    Presto Pizza's pepperoni pizza (large)

If you've read my other reviews, one of my favorite weekend or "don't want to cook" night food choices is pizza. I generally do not like chains because the food is over-processed and plastic-like; no character. So, I try and visit mom-and-pop shops because, generally, the food is going to be better and priced about the same. I found Presto Pizza (PP) by complete accident. I was travelling through Lunenburg on my way else where and noticed that this place is extremely close to my home. Made a mental note to try their food. In short, by far and away, PP is one of the best places to get a good pizza at a very affordable price. Case in point? Ok...how about a large three topping pizza for about $14 after taxes? Yup! That's the "everyday" price, not a promo price like chains pull for one or two toppings, much less three. The location is literally right next to the former Whalom Amusement Park grounds, now known as "Emerald Place at Lake Whalom" just over the Leominster/Lunenburg border. The parking lot is small, shared with two other establishments, but you can almost always get a parking spot easily. The inside is bright thanks to large bay windows and quite cheery with paint color choices of blues, whites, and some traces of yellow. The owners/staff are always very nice and genuinely seem appreciative of customers which is great. In the pizza business, competition is beyond fierce, so the art of saying "thank you" and meaning it (as opposed to it being an automatic nicety) goes a long way. The few pizzas I have had from there have been simply amazing. The balance of toppings, sauce, and cheese is nearly always perfect so one does not outweigh the other. I will say though, if you request garlic, be warned: You'll GET garlic...lots of it. I love lots of garlic so it does not bother me, other may wish it was less in quantity. The other note with garlic is I noticed they use a garlic press and press it onto the pie after the sauce is on. Then the cheese is next, followed by toppings. This is how it should be done because most places will press the garlic on top then cook the pie. When garlic is overcooked/burned, it tastes very bitter. PP has it right. The latest pizza I had from PP was a gem: Grilled Chicken, Garlic, and Bacon (see picture). Hunks, I mean hunks, of real grilled chicken, generous amount of bacon cooked crisply, and of course the garlic. The dough seems it might be fresh, but I'm not sure. If it's frozen, I can't tell! It's not too thick, not too thin, cooked evenly and the crust is crunchy, yet chewy. I have had salads from PP, but I was less impressed. They were stock premade salads with an overabundance of iceberg lettuce and not much else. That was disappointing. I also had a chicken salad wrap that was, well, interesting. The chicken salad was homemade (or seemed to be) as it was not that creamed chicken salad most places peddle. The chicken was in chunks giving great texture, but there was an overload of mayonnaise. What promise the chicken salad had was literally drowned. Again, a disappointment. It seems pizzas are the forté there, so I stick with that as the menu choices are garden-variety offerings you find everywhere. Presto Pizza is now one of my go-to places for pizza when the mood strikes. The pricing is amazingly affordable for what you get compared to the competition, even after their recent price hike. If you live in the area and are looking for a great pie at an even greater price, Presto Pizza is one you should put on your list the next time you want pizza.

I also grabbed a huge sandwich because I work overnights. Fried Ice Cream ; unfortunately I think I was oversold on this. When I talked to the counter server last time, I told her that I've been disappointed with many places that coats cornflakes on a scoop of ice cream and that I am searching for a place that actually batters ice cream and deep fried. She told me they deep fried their ice cream, and even Sookie herself told me it's fried. I don't know, from my customer POV it doesn't seem like it. I have to clarify that the item was delicious. It's just not what I expected when I ordered it. Asian Cheesesteak ; I ate this several hours later and cold. This was GOOD. Seemed like some sort of charred teriyaki flavor which definitely matches what it looks like. Very satisfied with this and highly recommended.

They have peanuts in the shells but no holders to put them in. Sign says cant take home due to food allergies. Ufff the grilled cheese was so good and everyone finished their order! When we first got there. There was only family ordering in front of us and someone updating their online order but after we placed our order there was a slam of online orders so ours took a bit longer but nothing crazy. Staff (mainly teens) were attentive and got our orders right plus the food was great temperature! We prefer to eat in simply due to the fact that we don't like cold food and we still find ourselves with cold food. So thankful that was not our case. It's def a great treat for lunch!

I can't believe it's been over five years since I reviewed Yamato…read more I eat here about once or twice a month and I have nothing but positive experiences here, both with food and the awesome staff. They are always lightning quick and friendly!! I don't think the decoration has changed much over the years, and its still a dimly lit cozy place for dinner. When I realized how long it had been, I KNEW I had to order a small feast for the wife and I. Bubble Milk Tea (Coconut) - this drink doesn't factor into my rating of the restaurant. I know that most places that aren't dedicated to selling Boba/Fruit/Milk Teas are just going to sell mediocre instant powder mix drinks. with that said, I love everything coconut and I was a happy boy with my drink. I especially loved the large size which made the $9 cost easier to swallow since that's the same price I'd pay at a Gong Cha. Miso Soup - wife and I order this EVERY TIME. of all the places we've tried this, this place consistently serves our favourite. of course this is very subjective since Miso Soups can come in so many different concentrations, and the miso section in H Mart will show you how many flavor varieties this soup can come in. Gyoza Soup - the clear broth is very refreshing and stays nicely in the background to let the gyoza be the star; which tastes just like I would expect. yummy pork in a soft, broth-soaked wrapper. I personally think the ratio is a bit off and there should either be less broth or 1 additional gyoza in the bowl, because it seems a little imbalanced with so much broth. Seafood Salad - this is a perfect size serving that doens't ruin your appetite for the main course. nice ratio of crab meat, squid, shrimp, etc. it actually comes with a drizzle of Sriracha (or some hot sauce) already drizzled on top and it was a perfect complement to the salad. Holiday Appetizer - it's imitation crab meat and cream cheese wrapped up and fried. it's delicious and indulgent and it's served on a small bed of greens. I love getting this app every now and then. Honey Sandwich - I'm not a professional sushi reviewer with delicate taste buds. all I can say is that these little triangle bites are splendid and full of filling. Salmon Avocado Roll - uhh this needs no explanation. wife gets this every time and loves it. happy wife happy life. Tempura Ice Cream - this place sells one of my most favorite fried ice cream. the tempura batter is lovely and crispy and it actually encapsulates most of the ice cream. it's a must-get if you have a sweet tooth. this is NOT like other places that either do a cakey batter or they lazily top off a scoop of ice cream with corn flakes. this place is very close to the real deal experience I get in Boston.

The simple task of a large flask of sake with 2 cups with a flask was an effort in itself. It took four takes to do this and me getting up and asking for a 2nd cup to get it correct. Food was decent. Of course this place is very close quarters. Not really a fan of being sat in the hall way, but if you're coming in with just two people expect that. Unsatisfactory overall for this visit.

When I got home an unwrapped the sandwich it literally looked like I'd gotten and empty sub roll! There was ZERO evidence of any tuna from the outside of the roll. When I pulled the roll open, there was "maybe" a tablespoon of tuna in the entire sandwich and it was mixed with lettuce when I'd specifically mentioned plain. I could see the top & bottom of the sub roll through the tuna inside! Absolutely unacceptable! Do NOT waste your money at this place unless you like to eat empty sub rolls.

This location recently opened on Route 12 (Main St) in the former Tre Sorelle next to Taco John's. I usually stop at the Waltham location which is the currently the closest shop to my home. On my way through Fitchburg, I stopped by this new Jimmy John's which also features a drive thru and pickup window. The entrance into the shop is in the back. There is table seating inside across from the counter. My favorite sub is the #12 Beach Club, but I wanted 16" #15 Club Tuna Sub ($12.99 plus tax in 2024). I already have the Jimmy John's app, which powers their Freaky Fast Rewards program to earn free food at Jimmy John's. After your first online order, they send you a free 8" sub. They also offers discounts, rewards and challenges through their app. II placed my order and paid on the app, and headed over to Jimmy John's in Leominster. My giant Club Tuna sub was already bagged and ready to be picked up on the shelf to the right near the entrance door upon arrival. The tuna sub was well made filled with plenty of cold tuna salad (light mayo), crisp lettuce, tomato slices and provolone cheese slices on a firm soft and chewy french bread sub roll. I enjoy my sub with the bag of chips I had in my vehicle. They have rewarded me a free birthday sub, free dessert and free side recently and I was given a $5.99 regular sub offer after this app purchase.
