This is my go-to store for some products including chicken, whereas I buy the rest of my produce mostly from Aldis. They also have a variety of European and Caribbean food. I love that this store is never a zoo, unlike Wegmans, though it's not all glamour and glitter either, but a decent store. Prices are good. Staff is friendly and helpful. Parking is good and it is not usually busy.

For some reason all Price rite are not the same. This one on Maple was very clean. I love that thet have a large selection of halal items, as well as seafood and African foods. The produce was not the best. Price rite definitely not the cheapest options anymore but if looking for items normally not found at the big grocery stores they hit the mark. And Jimmy Dean bacon every day price is 3.99, which i literally just paid 9.99 at Tops for it. read more

PriceRite is not the place I would normally shop but decided to stop in to check out a couple of their sales. I noticed a few items that I do t normally see at my local Wegmans or Topps. The location of this store, very close to the UB campus, could have something to do with that. I like that they supply items for their local customers. Prices seemed to be in the normal range for the area. My complaint about this store would be in the checkout area. The self check outs were filthy! The area where you'd place your items after ringing them up was actually disgusting. We didn't want to even place our food there. This Pricerite is the one I visit the least of the three that I tend to visit. It's in the little plaza whit the movie theaters near UB North. It's a great location and it has easy great parking. The store is large and it's well laid out. The vegetable section is all very widely spaced. The check out here can sometimes get a little slow. But other than that this is a great store and if it was closer to me I'd come here more often. Update 54 2021 read more

For about two months of my life, I made a habit of popping into the Price Rite in Kenmore, and for about two months of my life, I hated it. Sure, there were some good prices, but the place at the time was pretty grungy, and so were the people. This is the more attractive sister store. I decided to give the company a second shot, all in the name of frozen french fries. They ran a deal too good to pass up, and actually bothered to have them in stock, which is more than I can say about other companies that run weekly sales. Their ads come out on Friday, and usually I can find a few good deals to start the weekend off on the right foot. Despite their name being spelled like a religious act, I wouldn't say this place gives me a holy experience. Some things are still priced higher than other stores along the street, and to leave you have to go past the registers, even if you are empty handed. Having forgotten to grab a paper ad for a coupon, I've fallen victim of doing the full loop. I later learned you can clip coupons on their website if you sign up, and suggest this, because if you want to get the 'rite' price, then you might as well go full ham. I've only ever used the self checkouts at this location. They're relatively easy to follow along with and left us with enough room to set all our groceries down before reloading the cart, because I was not going for a second loop to get our bags out of the car. Bring them in, as you know you're going to pick up more than you came for. And if that doesn't convince you, they share a parking lot with a movie theater, so you can lie to your mate and say that yes, it did take 3 hours to go shopping without them knowing that you went without them. read more

You don't have the Rite to have everything at whatever Price you want it at. But if you want it cheap, and came here, you may have made the Rite choice. It's pretty awesome that the UB area now has a really cool discount grocery store to go with the overpriced Tops, and the overpriced Wegmans. This is even closer to the campus. I probably like it more than Aldi, the other discount grocery store in this part of town. It's definitely a cool store and the price is definitely right! read more

This is the worst Price Rite I have been to. 80% of their produce is super soft/ starting to rot. Occasionally you'll find a good deal on something not overripe (I got dragonfruit there last summer very cheap and it wasn't bad), but as a normal grocery shopping rotation I would not recommend. Some of the staff I have encountered haven't been the most helpful either. I would recommend going to the one in Buffalo on Elmwood over this one. read more

This location maybe the biggest Price-Rite in the area. They always have, good reasonable prices. The produce is about 50/50 depending on what you are looking for. What I mean by that is this. You maybe looking for fruit, and the selection they have is incredible. But then you reach over to get the lettuce or any other vegetables. You can't help but noticed how wilted or sad looking they look. During this covid pandemic, there is a two pack limit on meat. Also they have available face mask (10pack) for sale. read more

In these troubling times, many things have changed. Hopefully this will all go away but we must remain vigilant. As a supermarket, I've never had a problem with this store. Sure, it's considered a "B" store and lacks all the bells and whistles you can find in the fancier stores. However, it's always been reasonably priced and it's staple products are equally matched. Conveniently located, I'll stop her for canned goods and the off brand beverages. Trying to avoid the nightmare that shopping has become, I stopped yesterday. I was pleased with only a dozen cars in the lot. I put on my gloves and went in. It's pretty much exactly as it always has been. No wipes for the carts, no hand sanitizer. There are signs reminding of social distancing but no other precautions. With only a handful of shoppers I was comfortable with my gloves. The cashier wore gloves and once home I wiped my items. I'm not really grumbling but I'm sure they will need to step up their precautionary measures to stay viable. read more

This Price Rite location is by far the cleaniest, for a no frill grocery store. During COVID 19, I recently started to prefer shopping here over Aldis. Lately I'm an earlier grocery shopper, produce is fresh, reasonable prices,have items I need, even sell there brand of disinfectant wipes and lysol wipes that are hard to find it may be a no frill store with not a lot of name brands, but staff are helpful, polite, and fellow shoppers follow 6ft distance and are respectful of others shopping and no issues with masks. Great job making my shopping experience stress free, and thank you to all the staff. read more

A PriceRite ad started appearing on my Facebook feed and it made me curious enough to check out this newer location on Maple. I had been to the location on Walden and was disappointed with the cleanliness and selection of goods and produce, but the reviews for Maple were very good. This PriceRite is located in the Maple/Sweet Home plaza where the AMC Maple movie theater is. It's bright, clean, modern although the blue signage reminded me of an article that said that blue was the least appetizing of colors (red and green are the most appetizing - see Top's, Whole Foods, Trader Joes, and Wegman's logos). I went on a weekday night around 8pm and the place was empty. To my pleasant surprise, this location was very clean, well stocked with major food brands (not like Aldi's, Whole Foods, or Trader Joes), and the store even had staff walking around to assist. I picked up a couple items and checked out where a friendly cashier explained their bag policy (bring your own or buy for 10 cents). She was very happy about the prices and quality of her store. This PriceRite is a nice option to the grocery choices we have in the area. I didn't see a huge price difference except for the sale items, but a more thorough shopper should compare their standard basket in each store. The layout of the store is very familiar - not like an Aldi's or Whole Food's - and I did like seeing familiar brands. The frozen meat section was huge - with very good prices on chicken. And there was a good section of produce with some exotic greens which might be catering to the university's international students. read more

You dont need a quarter for your cart.. I've always passed by this location, but never went inside due to it either being closed or not having enough time to just look around. I'll definitely compare it to a Save A Lot meets Aldi situation. Prices seem fair, some items were hit or miss. I couldn't help but notice their produce section, everything looked fresh and clean. The prepackaged veggies were in good condition. Like with any other store like this, you pay for your bags, I believe they were $.11 cents each or you bring your own. Cashier was friendly, quick and didn't mind answering a few of my questions. All in all great location. Bargoon shopping is one of my joys in life. When I can find a good coupon or sale I get a rush... Like the rush I got when I saw Price Rite's ad in the Sunday paper. When I saw this store opening I was non plussed. Another place to food shop, meh. Especially since Aldi & I are best friends already. But that ad... the prices! I knew I had to go in. True, shopping carts are free of charge. Pick one up outside of the front doors. You enter the produce area, and it's nice & clean. I saw some good looking items, standard grocery store produce, in addition to some really unique selections too. Thai eggplant, lemongrass, daikon radish, etc... all for very inexpensive prices! I bought a clamshell of baby kale to use in soup I was making. It had a low end competitive price. Good stuff, would have been at least $1 more in Wegmans. Then I progressed to the meat section. Again, unique selections in addition to standards. Ox tails, chicken feet, tripe, but also ground beef, beautiful and inexpensive pork tenderloins, chicken, etc. Good frozen seafood choices as well, some fresh. The dairy section isn't huge. A few good yogurt choices, coffee creamer, eggs, milk, refrigerated juices (many selections of juices). There were spices galore for super awesome prices. Again, smatterings of unique items abound here. If you want really good deals, stick to the fresh items, and staples like spices, pasta, rice. Name brand items will probably be more expensive or at least equal to other stores' prices. PriceRite is definitely worth a stop, to scope out the unique items, and to get great sales on meat, etc. Especially if you were born with a coupon book in your hand, like I was. LOL! read more

I visited this grocery store last week. I did not know that this was a new store on Maple Avenue in Amherst. I was only family with the one on elmwood Avenue in Buffalo. This store is excellent in terms of pricing and food quality. I purchased a couple of steaks, chicken quarters, pork loins , fruits bread and vegetables. I just had their steak today and it was so tender and only need a pinch of pepper. They should advertise this store on the TV and radio because it's so new and most people don't know about it. It beats Tops, Wegmans, Whole foods and Dashes in Buffalo in terms of price and food quality. read more
