Instead of understanding me and adjusting she continues doing what she wants. I'd recommend just getting a pedicure but even then it's not worth it. Disappointed with the Service and Lack of Organization If you're considering making an appointment at Prestige Nails & Spa in Sunrise, be prepared for a frustrating experience. My wife and I scheduled a 4:00 PM appointment for manicures and pedicures ahead of our vacation. Unfortunately, our appointment time meant very little--we weren't even seen until 4:30 PM, and in the meantime, we watched several walk-ins get serviced ahead of us. After finally receiving our pedicures, we were asked to wait at the front desk for our manicures. We patiently waited another 30 minutes with no update. At that point, we expressed our frustration, as only half of our scheduled services had been completed, and it had been over an hour and half since our original appointment time. Rather than offering a resolution, the owner and her son responded with excuses about their staffing issues. While we understand that things happen, this shouldn't fall on the customer--especially when an appointment was scheduled in advance. In the end, nothing was resolved, and it was clear our business was not valued. We won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone who values their time or expects professional customer service. If you're on a schedule, this is not the place for you. read more

Came with a friend to get our mani pedis. There's plenty of parking, next to a Publix on a main road. The place is pretty and clean. I was welcomed upon arriving and was guided to check in at the kiosk. I had an appointment which ran on time I was sat for my basic pedi $30 other options are available if so desired. DON'T GO HERE! I got my gel manicure done by Corey on Friday. By Friday night two peel off. I went back Saturday to get it fix. Saturday night another one peel off. I went back Monday to get it fix but Monday afternoon the rest of my hand nail peel off. So I went Tuesday to get it fix. I requested my money back and they told me they don't do refunds. Save your money and DO NOT go here. I'm from out of town so I went to the closest nail salon by where I'm stay and could not be more disappointed with my nails. I needed an acrylic fill with gel polish and everything appeared to be fine until he started to paint my nails. He GLOBBED on the nail polish and it was so chunky and uneven. I asked for straight, very square, sharp nails and emphasized to not curve the edges. That all went out the window when he added the nail polish. Disgusting if I wasn't in a rush I would've said something to the owner as I was paying, however he stood next to me waiting for a tip because he was leaving, super uncomfortable. Don't waste your money like I did. Edited to add: my nails are also extremely sticky and clearly they were not fully dry which I noted to him and he said I was fine and pulled the uv light away. Came here on a whim and was slightly disappointed with the service. The lady that did my nails was very nice, but she didn't polish my nails very well. My nails were not evenly filed and she didn't give me the shape I asked for. The way she polished was very streaky too and she always missed some part of my nails. The other lady that put the rhinestones on my nails put them on slanted and some weren't in areas I wanted even when I told her again. She also got super glue all over my nails and didn't clean it up. I probably won't come back unless I need to get a touch up. The guy that did my pedicure had no customer service skills whatsoever, and didn't even have the courtesy to say hello, which I refuse to chalk up to poor English skills, as he knew how to ask if I wanted my fingernails done too. Upon walking in the store and requesting a pedicure, I quickly felt a very negative vibe, and although the woman who greeted me seemed nice enough, it was clear that the rest of the staff was not so pleased to work on a person of color (especially the pedicure guy- whose name I don't even know because he couldn't bother to say a quick "hello my name is ___") I swear, when he was chosen to work on me, he couldn't possibly drag his feet and put on his gloves any slower. And other than asking if I wanted to do my nails too, I didn't hear another word from him the entire time, not even a hello. It was that bad. - - Bottom Line - - I *DO NOT* recommend any fellow black sisters to spend their money at this appalling establishment. Instead of offering me a drink, he offers the man behind us one, who wanted white wine. I went here last minute as a walk in on a friday at six and they took me right in. Got a great french pedicure and gel manicure. TJ did my toes she was very nice and asked a lot of questions about how I like them, which is great because sometimes you get a nail tech that just rushes through it and doesnt care how you like your tips. Second worse pedicure and customer service I've ever gotten. I showed up at 7pm because their hours online showed they were open till 8pm. When I get inside they ask me what did I want and I said a pedicure please. They were quick to tell me they were closed but that they would do the pedicure. I found a $5 off $35 coupon in the clipper magazine for new clients, so I decided to try this place out. Prestige is located in the Nob Hill Plaza where Doris Market is located. The plaza is always busy, so parking maybe tough depending on the time of day. I walked in and all the nail techs seemed to be busy. I picked out a polish and was greeted by the name of Pj (I believe). While she was doing my pedicure I noticed an older women (probably the manager) walking by everyone's desks. If I worked there, I would feel uncomfortable. It's as of she micromanagers and has to be on top of her employees. She didn't seem to make any of the employees uncomfortable, so who really knows. The pedicure chair felt great, I believe that's the best massage I've had in a pedicure chair. Pj used different oils & lotions on my feet/legs. What really got my attention, was the mint chocolate scrub she put on my legs. It smelled delicious and it seems to make everything smooth. On to the manicure, I really wasn't impressed with the paint job. When I left, I noticed there was still some paint on my skin and some of the paint had bubbles in it. It may have been because it was a reddish colored polish and I dried my hands in the fan at the table (as instructed), but I would expect a better job since my pedicure was great. Next time, I won't be looking for a deal. I'll go to another new spot I found, Lilly Nails located off Nob Hill & Cleary, in the Publix plaza.. Be sure to ask for Kim at Lilly's. read more

I came here with my friend because this is the place she likes to get her eye brows waxed. As I sat waiting for her I noticed something drop from the ceiling and looked down on the ground. A black liquid is dropping from the ceiling, and I have no idea what it is. Along with this, I looked closer and there are black stains on the floor in other areas. The employees don't clean it up at all, and just walk around it, letting it just sit there and dry up. Then one technician told my friend she would next because the others are "sitting doing nothing." Hands down, THE WORSE experience ever!! Decided to get my mani /pedi as I was in the shopping plaza doing other things. I decided to do French pedi and French shellac. The pedi was decent - no foot massage, just the cold gel which is fine - not gonna complain for that. Then the manicure started- she started cutting my cuticles like she know what she was doing- then all of a sudden I felt a sharp pain and looked down- SHE CUT MY MIDDLE FINGER- DEEP!! She started to apologize but still, I said- whatever, let's just finish this- then she started to buff the nails. Believe it or not, she BUFFED RIGHT OVER THE CUT!! The cut opened up and blood was pouring out. I got up, told her I would like to pay for my Pedicure- the cherry on top- $38.00 for the Pedicure! Sprinkles with the cherry? Stopped in because I was shopping close by. Had a really nice pedicure but......It appeared the tools were not clean. The technician sprayed them with some sort of fluid and I suspect this is their complete sterilizing routine. I too had liquid dripping on me, as mentioned in another review. It was raining and I thought it was a roof leak (likely not the fault of a tenant) but who knows what mystery fluid was dripping, nice! The lady running the salon was friendly and the man who did my pedi did a wonderful job, but seeing the dirty tools and no apparent cleaning of the foot-bath water was yucko. Won't go back. Everyone working was talkative and friendly... they appear to have a lot of regulars. About 8 people were working, all busy and 3 people ahead of me to wait.
