaning itself is decent, and the ladies who come to the house are always very nice and respectful. However, their punctuality and communication are major issues. They are consistently late - often upwards of 30 minutes. What makes it incredibly frustrating is the complete lack of proactive communication. They will wait until the exact time they are scheduled to arrive to tell me they are running behind, or they will say they are showing up "soon" and then take over half an hour to actually get here with absolute radio silence in between. This has wasted my time on several occasions and forced me to push back my own plans while waiting around for them to show up. If you have a completely wide-open schedule and don't mind waiting around, their cleaning is fine. But if you value your time and expect basic professional communication regarding ETAs, I highly recommend looking elsewhere.
