Hell no! Worst piano technician I have ever dealt with in 50 years of piano tuning, moving, and repair. Showed up late. Talked too much, including a lot of bragging about his "skills". Performed work (and over charged for it) that didn't need to be done. Was going to come back for continued repairs that would have likely not helped the piano. I paid Tim Price $640 on 7/4/2018 for moving a piano/tuning/4 coaster cups ($35 each). The piano was moved, but he never shows up for tuning. I have never received the over-priced coaster cups. I told him I would not want to purchase the coaster cups from him. He promised to refund $140, but that has never happened. I sent him a polite text to him in August, 2018 about the tuning and refund of the coaster cup money. He responded with a very rude and incoherent text. After that I attempted to contact him via text messages and phone calls many time. However, his voice mail box was full, and he did not responded to my text messages. In September he suddenly responded to my text messaging saying that he was in an accident and was in hospital. I wished him well, and waited till the end of October to contact him again, but have received no response from him. I could see that he read my text messages, but he did not respond. I filed complaint via BBB, but BBB informed me that he is not in business. I have checked many online sources, and found out he has changed his address. In fact, he has three different addresses. One is in Lexington, and he is still in business. I do not recommend this business. Mr. Price is not an honest man. He claims he is a Christian, but he is a fake. He does not observe the Lord's words. He is untrustworthy. read more

Tim was fast and courteous. He arrived on time and was very careful moving the piano into our basement. After it was in place he played a few keystrokes. He advised how we should move the piano to clean behind it so that we don't snap any of the legs with it's weight. He even offered his services for tuning when we need it. Would not recommend. Called and asked about piano moving and tuning. Told him the location of where the piano was and where we needed it to go. I was picking it up from a lady who was moving and she stayed behind so that the piano could be moved the next day. I was told the day before that he would be there at 10:00 am. On my way I receive a call that he is running 20 minutes behind. Not an issue I call the lady and let her know. 10:30 rolls around and he is still not there. I call and am told another 20 minutes because he has had a job run over. Ok fine, at about 10:55 I call yet again and he tells me another 20 minutes. At this point I am upset and tell him to forget about it I will find someone else. The lady stayed behind and was needing to leave. I start calling around and he sends me a mass of texts and calls telling me he's 3 minutes away. I again tell him no, that this is unprofessional and embarrassing. He shows up anyways at about 11:20ish. He apologizes and asked for me to give him a chance. Well that was a mistake because I do. He moves the piano all goes pretty well on that part while at my mother in laws house he asked about tuning it. I wasn't keen on hiring him but my MIL agreed to pay the additional $75 that day for him to tune it. She asks him what day would be good he tells her the next Thursday. Guess what he calls that week and tells her he has a doctors appointment he would call her Monday. That was almost a week ago. I had to call him yesterday and leave a voicemail. This man is unprofessional. The tuning was suppose to be done almost 2 weeks ago and he never contacted my MIL or me. He leaves me a voicemail saying he had a death in his family. I told him his stories have changed and all he needed to do was call but he didn't. Do not recommend, go with someone who can keep their appointment times and act professionally. I paid this man before he ever came out to my house, per his request. $300 to take down my piano while our floors got redone. He never showed up the first day he was supposed to, the next day I called him and he said he would come at 12. Then he never showed up. I call him again he told me he was in the hospital and that he could be out within an hour. This time he showed and it only took 20 minutes for him to get the piano down. I told him I would call him once I ordered my rug for him to come back and set it back up. The past week I've tried to contact him his phone has been off and voicemail box is full. Terrible service, my piano is torn apart sitting in a room in my house and I have no way of reaching him or even getting my money back. Will be reporting to BBB. read more

Moved two pianos for us and did okay with that but Did not show up to scheduled tuning appointments for both my mother and I, once he was paid in advance. Did a terrible job tuning my piano. Was asked to come back and fix 8 notes but quit communicating the day before he was supposed to come back. Texted us a week later saying he forgot and to set another time. We tried but just ended up getting into a texting argument. Now, I just don't want him in my house. Claims to be a Christian but certainly does conduct business like one. Horrible!! Hired Mr Price to move and store my piano. That went ok. I September I called to have it brought back because we had moved into our new home. Scheduled delivery for mid October and he never showed. Called back and his voicemail was full. Finally got in touch with Garrard County Sheriff and discovered Mr Price had been in jail and is currently in court ordered rehab. Last week I received a call from his brother who is a Pastor- they are delivering my piano today. Also found out that Mr Price lied to me about storing piano in climate controlled storage. It was in regular storage and not wrapped. Looks like Mr Price is going to have even more legal trouble when he gets out!! read more

Do not hire Tim Price. He is extremely unprofessional. I bought a piano on Craigslist and hired him to move it in Jaunary He was VERY late, but did successfully move the piano. I figured fine, everyone has a bad day, and foolishly hired him again to move and tune my piano when we moved houses in May. When I called him back to confirm the appointment he acted like he had no idea who I was or that he was supposed to come. He did move the piano, but said we should wait a few weeks to tune it. But when I kept calling him to schedule the tuning appointment--which I had already paid for--he was hard to get ahold of, never remembered my name, and kept putting me off. I finally got him to schedule an appointment for two days ago, and he pulled a no-show. I called and texted him repeatedly for the next day and he dodged my calls. I could see that he had read my texts but he didn't answer. Finally I got smart and called him on my daughter's phone and of course he picked up. He said he had been sick, but I told him if he was well enough to read my texts he was well enough to answer them. He said he'd be here today at noon. I called at 12:30 to see where he was and he hadn't even left his house yet! If I hadn't already paid I called him once while he was in transit and he didn't even have my address written down. He showed up to my house acting spacey or drunk. I told him to leave. read more

They had done a great job getting the piano moved into our home, even with some steps to overcome. Tuning is scheduled later this month and I expect the same type of professionalism from them. Tim and his crew moved an upright spinet from Lexington to Columbus Ohio and performed some minor repair work to one of the legs and the sustain pedal. They were very professional and did a great job. The piano sounds great and the repairs look like they will last. We hired Price Piano Company to move and tune an upright piano for us. It was a simple move across town. In fairness, Tim did a great job tuning the piano several weeks after the move. It sounds great. However, he was incredibly unprofessional. He arrived thirty minutes late without calling and was completely unprepared. He did not have all of the equipment needed for the move, nor did he have sufficient crew to do the job. Both I and the gentleman I bought the piano from were needed to get the piano into the van. He did not have directions to either the pick up location or the drop off location, despite having been sent both several times. He required several reminders about coming back for the tuning, and called to cancel once after he was supposed to have arrived. He needed my wife to email him reminders before he arrived for the next scheduled appointment. Finally, he removed a feature of the piano without re-installing it correctly. read more
