Dal Rich seems like a fitting name since it is literally at the city line that divides Richardson and Dallas. It's owned and operated the Weitzman's who in 2022 did a major update and rebranding to Dal Rich Towne Square. I frequent this shopping center a few times a week as there are several establishments I frequent in the Towne Square, like Jason's Deli, Cottonwood Market, McDonald's, Selda Bakery, the UPS store and more. One thing I really like is that I am usually able to park right in front of where I am going. There is also good traffic flow here which I like as well. It's an aesthetically pleasing place after the renovation!

I was a little disappointed though, that when we went to turn in our completed food passport at the end of the event to enter into the drawing for a gift certificate, the event tents were already packed up and gone by 4:30 pm although the center stated the event ran until 5 pm. It's been years since I hav been to Downtown Garland, and tonight as I walked around their square I…read morewas completely charmed with their presence. Beautiful old buildings are still the main staple surrounding the square. And I do love old buildings! The vintage bricks. Their big sweeping windows - perfect for grand store displays. And if I'm real lucky they will have original signage on the buildings. That's the part that makes me the happiest. And today I was in luck as I walked along Garlands square - the most beautiful old sign glowed in the night like a beacon drawing me in - it is the Plaza Theater. I stood there in awe. Yes, it was a grand thing to see! And they have many shows there. I just missed Sleepy Hollow. I wish I knew about it, that would have been a treat to see in this theater. Looking at upcoming events I am already making plans to attend some of them. I truly cannot wait! With it being October, pumpkins and straw filled the benches with fall sweetness. And children were playing in the middle courtyard. There's something beautiful about children playing and laughing. so, now I must end this review with a quiet but meaningful statement - Downtown Garland has captured that small home town feel many of us look for. So, don't miss out on this rare treat if you are in the neighborhood.
