We had our sewer line back up into the basement and first floor tub and toilet. Big mess. Calle these people, man arrived about two hrs later around 5pm. Snaked line and cleaned up as well as possible. He arranged for his firm to send plumbers the next day to repair toilet and another referred to thoroughly clean the basement. $295 +$325 for plumbing jobs. $1600 for cleaning. They responded to a call and arrived when they said they would to give me a bid after PG&E shut off my gas. When I accepted their offer which was very fair (I got several bids) they returned the same day and worked well past sundown to finish the job so I could have heat, cook, and hot water! These guys saved me from my costly mistake. I tried to install a water softener on my own since the water loop was available. After getting all of the parts together I cut the loop and tried installing my hoses. Turns out my 11/4 male adapter didn't fit my loop as it was for a PVC pipe, not CPVC (2 totally different sizes). I went to Home Depot, Lowe's, and Ace. No one had the adapter I needed. I also called all the plumbing stores in my area, but no one had the part. My wife sent out a few yelp messages to see if anyone could help us on a Sunday evening. 1-800-Plumber Air of Monterey not only replied but walked us through their plan. They first informed me that CPVC isn't commonly used. They also said that the male adapter probably wouldn't be available at any of the places around me. They would need to special order it. They would temporarily close the water loop, allowing us to turn on the water until the part came in. Jonathan Maldonado was the technician they sent out. He executed the plan they laid out and re-connected my water loop. He then said he'd be back in 2 days once the part was available. When he came back, not only did he put in the male adapter, but he also set up my Fleck SXT water softener. Having no water for a day was no fun. We found out our Noritz tankless water heater was not working around 10 pm, so after reaching out to these guys on Yelp, they promptly got back to me to schedule an appointment the very next morning and asked what time would work for us. They were on time and diagnosed that one of the parts was just rusty. They cleaned it and charged us nothing. Even if they did actually clean it for us, the gentleman said it wasn't a big deal and said it just needed some maintenance from time to time. Suffice it to say, I won't hesitate to call them again. 1800 Plumber Air came out to replace a leaking valve under our kitchen sink and suggested that our garbage disposal be replaced. So, we purchased a new garbage disposal from 1 800 Plumber and had it installed. Both were done professionally, efficiently and within 45 minutes. I gave them my credit card and the tech said they would email me a invoice. I did not see or sign the invoice. I received an invoice for the total amount with out any details for work done. I called them and asked that they send me a invoice with parts and labor for work done, especially since I purchase a new garbage disposal from them that has a warranty that they said they would honor. After multiple attempts to get a proper invoice. I was told they only give total amount paid for the job and do not provide details! This is the reason for the rating. They are definitively more expensive than other plumbers I have used!! read more

Good: the technician was able to fix the problem and tried to avoid having to remove the toilet. He ultimately had to remove it. Bad: when he replaced the sink faucet, he put the handles on wrong. Also, he took apart some sliding drawers under the sink and didn't put them back. Update: the company reached out to me and offered to fix the faucets. The technician came out within 2 days and not only fixed the faucets but repaired the sliding drawers, which had been broken. My dad and I were looking for a plumber because the tank of our toilet would not fill up.....then I noticed we also had a leaky valve. I saw that this company didn't have a lot of reviews, however, the few they did have, looked very positive and reliable. I was having trouble getting any other 5 star company to take the job, so I reached out. We got an appointment scheduled right away. The appointment was for between 12p-2p; Jonathan and another technician arrived promptly at 12. We had a dual flush, which having our own well, wasn't really needed. We also learned that these toilets can be harder to fix. By the time we would be to remedy the toilet, the leak......it made more sense to just get a new (and better) toilet. The technicians went and picked up the toilet and everything they needed, and were back in not too much time at all! Everything was properly installed, and the old toilet hauled off. We even got a one year warranty for the new toilet. I'm so glad I trusted this company, as we had gone with someone else in the past, that charged us a lot to do very little!
