**Mimi here. To clear out the air on the recent reviews from several years ago, after Covid 2020, Pretty nails have left a lot of clients upset due to pricing or customer service. Time has change and nail became a luxury to upkeep. We're no longer the basic $25 Full Set salon. Clients bring in pictures and have expectations. Being part of Pretty Nails team on and off for 15+ years, for those who know me personally, I am very personal and patience. For the one rating a customer said that Mimi and her sister was very rude. I clearly remember that incident from that time. From past experiences, this was a hard to please customer and there is always two side to every story. For everyone who's in customer service business, you will get those customers once in a blue moon. They can't get their frustration out to make you feel bad, so they take it out on their keyboard to give you bad ratings. I'm not sure who still uses Yelp, but it's a new year, I want to reintroduce myself. For new customers in the area that looking for a new nail place, don't let the post covid review scare you away. Favorite nail spot. They always get me right. The owner is so down to earth and all the ladies are nice and welcoming. A little pricy but they always do my nails the way I like them. Not too thick. I really wanted to make this my go to place because we literally just moved into the new building across the street. I attempted to go here a few weeks ago on a Friday afternoon for a gel manicure and a regular pedicure but they were packed. So I opted to get a pedicure at another salon in the area and made an appointment for the next day at 2pm. I arrive at 2pm and they had me waiting until 2:30pm ! Strike one The female tech I had was older probably in her 40s and she stated how she was tired and kept looking at the clock and saying that it had been a long day and she couldn't wait to be done the for day. Strike two From what I can tell they only seem to care about customers that are getting acrylic nails as they can be money makers. My tech tried to persuade me to get acrylic, she stated that it would help my nails grow. Ummm yeah that's a no, acrylic nails do nothing for me but make my real nails brittle and thin. She rushed through my paint job ( only 2 coats) and charged me $28, an extra $3 to remove the gel I already had on my hands smh Overall, my manicure was crappy and chipped after 3 days what a waste of my time and money. All the ladies are super nice, and they treat you as a friend other then a customer. They do great designs as well, over 500 Gel polishes! I got my nails done two weeks ago because my nail tech cancelled last min WORST CHOICE OF MY LIFE I USE TO GET MY NAILS DONE 5 years ago by them it was amazing now it's terrible they didn't even shave my nails down they just put acrylic right on top it was very bulky it was unattractive and they charge me $115 for it I had to go on a trip so I didn't really have much of a choice but I will never be going back to get my nails done again I'm actually really upset about this I don't know why they switch the girls that used to be there before but they need to bring the other girls back read more

Absolutely LOVE it here! I got a full set and they killed it (as usual). It was my first time coming since the shutdown and they are extremely sanitary. Upon arrival you must wash your hands, they take your temperature, and they only use every other nail station. There is also a divider between you and the nail tech. In addition you get your own bag of nail tools (file, buffer, and drill band for $3) to take with you every time you come so you know your tools are clean! read more

I don't usually go to get my nails done, so when I do- I look for a good experience. Firstly, the people that work at this place are amazing. They always have great suggestions if you are not quite sure what you want, and they do the most to make you feel comfortable. The woman that I had today was just amazing. Definitely one of the top five pedicures I have had! I was just there for a simple Mani-pedi but I was there with a friend who had some more serious nail work done. Mimi was the woman working with my friend and she is amazing! I was actually sad that I didn't get more done- maybe next time! My cousin and I came here this morning to get a refill and a color change. The first problem that we encountered was that we waited well over two hours and they took other people in front of us who came in after we did. The second problem was that they were rude when talking to my cousin and I, and rough when handling our feet. The final problem that was that the price was extraneous. They tried to charge me $38 for a refill with regular polish, and said it was length, however I've never had to pay 38 dollars for a refill anywhere i went, and definitely not for regular polish. this was my second time coming to this establishment .. The worst place ever! I am not sure why people think that they can treat others with such disrespect and still continue with business as usual. I showed my nail tech 6+ designs. After confirming i didn't want a poweser nail bed we decided to go with a mode polish. Things went extremely left. the color was not nude so i picked a color then that wasn't available she then says she can't do the design. I show her several more and it's another issus. She begins painting my nails pink. Where did pink come from??? I never picked a color. She aggressively begins taking the get pink polish off. I stopped her before she could cut my skin with the drill. I said if you can't do your job in a pleasant non aggressive manner then fin someone else that can! She was rude and combative. i went on paying over 100 for nails to sticking with the basic of $35. i could not stand to allow the pleasure of more money with any type of care respect or apology. I will never come here and spend my money. They are disrespectful rude and over priced. i picked a color to just hurry and go she then said $5 because the gel color had glitter. Been going to them on & off when im to busy or to lazy to do gel on my nails. I would always come to them to drop $90+ to do acrylic & nail art for the Kentucky Derby, birthday events and weddings. Even when my Ma would come visit(but i would always have to nag to get exactly what I want and pay for which was always frustrating for me) but I would always tip $10 or more to make up for it. I was NEVER rude. Always said please, sorry for the trouble, & thank you. They are a very busy salon. I understand but when i called 7/10 - 3x's before lunch & after work & nobody answered. I thought ok busy. But then another 3x's 7/13 still no answer. And today still no answer. But then dialed *67 to block my ph# around 3:00 they actually pucked up, but then dialed again without it at 3:30 no one picked up again. Absolutely terrible experience here! Although I had an appointment, they had me soaking my nails in pure acetone (whatever happened to wrapping nails with foil???), which started to burn my skin. After being ignored the whole time, I was finally taken by a young female who didn't know a word of English and was clearly not understanding what I asked for-- she didn't know how to do coffin shape nails and I literally had to walk her through it (who's the nail tech here??). Then the polish I chose came out looking nothing like what the bottle had in it, and the techs were so rude saying they're not the ones who made the polish (clearly it's cheap and has no pigment to it). Michele K. - your missing out. Pretty Nails is my nail salon of choice. I went there religiously every 2 weeks and got the works, nails, toes, wax and lashes. These ladies are professional, pleasant and do amazing work. I have never left there displeased with the service or the work. My nails still looked good on the second week.. I would get compliments on how nice they looked, the design work done by these women are beautiful. I have issues with my feet being diabetic.. and the owner Susan really took care of me. I made an appointment for 12pm for eyelash extensions. I sat and waited after checking in for 45 minutes. They almost took a walk in before me If I hadn't had spoken up... the lady I had prior said she would fix the loose eyelash extensions so no worry and to leave them on instead of removing completely before my appointment. I got a different lady today who informed me to take them off in the bathroom because a new full set would be better. OK NO PROB. 4 minutes in the bathroom and I return and they took the walk ins. So I kindly explain I've been waiting for an hour and was misinformed by the last employee to leave them on so how long? I get a rude response saying "I don't know ask Tracy" idek who Tracy is. Went here for a quick mani pedi before a wedding. They took me right in which was nice but the services were not great. Pedicure was $27 which is pretty pricey and there was zero massage (first world problems, I know.) I also got a gel manicure. They used a weird off brand polish which needed about 5 coats to get it looking halfway decent and it peeled off in less than a week. The place itself seemed dirty. Won't be back. read more

I went to Yelp to find a new nail salon and this one was so highly rated and the pics look so great I had to give them a try. I am so glad I did! Pretty nail salon is a gem in the heart of Bridgeport. It's a small shop with a lot to offer. The work they do is exceptional and the staff are friendly and attentive. They have made a new customer for life ! Sang was amazing. But everyone who works there is extremely talented. Tried Pretty Nail Salon for a refill and can say I am quite happy. My manicurist was Sang and he was great. Lots of concern for what I wanted and very quick. I have lived in the Bridgeport area for 6 years and normally go to Norristown nails or in the city of Philadelphia to get my nails and lashes done. Due to my work schedule I decided to try this place for my eyelashes this past Saturday. I loved the tech was super quick and the lashes were cute. I normally get mink lash extensions, but I was pressed for time. I woke up on Sunday and I had no lashes. Since the place was closed I couldn't speak with anyone nor leave a message . I finally called and got a hold of someone I believe named sue, she told me it wasn't her issue and I should take care of them . I demanded to speak with the owner. While friendly, there is a severe lack of professionalism. My sister and I both got gel pedicures and she was charged $40 while I was charged $45. The woman doing my sister's nails dug into the side of her nail and now my sister has an infection to which she has had to go to the doctor. My gel manicure has chipped and it has only been 24 hours since our visit. All of this after standing in the rain for 15 minutes because they were late opening the shop. I am highly dissatisfied with my nails. The nail technician was Tiffany. My nails are lumpy, the shape is horrible, the paint is horrible! I don't know what the previous reviewer was referring to when it comes to this nail salon. EVERY GIRL (Susan, Amy, Mi Mi, Jenna, and Tracey) is absolutely AWESOME. They are always professional and friendly. Even when they are packed, they always acknowledge your presence and keep you informed on the length of the wait. They appreciate any gratitude but with my MANY visits, I have NEVER heard a "cashier" (which doesn't even exist in a nail salon) make a comment about a "small tip". Please don't use that review as a premise for your decision to go to this nail salon. They are definitely the BEST in the area (Plymouth Meeting, King of Prussia, Conshohocken, Bridgeport, etc) and I would recommend them to ANYONE looking for a GOOD nail salon :-) read more

I have gone to this shop two times. Both times were to get pedicures so this review is solely based off of my experience with the pedicures. First visit I decided to get gel since I was going on vacation and I thought it would last longer. It did not make the full 2 weeks before it was falling off my toes. It was definitely not worth the $15 difference in pricing. My friend got a regular pedi and when I came back her nails still looked perfect like she just got them done. I was highly disappointed in the quality for the price. However the girl who did my nails was friendly and did a good job with cutting my cuticles. Second visit. I came back about a month later and decided to try a regular pedi. Since the first time they did some updating to the shop and it looks very nice. But you will be paying for it, since prices have gone up. I still had gel on my 2 big toes that needed to be taken off. So I thought they would do the cotton ball and foul method, nope... they took a nail sander and sanded it off. It was very painful and I have never seen this technique done before or I would have not gotten the gel prior. Besides that part being painful, which the lady doing my nails thought was funny. She dug at my cuticles until I was in tears. After telling her multiple time to stop and move on. This was the most painful pedicure I have ever had. And was in pain until the following day. I think it was a combination between the sanding of my nail and unnecessary digging at the cuticles. The polish job was average and I am going on 4 days with no chips so I can't complain to much about that. But needless to say I won't be going back after my last experience. I don't know her name but I received a refill here by one of the girls and it was beautiful my nails were gorgeous for two weeks. She did a very intricate design which was dainty and classy. Yesterday was my first time going to this salon. They were very accommodating seeing as I had no appointment and it was a full house. The wait was not long at all. Easily one of the best pedicures that I've ever had in my life. Susan was such a sweet woman. She was open to conversation and not stand offish. I can appreciate that. I give it a 2 1/2. I went with Sang & he was good, but extremely overpriced. I walked in & asked how much for a full set at the counter & she said $25. Okay. That's an average start price. He tried to tell me my nails would be $70. Then he called me cheap when I told him I wasn't looking for something in that price range. There's ways to upsell, insulting someone isn't the way. I paid $45 in the end & my cuticles aren't clean & 4 nails weren't shaped correctly. Please, charge at ur skill level. & at the end he reintegrated that maybe next time I won't be so cheap. I've only gotten my nails done once here but they were beautiful and I had such a good time. Girls and guy were so nice and funny(real and down to earth). Thanks to reviewer kiersten c. I decided to come, and my neighbors highly recommended it. My nails always lift and pretty easily come off, not sure why, but these did not budge and I'll finally be able to get a refill without repairs. . I'm excited to have a good nail salon near me now! Don't expect a day Spa feeling. . It really is more of a nail salon atmosphere but I'm really a happy customer and this will Def be my nail spot from now on. read more
