Dr Bashti to the rescue Had a cavity that I put off fixing and one day it became very painful. I hadn't been feeling very good the previous week and it turned out my tooth had become badly infected. I texted for help on Thursday evening and I was seen at 8:45am the next morning and made it to work on time. I was given antibiotics and was told it needed to be worked on asap and scheduled me for Monday. I was not looking forward to a weekend of pain but Monday was better than any other office could or would have scheduled me. Saturday morning Dr Bashti calls me and says he thinks I should come in right then and take care of it. Less than 2 hours later he has my infected tooth pulled the tooth next to it repaired and taken care of. It's been a week since the work was done and my jaw was hardly sore the last week and I'll be chewing away good as new very soon. I've seen this dentist a handful of times over the last 7 years and can't recommend him enough. This was the first time I saw other patients in the office and it was clear that they also were very pleased with their treatment and grateful to him for his care. I am a wimp when it comes to mouth pain and other than the initial novocaine shot it was painless. I didn't even have time to worry he did the work so quick. While I wish I never had to see another dentist again, I know that I will definitely have to many more times in my life and I feel like I'm in good hands as long as Priceless Dental is still around. read more

Discussed the price before the service, and then after claim come back I ended up paying almost double the estimate. He could have done a lot better with the estimate otherwise I would not agree to the service. Though claim amount can be difference, but not almost 50% difference, at the end of the day I just feel like I am lied to. Service the first time was good, second time just feel rushed and painful. I commented on how the second deep cleaning was much more painful and he just smirked it off. My husband had to have his teeth removed, he bled heavily, and after 2 months we went to our dental provider because husband was still in pain..the dentist at this establishment left tooth fragments in multiple sockets. An amazing dentist with a calm knowledgeable presence. I highly recommend Dr. Bashti - so far he's done two 'major' fixes for me and both experiences have been very positive - even though I'm not a regular customer. He redid a failing filling (ouch) and gave me a crown when I broke a tooth (also ouch) a few years apart. He was able to pull up the info from my first visit immediately with a few years gap on the phone - he's well organized. He seems to genuinely care about not causing unnecessary pain/discomfort and he explains everything he's doing as he's doing it - he's also very open to answering questions if you have them. I personally don't have dental insurance and as best I can tell his prices for major dental work are very reasonable when looking online or talking to friends/family. Replaced a crown but left it touching my other crown and said I'd have to "floss really well." Which ended up breaking both crowns and now I might have to lose both teeth. He also said he overcharged me and he'd refund me but I had to call multiple times for the refund and my crowns had already broken off by the time he begrudgingly released the refund. He said he could do it back to the card automatically, wasn't my choice, he failed to do it. I had to make an emergency appointment to address issues arising from a cracked tooth, and Dr. Bashti was an absolute life saver. Not only was he willing to work on a Sunday to address the emergency, he was careful, methodical, informative, and willing to take as long as necessary to do the job RIGHT. I had previously been seen by another dental facility that had botched the initial steps necessary for placement of a crown. Dr. Bashti took the time to fix their shoddy work, and explained what I ACTUALLY needed in order to maintain good oral health and dental hygiene. I have been really screwed by dentists before. I don't really mind getting dental work done and have no fear, like some people do. My main gripes of past dentists is shoddy work or not billing me correctly for my insurance plan. After having some shoddy work done for cheap in Sacramento, I decided to pony up to Santa Rosa prices to save myself the drive and aggravation. I found Dr. Bashti on my favorite review site YELP! I had a crown fall off after only 6 months. Dr. Bashti got me in quickly to try to fix it. He explained that the tooth was prepped poorly and with me grinding my teeth it would inevitably fail. He did his best to fix it and was great to talk to as he worked. His price was very reasonable and made me regret even more driving to Sac for dental work for 4 years. A couple of weeks later the crown came off again. I am leaving for Hawaii tomorrow, but he got me in the same day so I didn't have to travel missing the crown. He didn't charge me this time at all even though it was not his fault. That was a class act. I will be going back to discuss how to permanently fix my tooth, a cleaning, and my entire family will be going for their dental work now. read more

I have anxiety about dentists so I've avoided them often throughout my life... which has complicated my mouth quite a bit. I had free dental for some years through an ex boyfriends father, and after the break up I didn't go to a dentist for years. When I went in at long last I was quoted $10k to refill all my fillings (I grind my teeth and had created "leaks" in where the enamel flexed but the filling did not, and this allowed micro cavities to form along the filling inside the tooth) and replace crowns and... ouch. So I researched heavily, after a doctor friend recommended going to Costa Rica (which was far and high airfare), and instead I found a dental office in Mexico. Rosarito to be exact. My friends had gone to it with rave reviews, so I decided to as well. The spot seemed great. Five days of one hour per day, and in the end, all was fixed for $1500. Total. That included 2 sets of xrays, a teeth cleaning, 6 fillings, three crowns, and a nightguard. Plus a free apartment to stay in above their office for the week. It felt great. Unbelievable. Until... a year later... when a filling began pulling away from the enamel creating a gap. So I researched local dentists because honestly, traveling far was hard, and having someone nearby just seemed right to have proper follow ups. When I came in and Dr Bashti did xrays... it was easy to see that much of the work done abroad was failing, or never right to begin with. Now amid fixing it all. I've been to plenty of dentists in my life. I switched dentists and wanted to try Dr. Bashti. My previous dentist wanted me to follow a treatment plan that was rigid even though I had immediate needs. Dr. Bashti saw that one of my teeth was severely in need of a crown. I'm not the easiest patient as I require more numbing medication and time than most people. He was patient and made sure I was numb so I did not feel the procedure. He did a wonderful job in saving the tooth and the crown is perfect! He also did 2 fillings while I was numb. He is very skilled and works fast. My fiancé had/has a toothache for over a week. He went to his "other" long-term dentist last week, who did X-rays, and gave him a referral to another dentist in 10-14 days. That was it!!! The next day, my fiancé was in so much pain, (it was NYE), we called around, and found this place. Even though Dr. Bashti had just closed the office for the holiday, he spoke with me on the phone for a good 5 minutes, advising us as to how to treat the pain, until my fiancé could go in and see him, or another dentist. That same day, the pain was too unbearable... my fiancé went to the ER for a script of Motrin. Two days later, at last minute... my fiancé called this office, and Dr. Bashti was available to see him within 2 hours! First of all, I was incredibly impressed with the sincerity of this dentist. For him to answer my call on NYE, and give us some good solid advice, and plan of care was awesome! Secondly- my fiancé just returned from his appointment, and he walked in with a smile on his face, saying, "He was super cool" (referring to Dr. Bashti). They did some X-ray, he gave my fiancé a price plan, an image of what/where his problem areas are, and a follow up for later this week! (And he ground the tooth down, which caused a great deal of relief for my fiancé! Not only that, but my fiancé was able to EAT without intense pain! Being in the medical field myself, I totally understand the importance of a good bedside manner. When you have a good bedside manner, it allows your patient to feel comfortable with the treatment plan, and confident they're in good hands. I knew I was in good hands at Priceless Dental Group within the first two minutes of arriving at the office. I was sitting in the waiting room, and the patient before me, heading out the door, waved goodbye to Dr Bashti and said: "Thank you. God bless you." A Yelp page full of 5-Star reviews is one thing -(did you notice they're all 5-star ratings?)- but a heartfelt blessing from a patient is the highest praise of all. Dr Bashti is a consumate professional in every regard -- as good as any dentist gets -- and yet, sitting in the chair you get the impression you're in the care of not just an excellent dentist but a master. He is passionate about saving teeth if they can be saved, and in my case was equally passionate about finding a way to forego a root canal when, once inside the tooth and able to make a proper diagnosis, he found it wouldn't be necessary. I don't have insurance, so I was doubly pleased to save the money. "That doesn't make me a very good businessman," Dr Bashti joked later. "No," I replied, quite seriously. "That makes you an EXCELLENT businessman!" He's a rather shy fellow at first -- a refreshing change from the artificial bonhomie I'm used to with other places -- but when he gets to know you a bit he opens up, and you discover he has a delightfully impish sense of humor. His prices are exceedingly reasonable, and you can discern a subtle, but authentic glow of pride in his words when Dr Bashti explains how he can easily do the kind of dental work most people inaccurately think is the express domain of the oral surgeon, and that where lesser dentists lazily opt for the extraction/implant route these days, he derives great satisfaction in going the extra mile to save a tooth. Also, Dr Bashti only sees one patient at a time and has office hours on weekends: two pleasing, unexpected bonuses. As for my own experience at Priceless Dental Group, wherein over a period of time I had three root canals done (oops! I mean two -- Dr Bashti was able to bail out one of those teeth!), a couple deep cavities filled and a wisdom tooth extraction... all this due to a life-long Skittles and Coke addiction (Coke, as in Coca Cola, in case you're wondering)...none of these procedures resulted in much discomfort afterwards.
