After reviewing all the bids and cross referencing with other previous customers, the board decided on Bernardo Concrete. The team was amazing pre-work and consultation; the wonderful and happy crew was on time and completed on schedule. The new slabs of walkway are even better than before, with rebars. We had some spots where we accidentally damaged after completion, and the team came back to do spot repairs fitting us in their busy schedule. We are fortunate to be graced with such good work. We had the chance to interact with all the teams...very dedicated and committed to doing the best for the customers. It's David's business, so the buck stops with him. David has given excuses and said he would make good on it, but still nothing. My wall was falling over. Turned out the rebar was never drilled into the footing. Bobcat demoed…read moremost of the old wall and put another one up, this time with the rebar drilled into the footing. The remainder of the wall was reinforced by pinning rebar into the foundation at an angle. The wall was then pinned with rebar to the garage wall to make sure it was now level and straight. Bobcat went beyond their contract in making sure this wall will last a long time. I highly recommend them.

Just got done digging up the dead tree Yosi and RainforestLA plated for us so thought I would…read morefinally sit down to write this long overdue review. 1) After we contracted with the team it took them 5 months to start the project. Contracted March 21st 2021, work began August. 2) When they finally started the work Yosi went on vacation and wasn't present for most of the work. 3) Gave the team specific instructions to follow our property line when laying DG. Team failed to follow property line and diverted multiple feet. Had to argue with Yosi to get them to adjust the work which they eventually did. 4) We wanted specific species of tree and plants for our yard design, however Yosi only allows you to use his ONE vendor, which didn't have the varieties we wanted. Despite our disappointment, we went ahead and chose a tree and plants from the selection offered by his vendor. His team then BROKE THE TREE IN HALF when moving it in position. We asked for a replacement however it was the last tree of that variety. Of course it was the only type we liked from the selection, but again we took the disappointment and selected a different species of tree. Unfortunately the second tree wasn't plated correctly and it blew over in a storm and died. We paid another landscaper $400 try to save it by replanting it however the roots were compromised. 5) We selected succulents for the yard which should be pretty tolerant to heat, however several plants died because they did not lay the drip line close enough to the plants. I mentioned this to him, however he suggested it was in the right place despite the plants dying. When we asked him to replace the plants (APRIL 4th 2022) he sent a guy over (AUGUST 19th 2022) with cheaper plants despite our having provided the correct species needing replacement MULTIPLE TIMES. He then informed us he could not find the varieties which had dies any longer. 6) We left the placement of the plants to him. He clustered larger varieties so near to one another they are not touching. Of course they may just be growing faster than others because the drip line is so out of whack. Save yourself the headache and the disappointment.

I had a great experience with Highway Masters, their crew and the owner Herminio…read more We have a restaurant that needed 5,000 SF of asphalt removed and about 4,100 SF of new asphalt put in. I requested they leave the back area open so we could build a patio out of concrete. I reached out to 6 paving companies and met four of them on site and received written estimate from all of them. Prices ranged from 14k to 35K. Some companies sent sales reps and some were the owners themselves. Although, we had already decided on a company and a start date, I reached out last minute to Herminio and asked if he could shoot over a price. The next day we walked the job and he got a grasp of the total scope of work. He had his pricing over to us in hours with a promise to start in two days. Even though he offered to beat any price, it was his knowledge of the ADA codes, grading issues for drainage and solutions to other site issues that really swung my decision to go with them over my first choice. We are glad we did. They came in hot and ready to go on a Tuesday. They demoed the lot, formed areas for concrete, poured and set that and graded everything on the first day. Then on the second day they paved the whole lot in asphalt and rolled it. Boom! Done. Left it to cure, as they striped it out the next day and there you have it, a brand new lot with all the important considerations for natural drainage and wheelchair accessibility. They were professional, accurate, friendly, expedient and most of all knowledgable about potential liabilities. This is a good company with a great crew of guys that take pride in their work and treat you fair. Who could ask for anything more.
