Hell yes I'll take a Durango! Turns out, this particular unit was two months old, well optioned and just what we needed. The staff at the counter was extremely friendly and efficient, answered all questions completely (including ones I didn't have to ask) and made sure I'll look to national forst next time and maybe put a Durango in my garage. This easily became one of the best parts of our trip.

They had a great deal for a recent trip, and considering it was so short, I figured I had nothing to lose. The staff at pickup and return were very friendly. I was given an inspection sheet and told that if there were no issues, I was welcome to head out, but if there was something, to mark it and return in. My car was clean and everything looked good, so I was off in my Hyundai Elantra (nice, clean, and fancy). I forgot a car charger, so i enjoyed that it had a USB input and Apple Carplay was a nice feature to have. I didn't notice until day 2 that there was a stain on the back seat (coffee?). I'd settle it when I dropped it off. I dropped off my car, about 15 minutes after the "due time" (had to get gas), parked it, and checked out. Informed the woman at the counter about the stain, she said "no problem." I also inquired about a toll I got stuck with. I had declined the Advantage Toll Pass (whatever it's called), and I (like an idiot) forgot that 417 was a toll road. Of course, Florida has ZERO manned toll booths, and I don't carry around rolls of quarters. There's no option for CC payments, so I had no choice but to go through it. I had my Epass transponder, but I don't think it will work and I didn't register my plate beforehand. The woman said I will get charged the $1 plus a $25 admin fee. OUCH! Regardless, that's not Advantage's fault. It's my fault for either/or declining the pass, forgetting to set up my Epass, or forgetting to carry quarters. Either way, I had a good experience with Advantage and would rent with them again. I'll take the backroads next time. Will update if I get burned on this toll thing, but I doubt I will.

This is the worst rental car experience of my life and I have rented several in my life…read more I show up to the Miami Rental Car Center in Miami and despite renting with a credit card, because I am a Miami resident, they request our light bill, which is already ridiculous as is - any rental car only requires a credit card and license. Then after we go through motions to get them the light bill because the reservation was under my name as opposed to the person whom the light bill was under, we had to add him as an additional driver ($14/day). Then they have the audacity to state that because we are locals, that the unlimited miles on Expedia did not apply so it would $20/day to have this unlimited mile service. Total rip off. Go to Hertz, Enterprise, or any major rental car company and save yourself the hassle. By the way ended up going to Hertz, got a car no problem but was billed a no-show fee from Advantage despite never renting the car. They suck, point blank.

Roadside assistance only installed a temporary spare ("donut") and Alamo refused to replace the vehicle locally, refused a tire replacement even at our expense, and offered no towing or safe alternative. We were forced to drive from Port St. Lucie back to Orlando under severe restrictions (low speed, frequent stops), turning a normal trip into an unsafe journey of approximately 8 hours with children in the car. What followed was equally concerning: the company minimized the incident, provided inconsistent explanations, and later submitted responses containing incorrect dates, a different vehicle, and documentation unrelated to our rental. This was not a customer service issue, but a serious safety failure followed by poor handling. Families deserve better.

I used a credit card for the deposit, booked the car via the Budget website, and took videos and pictures of the car before and after the return. My car was a 2025 Kia K4, a vehicle I had never heard of before, but loved it enough to consider buying one later on if I ever need a vehicle. The staff was to the point, very efficient, vehicle was clean, I drove almost 1000 miles on it, and was glad to not have any surprise charges on it upon returning it (via Key drop off as they weren't open when I was returning the vehicle). I also brought my own EZpass so I didn't have to use theirs, though I used Google Maps with the avoid tolls setting so I didn't have to pay any tolls. I don't know if I just got lucky but Im thankful if I did. Either way, take pictures, keep receipts, and preplanning may help minimize any heartburn mentioned in the other reviews on here.

Anna at the counter printed everything, handed me the documents--then gave the car to the people who checked in behind me. I watched her hand them the keys to the car I was supposed to get. When I questioned it, she tried to convince me a completely different gas-powered car (when my reservation wasn't) was somehow better, and refused to offer any upgrade, discount, or solution. We came here today to get a rental car for my sister. We…read morepulled up and we're greeted right away. Staff was friendly. They gave my sister a somewhat beat up Chevy Equinox. It smelled so bad of cigarette smoke and he said yeah we just cleaned it but it still smells. We looked at the gas tank and it only had a half a tank of gas we said what's up with that and he said oh yeah no worries just bring it back with a half a tank and I said is that going to cause a problem and he said no. But that's kind of strange. My sister drove the car for about an hour and decided it stunk so bad she had to return it back to the Sanford location to get a different car. They said no problem and gave her a GMC SUV. This one did come with a full tank of gas so that was good. So I guess the moral of the story is if the car stinks like cigarette smoke ask for another one right away. Okay go enjoy the Florida sunshine!
