Great experience. Went to the Deli to buy chicken salad. Spoke to this wonderful guy who told me he would make it for me so please come back in 25 minutes. What great customer service and kindness . I did go back and the next great experience happened. Person behind counter was not the original one I spoke to but said were you the one for the chicken salad and he got it for me without having to wait. Love this store and the Deli ! The meat turns bad in one day if you don't freeze it . The self checkout is a joke! The only 1 good cashier is a woman named Debbie. She's older & wears glasses The rest of them have their faces buried in their cells,don't watch if your computer freezes up,act annoyed when u ask for help,I cash myself out,bag my own and get the hell out of there. 1. Often find the customer service desk unmanned. 2. Can never get all the items on my shopping list - always out of something. 3. I once asked a produce clerk about Brussels sprouts and all she replied was, "What am I supposed do about it?" 4. Bottle return room has to set hours. Had to wait a half an hour one day for it to open. When I asked the employee what the hours were he said, "It opens when I get here." 5. Displays blocking aisles. 6. Hmm. I see the post about the nasty bathroom, however I have never seen their restrooms like this, but that is probably because I have never used them. :-) That looked like an awful experience and I hope it was just a one time thing. Anyway. Mostly, I don't mind this store, but I recently got a vegetarian product that was grossly rotting, despite the fact that it was not expired, and not even close to expiration. Other than that and the usual ridiculous price gouging Chopper does, I have nothing else bad to say. Just another mediocre PC that doesn't carry half of what I need for my dairy intolerant lifestyle. Price Chopper is okay in some respects, but also has issues. The new rewards program is a puzzle. I've received a multitude of explanations from staff, but continue to have questions. Thinking the website would be helpful, I found out my old card number was rejected. (New numbers start with 42, mine is 40.) Customer service at the store assured me I could use my card to log in on line but would have to update my address. Since the card was in husband's name, I would have to add mine to it but this could not be done in the store since he would have to be present to give permission?? I called, all was updated by a nice lady who never asked to speak to husband?? I went on line and found I'm at square one!! Card number rejected since it does not start with 42. I'm seriously considering shopping at Aldi just down the road. No gimmicks, no rewards, no cards. read more

If I could select a rating, it would be minus 10! The aisles are always cluttered with displays making it impossible for shoppers to pass in two directions. There is always someone in the dairy section stocking, no matter what time of day or nite. It is impossible to navigate this store. Most of the cashiers are rude. I'm very selective about who I go to. There are 3 cashiers that I frequent regularly. The store needs to be completely decluttered in more than one way. Worst market ever!!! read more

If I could leave zero stars I would...I went and bought 156.68 worth of groceries at a self checkout and was charged 5 times! All different transactions at the same time at the exact same amount. When I called to tell them they said it's the banks fault...if I only got one receipt then I was only charged one time! I said I could show them my statement and they said I needed to show a hard copy from the bank!! the Bank said it was the store that did it and thinks their is a card skimmer at that particular register...so check your bank accounts people...don't let them rob you like they did me!! read more

The worst grocery store by far. There is a night manager that will remain nameless ,but dont let her know about a spill that could hurt a older person because she will get upset. Now after 10pm you have to pick out your stuff , ring them in, pay for them and they do nothing. I dont remember going to my orientation. Stay away. read more

It's pretty good most of the time, but I had one experience where a supervisor looking guy was very rude to me. He looked like Gustavo Frinn from breaking bad; not even kidding, and I was looking at some pizza, while he taunted me that I was up to something and that I was eyeing the beer at 7am. I politely responded no, I was looking at the pizza sir, he then walked menacingly behind me for a ways, until I noticed he was right over my shoulder then he awkwardly darted away. It was one of the most bizarre things I have ever seen. I hope this guy whatever his name is is given a warning not to do this type of thing to customers just trying to do their shopping. Back when this Price Chopper first opened, it was really good. Since then, it's certainly lost its luster. My main complaints about this place are pretty simple: 1. Selection and variety suck. This is a typical problem for Price Chopper and is not exclusive to this particular location. 2. Restocking can pretty much fail. This couples with the poor selection point. One thing that can be interesting is the ice cream section. It seems as though when they restock the freezers, they restock from the front in that they push the unsold stuff that's already in the freezer to the back. As a result, you wind up with cartons of ice cream that appear to have been in the freezer for so long that they've frozen over. I'm not talking about a little frost either. I'm talking about a freaking block of ice complete with real live penguins and Eskimos all hanging out on them. I wouldn't be surprised if you found a carton in here with a "Use By" date of September 1996. 3. It looks like someone completely beats the shit out of the products that they stock. Do they have a really angry stocking crew, or is it just that nobody cares? I've seen plenty of absolutely mangled and battered boxes on the shelves, in some cases damaged so badly that the food inside the box is exposed. Apparently Price Chopper's standards say it's acceptable to stock like that, but I can't say that I'm a fan. 4. It's not really dirty per se, but it has a weird feel to it. Like you'd want to give it a good cleaning anyway, just to play it safe. In general, I'm really not a Price Chopper guy. I prefer Hannaford, but this place sometimes works out to be more convenient when I'm in a hurry, assuming that they have what I'm looking for. read more

Quick and easy for anyone who lives near without having to drive into Malta, Clifton Park, or Saratoga but is limited with supplies. If you just need to grab a few items it's worth stopping but if you want to do solid grocery shopping you are better off at Malta, Clifton Park, or Saratoga. read more

I would give this store zero starts if I could. Absolutely filthy store it's no concern for customers at all. See the pictures I've posted of the restroom tonight, Sunday October 11 at 6:10 PM. The store management there does not care at all about customer service. I have had several complaints about this store in the past and spoken to the manager. Price Chopper - Table & chair set for sale summer '10 - Grocery Near Me - Mechanicville, New York

I called this price chopper and spoke with Ashten, the floral manager, to arrange a floral thanksgiving display for my home. She was very eager to assist me with all questions I had, she took her time explaining the specific flowers she has for the season and went into great detail about the different vases and arrangements she was able to do. I was able to imagine these beautiful displays while she was describing them with such detail she was giving, you could tell that she loves her job. She was very pleasant to speak with and do business with. I look forward to ordering my displays and will do business with Ashten again. Keep up the positive attitude! read more

Not one of the better Price Choppers around. I'm not a huge PC shopper anyhow as I find their prices are on the higher side versus other local competitors but some of the stores do have unique products which will draw me to the nicer ones on occasion. The gas saving program when you put the pad to the pencil and actually do the math, it's an extremely small savings versus overpaying for the groceries. read more

I went there the other day and brought my own bag. I told the cashier that I had my own bag and she said well you'll have to pack then to fit it all in there. I said okay it's not hard and she said well I don't want to be responsible 4 squishing your chips. Okay, so we put the chips on top. I figured that out when I was a cashier at the age of 16. The thing is I don't mind bagging my own groceries but I don't like being told by the cashier that I have to do her job. If I am bagging my groceries I am helping her. Rant over. read more
