Didn't really get much out of it and seems like it is something you would need to go back for multiple times to get the full benefits out of it. We could have done the foot detox but it wasn't something we were interested in so we did the red light. The guy filed my nails so fast and didn't even ask if I liked the way they looked. I had to ask him to refile one and felt nervous about asking for any more corrections. He took my longest nail and somehow cut it down to be my shortest nail. My nails ended up still being different lengths and my thumbnail is uneven. Then a woman walked in and it was clear she had an appt with him too. He brushed the paint on my fingers so fast. My thumbnails look especially sloppy, the edges are uneven and bumpy. The glitter coat on top is uneven as well. As soon as he was done, I went over to my mil who's was still enjoying a nice leg massage. I had to wait for her to get her toes painted and the guy that did hers did a great job. I thought about calling the salon for a fix, but I was leaving on vacation and didn't have time to squeeze it in. All in all, I might go back for a pedi, but never another mani.

Two days later another broken nail but this time with significant damage to my real nail. I have very little grow out (see pictures) and already two missing nails. That's not right. It is more than likely due to the fact that he did so little to ensure that the bond was good between the false and the real nail. No filing, no triming to my desired length or even shaping the nail before putting the acrylic on. When I say there was no prep - I mean NOTHING. Unfortunately, my real nails have suffered again and they actually hurt. They are not pretty. They are not shaped well. The color coverage is not even and you can see many bare spots. I understand that I was your last appointment of the day but I work two jobs and I work hard for my money. I'm so sad that so many steps were skipped in an effort to leave for the day. Maybe it was a bad day? Maybe he thought it didn't matter? But whatever his reason was still doesn't change the outcome and damage for me.

The guy was so rushed and aggressive; he cut me twice within 10 minutes of being there. He was distracted the entire time, constantly getting up and down to talk to his employees or answer the phone with the nail tools still in his hands. The nail clippers were so dull that he had pull on the ends to get them off. He also paid no mind when doing the clear coat and slathered it all over my skin (huge biohazard). When I brought this to his attention he did nothing to fix it. He was also extremely rough with the "massage", so much so that the entire chair was shaken back and forth. I left with EXTREMELY short, sore, and completely JAGGED nails that are too short to be fixed elsewhere.

THE STYLIST: Jen arrives from Salt Lake City where she had fifteen years of experience as stylist at an Aveda salon - with all the great training Aveda provides. I imagine Jen's former clients in Salt Lake must really be missing her - and their Facebook posts say that is true - because Jen just cut and colored my hair for the first time and both services were simply top notch. My hair is fine - and I have found that unlike fine wine, fine hair does not improve with age - and challenging to cut. I have tried a number of different stylists in the six years I've lived in the Boise area and Jen provided not only the best cut to fit my hair that I've had here but among the best cuts I've had in a dozen years. (And I say that from the perch that my long term stylist in my previous city was crackerjack good.) More than ample clear floor space for path of travel from stylist's chairs to shampoo area. Accessible loo too. One would assume 30 years into the ADA being law all salons would do as good a job of getting it right as does Studio. But, alas, as woman with mobility limits from having MS since I was 20 (ye gads...a long time) I can sadly report few salons get it right as Studio does. Good for Emmy!
