It failed and JT (the owner) showed up within two hours. He quickly diagnosed the issue but realized we needed a new system. It's 15 years old so I knew it was time and the company is out of business so parts were basically impossible to find. JT understood being without hot water for a couple of weeks would be a challenge. BUT some serious outside the box thinking came into play. There was another project they were removing the same broiler from and going to toss. He drove across town to that project and picked up the unit (that was going to be tossed) and brought over. He took the pieces from the other unit and get ours working until the new unit arrived. I mean come on! Most people would have just shrugged it off with an "it is what it is" type of comment but they went ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure we weren't without hot water for more than half a day. We also had a flap unit that failed, so they replaced that. Shortly after that unit was making a horrible noise and they showed up to check it out. Although they could have stuck me with the bill because I think CalAM shut our water off causing that pump to fail they just handled it. As far as pricing, I called around for another bid on my broiler and they were literally 5k less than anyone else.

I had four (4) plumbing issues that Kris needed to address; install a kitchen faucet and replace the mechanism in the toilet tank, a falling bathroom sink and a major/main pipe leaking under the house. This leaking pipe is the pipe that both bathrooms feed into before going out to the city's main pipeline. A termite company found the leak. I went online to find a plumber to resolve all these problems. When I saw Landmark Plumbing Service had a high 5.0 perfect reviews compared to other plumbing companies I called them. As I recall, Kris came to the house the next day. On that day, I described my four issues to him. Kris at once replaced the mechanism in the toilet tank and installed the new kitchen faucet I had. Before he replaced the faucet, he noticed that my water pressure was excessively high coming from the city main water system. Kris recommended and authorized the installation of a pressure regulating system. The pressure regulating system guaranteed the work Kris performed in the house, and I realized a much improved, cost saving flow with all water related appliances. Kris went under the house and took pictures of the leaking pipe. He went into the bathroom vanity and took pictures of the falling sink. He explained in plain language what the problems were and what is needed to efficiently correct the problems. From my house Kris transferred the pictures with his voicemail instructions to his drywall and painter subcontractor. Kris would then replace the piping. Kris's solution for the falling sink was to replace it with a drop-in sink. He sent the picture and the measurement of the sink opening to his research person to find the right drop-in sink. This saved me from having to buy a costly new vanity. Kris and the subcontractor completed fixing my four (4) plumbing issues within less than one week's time to my complete satisfaction. Kris and Nick kept continuous contact with me.

That really says it all…read more Turns out that even with the outside irrigation shut off as Nicholas claimed was the source of the water leak, there is still an ongoing leak according to Cal Am's meter. So this expert who charged $1,500 got us nowhere with his solution. I would strongly suggest getting a breakdown of his fees in writing before you ever have him show up. And if he isn't willing to state in writing what he or his brother Chris charge per hour, think twice before asking Landmark to show up.
