Amazing! Needed a simple haircut and went to Yelp to find a hair salon and got so much more when I chose to go to Prestigious! Booking my appointment was very easy, called the same day and got an appointment for later in the day without a problem. The salon is in an adorable section of Point Pleasant and is an very cute salon! Very clean and chic looking! Before we began my stylist gave me a 10 minute consultation which was very comforting. The wash was fabulous, great head massage, and wonderful products. Mel, my stylist, explained all the products she was using and all of the products smelled amazing! The "Oi" products made my hair feel great! The cut was extremly precise and Mel took her time to make sure she did not miss anything. Then she blow dried my hair which was even better! She used fabulous products and once again explained what each one was. Meanwhile the rest of the staff was extremly friendly and seemed to really get along and laugh with each other, seemingly like a family. Once my hair was blown out Mel topped it off with curling my hair because I asked for a slight wave instead of a straight blowout. My hair has never looked so good! I was amazed when she was finished!! We only live down in south Jersey for the summer but anytime I am down here and need a haircut, I will definately go to Prestigious! It was a great experience! Best salon EVER!!! I have been going to Antonio for years, and have been around since the start of Prestigious. I cannot imagine going anywhere else! He and the staff are truly artists, and worth every penny! I feel transformed when I step out their door, having had some laughs and good conversation to boot, and probably a little trinket from the boutique too. I always get complimented on my hair and all the credit goes to Antonio. Best part is, you get a cut that grows put perfectly, never looking like you are overdue at all---that's how good he is!! The entire staff is pleasant and always makes you feel at home. I love watching them work, such talent!! I can honestly say, it has become one of my favorite places to go, even when I don't have an appointment because I LOVE browsing in the boutique. There is always something fun and new to explore. The product lines they carry are all natural mostly and unique at that, so you are in for a treat when you stop in...makes it hard not to come home with a bag full! Antonio Tapia, Proprietor of Prestigious Hair Salon, an extremely talented artist himself, expects and receives only the best of beauty culture professionalism from his staff at all times. That being said... this is where I go to be pampered with treatment... I always feel beautiful and young with the results. My services are rendered by staff member Celeste Bost. For my hair treatments.. cut, color, style).. eye-waxing, nails... whatever it be that I wish to have done... I am always completely satisfied. Client satisfaction is always a guarantee at Prestigious Hair Salon, and I'm sure that all of Antonio's staff provides that same satisfaction to their clientele as this is his requirement. I have been going to see Antonio at Prestigious for over 2 years. I can say with complete integrity, Antonio is bar none, the best stylist I have had work on my hair. I drive from Toms River to Point Pleasant Beach just to have him work on me, for goodness sake!!! Antonio is clearly skilled, and shows each client the highest attention to detail. That commitment to quality flows through out the rest of the salon, as the rest of the hair "artists" at Prestigious (because stylist simply does not do justice) show their clientele the same level of attention. As far as price, Prestigious definitely falls into the category of "you get what you pay for". While not the lowest prices around, they certainly don't break the bank. Besides, the end result of a visit FAR outweighs the cost of it. For those who may be interested, Antonio also carries a small inventory of designer / boutique items. From small accessories to purses, there is always something new to consider dropping a little extra on with each visit. I am definitely a fan! read more

I went to Beachcomber salon on Bay Avenue for years. I was so sad to see they closed this location over the fall! On a whim I decided to walk into Prestigious in November and see if they could fit me in for a cut + highlights....no problem! And I have LONG THICK hair! I saw Jessica and she was amazing--precision cutter and great colorist. I put my complete trust in her and wasn't let down. I just went back again today for the 2nd time again had another amazing cut + color with Jessica. My mom even showed up near they end and they got her a cup of tea!! Reasonable pricing....~$145 for partial highlights/glaze/cut/blowout. The space is warm and inviting and everyone there is personable and accommodating. They also honor SpotOn, which we don't have (I think) up in North Jersey (I live in Jersey City), but allows you to collect "points" which you can redeem for services and discounts. I have been getting my hair cut and colored by Antonio for over 10 years. I was so excited for him when he opened Prestigious. Prestigious is a beautiful salon and the staff there is excellent. I always receive professional service and yet feel right at home. The atmosphere is inviting and the staff pampers me so I never want to leave! My wedding party and I went to Prestigious to have our hair, makeup and nails done for my wedding. I was thrilled with the way everything came out. Even my mother (who complains about everything) loved the way Antonio did my hair for my wedding! BEST HAIR SALON!!!! I've been to a million different places and I FINALLY found one that does an outstanding job every single time! Every single hair stylist is AMAZING!
