Thank you Prickett's for being a part of our annual Thanksgiving / Christmas tradition! Our Moms visit for Thanksgiving, and we buy and decorate our Christmas tree with them. Prickett's offers a lot full of beautiful and fragrant freshly-cut trees including Douglas, Fraser, Noble, and Nordmann in a variety of sizes. I think we got a Douglas Fir this year - it was the most perfect full shape, the prettiest shade of green, and the best smelling! Thanks to the team for re-educating us each year on the different types of trees. While they wrapped the tree, we explored the other holiday goodies (garland, wreaths, ornaments, and more!). And I can't leave Prickett's without a look through their indoor house plants - joy! read more

I must admit, I was drawn into the parking lot by the dynamic dinosaur statue at the entrance! I didn't walk through the nursery but could see several displays of flowers from a distance. The majestic T-Rex Roaring at the main entrance really grabbed my full attention! Next visit, I will do a more thorough review of the nursery. Definitely worth a walk through to see other custom made lawn outdoor art and the beautiful landscape materials, flowers & lawn materials. Way Far Out California Cool! read more

Well..didn't want to add a bad review..BUT ..I just went into Pricketts to talk about a persimmon tree i purchased in the fall..it's now spring and trees are leaving out..out of the 5 trees i purchased 4 look great..we took care in planting all properly..1 in question has 1 small branch clinging to life,rest are dead...went in and discussed what could be worked out with this tree..an owner there told me that tree had a 90 day warranty...well dormant trees take longer to show leaves than 90 days...trees were purchased in fall at 30% discount..fall getting rid of inventory time..I was told I could BUY another tree and he would give me a 30% discount on this 1..well that is just not a good way to do business...buyer beware!!.. read more

Very healthy plants and many hard to find varieties. Staff is knowledgable and extremely helpful. They will also pull plants to hold if you call for something special. Very pretty, well maintained. Has different plants than their other location. Right off highway and really close to downtown Healdsburg. Prices are a little higher but you're "getting what you pay for":). If you are a Senior they offer a discount if you ask. read more

This is an awesome nursery. I used to go to their store on Calistoga Road and I like this area much better. Turned out I had to come here a few weeks ago to get some yellow roses (which are not easy to find) and was amazed at all the differing plants that are here. The usual suspects and then the beautiful not so usual plants. There's also fun knick knacks for the adventuresome. I am taking a friend here tomorrow for their birthday to pick out something for their garden, always a fun birthday gift. Will be a grand day! read more

A close friend of mine whom passed away a few days ago, but I was out of town when he passed, and I missed his memorial service , I was looking for some Forget me Nots flowers to take to his daughters so they can plant them in his garden that he loved so much , but the few places I looked for them I couldn't find them , a friend of mine told me about Prickett's and to try maybe they had some, I did, and they did have them, the price was reasonable at a value I couldn't say no to, the cashier on top of being very friendly, she even wrapped it with a pretty bow, his family was very great full and I was very satisfied definitely am returning read more

We love this nursery. Locally owned, its our go to source for veggies, flowers, hydrangeas, colorful planting pots, and plant food. Their staff is super friendly, helpful, and most importantly knowledgeable and eager to share information for best growing practices. Customer service and plant quality are tops!! I grew up in Santa Rosa and used to frequent the original Prickett's Nursery across from the St. Francis Shopping Center. I loved it back then, and so when I visited a friend who lives near Prickett's Nursery in Healdsburg recently, I was eager to visit it with my friend. I'm glad I did! I was impressed with everything about it. They have a huge variety of plants, well-categorized, and reasonably priced. The plants are cared for well and everything I saw looked healthy and vital. Their selection of pots is epic. They have a large and helpful staff. I ended picking up a few perennials, and when I went to pay for them, discovered that they have a 10% senior discount. I, as a senior-type person, am grateful for that nice perk. I'm happy to know that Prickett's Healdsburg exists, and I intend to return and to recommend it to others. read more

Prickett's Nursery in Healdsburg is an amazing nursery for its size, with a huge selection of perennials, annuals, herbs, shrubs, trees, vines, containers, sculptures, soil, etc. It has a wide variety of locally-grown plants, water-wise plants and CA natives. It is absolutely my favorite and I found myself working part-time just so I could be with the plants! You will not do any better in northern CA than this welcoming garden nursery. read more

05/29/2022 I have a home in the area, but had never been to Prickett's. I was looking for 2 new planters and plants to go on each side of my garage entrance and had been to several nurseries in the Santa Rosa area with out finding anything my wife and I liked and the service was not very helpful. While at Prickett's, Judy was very knowledgeable and helped us pick out 2 perfect planters and the plants to put into them within about 30 minutes. The area at my home is quite a challenge since deer roam through on a daily basis and she was aware of what plants would last. They have now been at the location for 10 days and still looking beautiful. They have a great inventory of plants and great employees. read more

I always enjoy my visits to Prickett's Nursery in Healdsburg. It is the nicest smaller scale nursery around, a great selection of plants and even a few chickens scattered about to keep those bugs at bay. We love this nursery! Rene has been invaluable to us to save some trees. Even though we did not buy them at Prickett's (larger trees we bought at a tree farm) she took the time to teach us how to bring them back from the brink of dying and to take care of them going forward. She has also taken the time to advise us on the removal of an invasive species of plant that was propagating on our property after the 2020 Glass Fire. We will be forever grateful for her expertise and her willingness to share it with us. I miss having the nursery on Calistoga Rd, but will drive the extra distance to get the customer service Prickett's always provides. Everyone is friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Healdsburg nursery is your typical full service nursery nestled in an affluent community. they have everything from ground covers to perennials to vines, trees and house plants. i would not say that they have anything off the wall, but their material is nice and the prices are not too horrendous, considering we are in healdsburg. i would not say that i would drive all the way from the east bay just to go to healdsburg nursery, but if you live in windsor or healdsburg, then this is the best nursery in the area to fulfill most of your gardening needs. read more

Last week I bought some pretty grasses, called Mexican Feather Grass. Today our local paper warned that it is a nasty plant, that crowds out native plants and is apparently consider invasive. I went back today to complain, and all they said was that someone should have told me, but offered nothing else. Why are they selling this nasty plant? Why didn't they offer to take it back and sell me somethin less nasty? My conclusion is to be careful what you purchase here and thoroughly research what you intend to buy. Do not waste your time and $$$ here. Prices are THREE times the cost for the same plant and tree that one can obtain at the marvelous Urban Tree Farm (Fulton). We cautiously spend about 1K of our hard-earning money on plants per every few years. If price isn't enough incentive to shop elsewhere, think; incomparably better customer service, knowledgable plant and tree- friendly-folk with a positive and can-do-attitude, far greater selection, healthier plants and a considerably more peaceful environ at the following fantastic nurseries in our great county; Urban Tree Farms (Fulton) -Lovely people, all tree-enthusiasts, hard-working, busy-but-dedicated and available staff, phenomenal selection, will order anything you ask them to, organic fruit trees available, delivery fees are worth the tree delivery! Harmony Farms (Sebastopol) -Phenomenal staff, all friendly and willing to go the extra-mile, customer service is stellar and likely the best of all the Sonoma County nurseries, very healthy and loved plants, great unique selection of items sometimes not found elsewhere King's Nursery ( Santa Rosa) -Fantastic rose selection, informed and pleasant staff Wildwood Nursery (Kenwood) -Brilliant Maple, Dogwood, and Bonsai, Weeping Cedar selection, pricier than some of the others, available and patient staff, very meditative place! SAVE YOURSELF the TIME, MONEY and HASSLE. GO somewhere affordable and/or reasonable, pleasant and plant-informed! A fancy zipcode (I know because I live half the year in Brooklyn, NYC, a much more expensive place depending on neighborhood than Healdsburg, CA) should not mean price gauging! read more

Wonderful selection of roses, fruit trees and annuals , I have even bought my grapes from them. Very healthy and always great success growing it. They also have a big selection of flower pots from small to huge and all kind of colors too. They even advised me on my rose bushes when they had a disease last summer. Healdsburg Nursery usually has something new for my vegetable garden. This nursery is always fun to walk around in the summer time. It is usualy quiet and the staff is helpful, when approached. Sometimes I find end-of-season deals there that make it less expensive. They have wooden stakes in various sizes that I need that can be difficult to find elsewhere. The young women at the counter took her time to help me choose the correct blanket for my fruit trees by explaining the differences between them. She had excellent advice. Now my trees won't freeze this winter. We also like the giant Koi fish in the round tanks around the nursery, they never fail to amuse us. read more
