I had a hard time finding certain things that I like to have on hand such as vegan marshmallows. I do not want to eat regular marshmallows since they contain gelatin which is made from animal hides, boiled crushed bones, and the connective tissues of cows and pigs. I find this process absolutely repulsive and stopped eating gelatin long before I chose a vegan lifestyle. When I began my search for better options, I stumbled upon this unique spot in Clifton Park. Green grocer always has Dandies marshmallows and also Enjoy Life vegan rice milk chocolate bars. I get these to make s'mores. I can always count on this great store to have many wonderful specialty options for people with special dietary needs and for people choosing to eat different diets or are concerned with the ethics of the factory farming industry. They do have meat and dairy options from carefully selected farms. I don't know a lot about it since I don't eat it but I would imagine these are better options than conventional grocery store meat. I'd encourage anyone to check out this great store. It's not far from exit 8A in Clifton park, south of Walmart in the same plaza as Nonna Maria's. It is wonderful to support local small business while also discovering things that you won't find at conventional grocery stores.

I am pleased with these purchases. However, I also came for organic berries. Every pack of strawberries and raspberries had mold on a few berries. If there is mold on even one berry in the package, all the berries are suspect. It is unfortunate that there is not enough help to monitor the produce area. Parking at this store is very good. The one cashier was working nonstop.

The stocker's rude response without looking at me was "no its not hot chocolate season." I walked away and went to the self-checkout. I used the chip card reader for my debit card and received an error. Before I could even try the chip card reader again another stocker from ~ 10 feet away rudely said "SWIPE THE CARD." This is store has a history of rude employees. I experienced rudeness from their employees in years past and took a very long break from shopping at the Clifton Park store. I gave the store another chance and guess what the same type of behavior from their employees. Rude and unprofessional.

I felt the food here was fresh and I stopped there everyday so I got all the ingredients fresh. However as time passed and I stopped doing the grocery shopping and in between things changed and my choice was all over the place. It was courtesy of Hannaford that I found out that all the fresh fruits and vegetables are coated with wax. That is when I made sure that I either wash my fruits really well or peel the skin before i eat them. Compared to other supermarkets the isles are spaced better. They have the rewards program so feel free to sign up if you shop there often.
