I needed my sister's mobile home's heater checked and cleaned and it turned out the pilot light was out. Robert diagnosed the issue, went to get the part and installed it, ran the heater and tested the pilot light to be sure it remained on. He also checked for gas leaks throughout the mobile home and cut a custom filter since they no longer make that size (a very old heater). Robert was responsive, worked quickly and is very nice. We appreciated him trying to keep the repair to only what was needed. He is honest as he could have easily told us we needed the more expensive repair. Think I was way overcharged. To the point I could not justify running my furnace this winter. No detailed invoice provided. $830 to replace a circuit board. Spent less than 40 minutes. About 20 minutes tops diagnosing, then went and grabbed the part at the plumbing supply. Came back and installed it in less than 10 minutes. Was maybe gone 40 minutes grabbing the part. So was it 2 hours of labor? At what rate? And then told me something (a fan?) was running loudly and may break soon. Why not give me the option of repairing it now? They did come right away but I don't feel at all comfortable with the charges. Maybe if he had written out the time for which he was charging me? And the part number? So I could get an idea of why I was charged so much? If I am wrong and they reply with a detailing of my bill, I will update my post. I later found someone I do work for does the same furnace work. Has worked with this company installing furnaces. Going to ask him about the charges when I see him. read more

Robert was so great to work with and I'll be calling him for anything related to heating and plumbing in the future. We first met Robert when our Home Warranty Company sent him out to take a look at our AC Unit last summer. When he made a recommendation that we needed a new unite, the Home Warranty company wanted a second opinion so shifted us to a different company which was an absolute nightmare to work with. Come this summer, we turn on our brand new AC unit and it's not working, so the first thing we did was call Robert who we originally trusted with the problem and had him come back out on our own dime. He was at our house the next day. I'm sure glad we called him, because he was honest, professional and gave us the answers we needed to make sure we weren't getting the run around. Okay. I've gotta tell you, this was not the first plumbing & heating company we dealt with in the past month after moving into our new home. But, it's the only H&P company we're going to use from now on. We had the home inspection, of course, during escrow. The heating was graded as "functional" but needing maintenance. Ok. When we moved in and had a guest downstairs, this heater seemed to operate intermittently. In fact, a lot of heat seemed to leak out into the stairwell. We had two local companies come to look at the heater and both said it was operational. No big issues. The problems continued, so we called Prestige and Robert came out to look the next day. Yow! He pulled off the cover and immediately pointed out several highly visible cracks in the frame of the heater. Any or all of these cracks was likely to be leaking carbon monoxide when we tried to operate the heater. He was surprised that none of the previous repairmen had noticed this - and so were we. Bottom line, the leaks could have had fatal consequences for our guest had the heater been reliably pumping into the room! Thank you, Robert, for coming to take care of the problem so quickly, for pointing out the danger and the solution, and for being honest and accurate in assessing the necessary repairs! They helped us get our gas heater up and running...without trying to up-sell the whole situation. (We spoke with others whom gave us crazy estimates. I had someone come out to do an estimate. They were on time and knowledgeable. Here is where it gets strange. That was 5 weeks ago. I have tried calling during business hours 3 times. Once someone picked up and promised to call me back, didn't happen. The other two times it just rings out with no voicemail. So, I got on the website and sent an email, no response. A week later I sent another, no response. So at this point I'm giving up. Maybe I am missing something? Anyway, don't want to torch anyone just bummed because I need the work done and they seemed like a good company; and at this point not sure how I could ever move forward with them. My recommend for others is to nail down a post estimate communication plan/expectations otherwise you might be wasting your time. read more

My upstairs bathroom shower is leaking water and I need someone to fix it right away, so I called Prestige Plumbing. Robert text me back quickly after I called him. So we made an appointment to meet and Robert showed up on time. He started to work on the leaking shower quickly as soon as he arrived, and he located the leaking pipe which was hidden inside the wall. He opened the wall, replaced the leaking pipe with a new section of copper pipe and installed a new shower faucet for me. Now I have a working shower! Robert is polite and very professional. Best in town! I sent an email to get an estimate and received a response within a half hour. That was on a Thursday. I was able to have appointment for Monday. Robert came out, took a look at our kitchen sink, told me what needed to be done and the price range, and then went to work to fix it.
