I have been a loyal very satisfied customer for over 10 years. I will never go to another Salon ever. They are very clean, they clean shop after they clean I've never seen people clean so much in my life. Tiffany the owner, takes pride in her shop and it's always updating whatever she can just recently all new Nails stations Pedicure Chairs. While I'm sitting inside the shop I normally fall asleep because I am so comfortable but when I don't fall asleep and somebody comes in there or I hear about sometime nonsense from new customers trying to start trouble and say something bad about Tiffany or one of the other workers or the shop, I get real pissed. Here is an example of what seems to piss people off real bad meanwhile I think this is the best idea. When we went through Covid Tiffany implemented a policy were you come into the salon and before you touch anything you immediately wash your hands. Then after you do that is when you go over and start handling all the nail colors and all the lids. That's genius so that's still done today it's a brilliant idea and if you look whos still around today...Covid! read more

Poor experience for a toe polish change. I did not have an appt and they were able to fit me right in. I was greeted and asked to wash my hands. From there the customer experience went down hill. Two employees were in the pedicure chairs talking and eating while using the massage chairs. One of them told me where to sit. I waited around 5 mins and was never greeted by the woman who did my toe polish. Service was okay but not great. I will not be returning. read more

You know, why even bother to have a nail salon? They run this place so poorly! The woman who is normally in the front is so forceful and aggressive. She tries to force gel manicures on everyone when they don't want them! In such an awkward way! I only came here because I had a gift card and needed my nails done last minute. I did opt for gel because I needed it to last. I got them done on Tuesday, it's now Friday and they are all peeling off! What a rip off. I'd been here years ago when living in the area and decided to try them again because I want to find a place in route from work to home. I arrived about 6:15 and was immediately seated and my nails wrapped to remove my existing dip. I picked two dip colors and asked the technician her opinion on the colors. She recommended one color over the other bc she said the color would be more pigmented. My when I arrived were oval shaped. After removing my old dip she asked if I wanted my nails cut down I said yes, but keeping the shape. She cut the down but the were much rounder. After she'd shaped the all I pointed out that some fingers were shaped very different from the same finger on the opposite hand. She fixed two and said she would have to shape them more later (I'm used to that so I left it alone). After she finished the dip process and a very light final shape I told her they were too round, I wanted the oval and she had said before she would shape them more. She shaped them more but they never became oval and I knew I was asking for more than she was capable of. She then took out the UV light. I asked why bc at the salons I've visited dip nails don't require a gel top coat. She said there was something wrong with their SNS top coat and it wasn't shiny so they are using gel until they replace it. I told her I wish I would have know that before bc I don't like the UV light. She continued and I was stuck bc she was already starting the gel. My pinky nail was a lighter color on the end. She fixed it by putting on another coat of dip, but now it's thick looking. An added issue is that the gel has air bump and isn't smooth. I told her I wasn't happy with the service and she acting like she couldn't hear me. I paid and left. I decided once I got to my car that I wanted to talk to someone else. I went back in and spoke to the male owner. He was dismissive of my concerns. He told me most places put gel on dip, ran his finger over the lumpy gel and told me he didn't feel anything and he tried to get me to have another customer rub my nails to see if there were lumps. I told him I would not ask or allow a customer touch my nails. He told me the 2 hours it took for me to get a polish change on my toes and a dip/gel manicure was part of why I should not be complaining. They took there time. They wasted my time. The one thing I didn't like is that they have a different person do each service, which in my opinion, is a cop-out for bigger tips. Otherwise, the salon & employees were nice. I love this salon, I've been coming here for so many years and many of my coworkers frequent here as well since its location is so convenient and they do such a great job. Every person who has helped me always does quality work and is friendly and patient. I absolutely love the dip SNS manicure. If I'm unsure about a nail color they will always help me pick something out which I appreciate them going above and beyond to make sure I'm happy. They are quick and no frills, yes sometimes you may have to wait but you can always call ahead to see if there is a wait or make an appointment. There was completely nothing pampering or luxurious about this place, much less unique. A companion and I both requested (non-gel) pedicures and got two different types of pedicures. Mine was adequate and included a little leg massage, a soak, cuticle trim, and foot buffing to deal with calluses. My companion, who was sitting next to me, received the most basic pedicure b/c the technician had another client. I was charged $32 and she was charged $22. But if the technician did not have time to do a proper pedicure, she should not have accepted the client. Equally important, the technicians were gruff. They seem not to command even basic English. As a result, the entire interaction was kind of mimed or a very rough tapping so that one knew to remove one's foot or what to do next. Even when we sat to dry out toenails, there was zero communication about how long it might take, and no one came back to tell us goodbye - just to make sure we were charged. Avoid this place. There is a nail salon on every corner. Not worth going to one with such poor customer service. read more

Being new in town, I asked a couple of people where to go, looked on Yelp (like all smart people do and SHOULD do!!) and after a really bad manicure last weekend at Classic Nails in the KOP Mall, I decided I would try out Unique Nails by doing a pedicure. I'm not used to big nail salons with lots of people coming in and out, but they seem to be the norm around here. Anyhow, Unique Nails was very clean, my pedicure turned out very well (I brought my own color, so I can't comment on the color selection) and I am happy with my renewed $25 feet. I came to this place on a Friday afternoon and was able to get a french manicure and pedicure right away. The pedicure was average- they do give hot stone massages though. I really like my french gel manicure! It's been two weeks and all my nails are still intact like they were when I first got them!!! This place is super close to my parent's house so it's convenient when I'm visiting. I think it was around $55 for my french gel manicure and regular pedicure. Service is pretty friendly! read more

The only thing that upsets me about this place is that they pick and choose who they greet/say goodbye/show good customer service to. I walked into the establishment and the techs looked up and then looked back down w/out saying a word to me. I had an appointment so I went to the wall, picked out a color (their selection is unimpressive) and sat on the chair. I felt embarrassed but I tried to play it cool. After about 10 minutes, one person finally came over (only because she had to seat another customer at the nail dryer that was right next to me) and told me that my nail tech would be with me soon. After that, each woman that walked in after me was greeted with smiles and pure joy. That was really saddening and I don't like jumping to conclusions, but let's just say I think I understand why they didn't feel like greeting ME in particular........ Michelle is extremely jovial and is the best nail technician that I have ever come across. Not only is she warm and open, but she is very skilled! I moved to PA from NJ and was reluctant to try out a new place. (Prior to coming to Unique nails, I would drive back to NJ to my normal spot - crazy, I know!) I only come because Michelle is nice and talented. I've always had fantastic experiences here until today. My nail tech was very short with me and didn't listen to anything I asked about my nails. I am not one to complain, but she really messed up. On my toes she cut off a big chunk of my skin to the point where I was bleeding. For my hands, she missed multiple spots with polish and all of my nails are different lengths and shapes. Some of my nails are already chipping and I left the salon about 45 minutes ago. I am extremely upset and will not be coming back to unique nails. read more

I got a pedi yesterday and was thoroughly satisfied. I had a gentleman. He massaged my legs and feet with hot stones! Rubbed them down with warm oil!!! Very relaxing. They use the machine with the pad to smooth your feet since salon can't use razors. My feet were smooth but could have been a little smoother. he was very quick. I was out in under an hour. The four stars are for Liz only! Lovely woman, does a wonderful job. She takes the time to address my cuticles the way I like them and doesn't give me an attitude. I have had another tech before, I get the same color every time. I asked for the color and he used another color insisting that it was the correct color. He was also holding the nail polish bottle with a rag, hiding it. The manicure was sloppy, wrong color, and very rushed. He wouldn't address the issue of it being the wrong color. And the owner could see I was upset and did nothing. The Nail House must be 150 yards from them. There are too many nail salons in the area, you would think they would be concerned about customer service UPDATE 4-28-2018 I had an appt at 11:00 am. Got there and the tech was in the beginning of another person. She was taking the foil off her gel nails. The man told me to wait 15 min. I DONT THINK SO We make appts for a reason. I had other appts that day. I always have to wait at least 10 min. I'm sick of it. And he couldn't believe I wouldn't wait ten fifteen minutes. It was the principle of it. Have been coming here for over 10 years to get my eyebrows waxed. After a few times of going when they've done a great job, it has been my go to place. However the experience and job done is very hit or miss -- even if it is the same person doing it. Today I went in and walked out with my eyebrows jagged and uneven. The lady also removed hairs from the front of my right brow which clearly should not have been removed, making my eyebrows look very short and stubby. Today will be my last time coming. I came in on my lunch break today to simply get an eyebrow wax. The woman tells me it will be a couple of minutes...a couple...not five not ten. So I'm standing there waiting she takes another woman back to the waxing room. This woman comes out the lady sees me still standing there waiting , proceeds to check the other woman out and schedule her next appointment. She doesn't acknowledge me or say be with you in a second..nothing. Then as I think she's going to take me back..nope! She goes up to two other women sitting at the dryer who have already had their nails done and seemingly are just hanging around at the salon and asks which one of you is getting waxed and proceeds to take them back. Really? Really...!? I stopped the woman and I told her you know you should have told me you were going to have me standing here for twenty minutes or tell me how many people were ahead of me. No apology, No nothing so I walked out and will never go back. The manicure they did was OK, but I noticed the lady was in a bit of a hurry. I had to point out to her that she needed to make some corrections as she did not pay that much attention to detail. While cutting my cuticles I seriously thought she'd cut off my whole skin any second, which luckily did not happen. Also, the colors they have are very outdated. Longest waits ever !! Who has the time ?? I used to come here often because of the great results every time I got my nails done. Never again. I tried coming on three different occasions and waited more than 20 minutes before giving up each time. I gave them 3 chances to get their staffing right. On the 3rd try I scheduled an appointment - still had to wait and once more, still didn't get seen. I had to end up going to another salon to get my nails done. "WORST" welcoming I have ever experienced! I decided to get a refill but before I could wash my hands and pick a color, I was asked to pay first!! I asked why and Tiffany Sharply replied because we've had people leave without paying. In all my years of getting my nails done I have never been asked to pay first. I was really offended because she basically assumed I would skip out on payment......lol... I was really tired after a night shift and didn't feel like the BS. I did ask was this RACIAL thing and she said no its because she's never seen me there before.... WTF, HUH? I paid her and just wanted to start the service because I'm exhausted at this point. Lisa, who was very quiet at first but ended up being exceptional!! did a great job on my set. I am very pleased and would book with her again. In the middle of my service a WHITE man entered and asked for a pedicure he was led to a chair without being asked for payment up and was clearly a new client. While sitting in the chair he made a call and told them to come get a mani-pedi at this place next to the place he gets his hair cut. (SuperCuts) which confirmed he'd never been there before. Meanwhile, a White woman walked in and sat beside him without paying up front. SMH... I guess they didn't fit the description of someone who would skip out on payment. HAHAHAHA! If I wasn't so tired, I probably wouldn't have had the patience to overlook the obvious and took my GREEN Money elsewhere! I got a refill on my acrylics and was back twice in a 4 day period getting broken nails fixed, so my refill ended up costing me $35 before the tips.. which wouldn't have made me as annoyed if my nails actually looked nice. Only half of them are the shape I wanted them to be. I left more and more frustrated every time I went in & will not be going back, more broken nails or not. read more
