If I could give Freddy at Prince Air HVAC more than 5 stars, I would. Like most homeowners, I dread the moment when I hear mysterious noises coming from somewhere they shouldn't be coming from. In my case, it was the bathroom -- weird gurgles, a bit of dripping -- enough to trigger visions of catastrophic plumbing or AC disasters. And, like anyone who's ever dealt with HVAC before, I also dreaded the idea of calling someone out and racking up unnecessary costs. Enter Freddy. I called him around noon, fully expecting to be told, "Sorry, we're booked solid, maybe tomorrow." Instead, Freddy let me know he was finishing another job but could still make it out today. He was driving in from Wilmington, I'm down in Long Beach, and true to his word, about an hour and a half later I got a text -- he was 10 minutes away. From the moment he arrived, I could tell I was dealing with a pro. He threw on protective shoe covers before stepping inside (huge plus for anyone who appreciates people respecting their home), and as we walked down the hall, I started explaining what I was hearing. Before we even got to the unit, he already had a theory -- and, sure enough, once he checked it, nailed it immediately. Secondary drain pipe issue. What impressed me was how quickly and confidently he handled it. Freddy pulled out the AC filter, resolved the issue, and then -- without any upselling or pressure -- gave me solid recommendations on what I could do for both short-term fixes and long-term maintenance. He even stepped outside to check our system, offering suggestions to keep it running efficiently for the long haul. All he asked in return? "Just leave a review." That's it. So here's my honest take: If you're looking for HVAC service and want someone reliable, professional, and genuinely good at what they do, call Freddy at Prince Air HVAC. Fast response, great communication, fair, knowledgeable, respectful of your home, and just a good guy to have on your side when things start making noises they shouldn't. Freddie came and check my AC, which did not blow cold air only a couple days. After 20 minutes looking the ac unit outside and my inside unit, he said the compressor connector melt out. There I need to replace the unit at cost 12,000. Two weeks later, I got another technician. He replaced the wire and connector to compressor. My AC worked again fine with cold air. This technician charged me $350. I don't recommend this place to any one. read more

This was a very good experience. Communication between us and the Price Air staff (Kimberly) was excellent. Our A/C system is a very old one, and someone recommended us Price Air. And they did not disappoint to say the least. Prices are fair, recommendations and system diagnostic are honest and on point. Today we had Alberto (Beto) come into our home to diagnose an A/C issue. He came on time, wore a mask and shoe covers. Very respectful and knowledgeable young man. He checked up our system, found the damaged part, went to buy it, and installed it. A/C works well now, and cools nicely. He did suggest a system maintenance check, and we will definitely take up that suggestion in the very near future. Thank you guys for everything!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE USING THIS COMPANY! This company is a big ripoff, unprofessional and dishonest. I had decided to contact this company based on all the 5-star reviews on Yelp and the fact that the serviceman named Freddy, was able to come out last minute at night. Big mistake! As soon as he started tampering with the outside ac unit, things went wrong. He touched some parts and a giant spark went off like an explosion and fluid squirted onto the wall. I later found out that he burned the capacitor. After 5 minutes of further tampering, he said that both the capacitor (charged at $425) and the kit start (charged at $345) were damaged for a total cost of $770! It was too expensive so I decided to just pay for the diagnostic fee of $89 and forgo the repair. He got bothered and gave me an attitude saying he didn't have change for a $100 bill. After I went to get change for him and walked him out, I looked at the ac unit and noticed that he had CUT SEVERAL WIRES that connect to the capacitor for no reason at all! On top of that, he didn't put things back, leaving screws and the outer cover on the floor. I ended up calling another company the next morning and the man could not believe the mess this guy left behind. Also, it turned out that the kit start worked fine and did not need to be replaced! This Freddy guy basically tried to rip me off by charging me for a kit start and sabotaging my wires to increase the cost! In the end, I was able to get the repair done with another company for only $180, and they were nice enough to repair the wires Freddy had damaged for free. I'm so disgusted at this company, trying to rip people off by charging them for items that don't need repair and damaging their parts on purpose. On top of that, their prices are beyond expensive. Do yourself a favor and go to an actual legitimate and professional business that is honest, trustworthy, and offers fair pricing. read more

I intially contacted Price Air for a quote on replacing our heating furnace and installing a new AC machine. Freddy did an excellent job explaining the process to me and provided me with all the necessary information. Because of his professionalism, I decided to hire his HVAC team and they did not disappoint! The job took two days to complete. Freddy, along with technicians Luis and Tomas, were very thorough, respectful, and courteous. They kept us apprised and answered all of our questions. I was impressed with their work ethics, as they made sure to lay out drop cloths on our floors and even covered their shoes with disposable booties to avoid stepping indoors with dirty shoes. Because wood particles, dust, and wall shavings were unavoidable, they took it upon themselves to sweep any mess left behind. They even disposed of all their trash instead of just leaving it behind. Upon completion, they tested out the system to ensure there was efficient airflow in each room. They then instructed us on how to use the new unit; it is unbelievably user-friendly, which is perfect for my senior parents. (We can even control temperature settings on our phones!) I completely remodeled my home and replaced the old AC system 7 years ago and was surprised when my AC broke down recently. The temperature outside was 93 degrees but our house was well insulated so it remained 85-87 indoors which was fine with us but rough for our pets. We contacted Price Air and they came out the same day to repair our system which was a huge relief. The repair was temporary as Freddy explained that our old contractor upgraded our condenser to a larger system but he did not upgrade our furnace which caused the condenser to overwork itself. Our old contractor also did not install enough vents so our air never cooled evenly throughout the house. For starters it sucks having your AC not working during this heat wave that we are having. I personally installed a new thermostat in hopes that it will do the trick, but my hope was shattered. I was giving Freddy's # by a friend who was recommended by his family who had great things to say. Freddy came out to my house earlier than expected which was a huge plus. Within 5 minutes he was able diagnos my AC and let me know that my blower went out. His service was above and beyond the call of duty, very easy to talk to, polite and ready to get my AC going for my family. Loved the AC work done by Freddy and crew from Price Air located in Anaheim. We also didn't have our heating working as well prior to Price Air showing up to install the new AC unit. A couple days after the installation, Freddy agreed to swing by my house to fix the bad connection that was done when the furnace was first installed several years before, free of charged. Wayne and Freddy are incredible! On a Saturday I had guests staying at my home and the Nest thermostat went blank. My guests said the AC wasn't working at all. We checked the breaker and tried resetting the NEST and nothing. We called Freddy and Wayne to the rescue. Wayne came out and discovered a short in our furnace that shut the whole system down. He repaired the short and insulated the AC unit. The price was very reasonable and the house was cool again within an hour. Wayne also reset the NEST so there were no connection issues. Our air condition was giving us problems for a couple of days during a heat wave and during the time my mother just passed away. Not only were we dealing with the passing of mom but the ac on top of that was hell. Right after I called Freddy left message contacted me right away! After 7 pm I was surprised and Happy. Freddy was very polite and willing Not to charge extra for s last minute call during a heat wave. He came after business hours and looked at our 20+ year old unit. Freddy said he could fix it, and it would work but he might be back sooner. Ok being in the mood I'm in, I'm thinking sales pitch. But Freddy showed us everything, including the water leaking from the condenser and the wires and I even knew this was not good, we opted for a new unit Freddy and crew came in the next day, On Time very professional and polite. Started working and Completed it as promised. One day, on time, working air, BTW in the house was 90 degrees, so Everyone was extremely hit and sweaty. No tempers, nothing but professional. We had 2 more quotes came after him and they quoted only $200s. They said it's just needed one small part and was shocked he quoted that pricy. I had called for a quote to get my air conditioner fixed. Some worker picked up the phone and was actually quite rude, didn't say hello and put me on hold for a long time. Then he hung up! I called again and he put me on hold for 10 minutes and finally answered and told me it would cost me around $90 for an inspection fee. After I just asked if he was able to waive or include that fee in the repairs, he gave me a really nasty attitude like scolding me on the phone. He could've just said nicely but instead he was lecturing me. That really turned me off. I ended up using another company. This company is not professional at all. Price repaired and replaced our A/C unit. The compressor was making a noise and was beginning to fail. Freddy from Price air came out and gave us a quote to replace compressor , after looking at the unit he recommend that we could replace the compressor or replace compressor and coil unit which was the best approach for repairing the unit. Come to fine out after selecting Price to perform the work, the unit completely fail the night before they were to replace the unit. His recommendation was timely and end up saving money in the long run. He showed up as scheduled and performed the work in a timely manner. He put tarps over the floor to protect it from damage.
