We came on a lovely, sunny day, as a combined friends and family party of 12 for the lavender u-pick, live jazz, and food trucks. We had such a wonderful time. The staff were so kind and the grounds were beautiful. The lavender fields are easily accessible and the flowers were gorgeous. The food line was a bit of a wait. This was a beautiful place to visit with very friendly and helpful staff members. Despite it being a colder and drizzly day, we enjoyed our time here especially the scavenger hunt was nice touch! The only reason I knocked off a star or half a star was regarding their choice of food vendor taco stand, Tacos don Pepe, they had during the Memorial Day weekend. They charged $30 for a set of three meat tacos and an agua fresca. There was barely any meat or content. And what really put a bad taste in our mouths was that they were already hiking up the price when we were in line, but by the time we were picking up the taco, they were repricing the tacos for $34 for three with a whopping $9 a taco individually. read more

This was an enjoyable, off the beaten path place. I loved that the garden planted to house and feed butterflies, has the pathe through it shaped like a butterfly. They have beautiful flowers as well as being able to pick lavender bundles. I enjoyed the chickens, ducks and geese, as well. read more

We signed up for a tour of the grounds, a very small price to pay for an extensive tour of the lavender rings and the harvesting process. We got an inside look that was very informative and made me appreciate lavender essential oils more. Afterwards we had time to explore the grounds and take in the heavenly scents. A fun spot to come during specific times of the year. Bees N Blooms has been around for awhile, but many still don't really know about it. While popularity has steadily increased over the years, it is still not too busy on most days. I usually come once every few years for lavender bloom, which is always a fun time, but the one complaint I had is their steep increase in costs over the years. It used to just be a per car cost, but now it is a per person and much more to visit. This has led me to visit the location less frequently to be honest, but it is what it is, I guess. While plants for sale may be a bit more than a large chain, I find them to actually survive longer, so there is that. Would I recommend for first timers, yes, but revisiting yearly is sadly out of the question now for me. read more

A group of us went to the Bees N Blooms Lavender Daze event. It was a beautiful day. The live music was delightful. The lavender maze was lovely. They also have a variety of flowers and trees. There's a cute gift shop on the property. I purchased some lavender antibacterial sprays. They smell fantastic! Necessities: Parking is ample- dirt roads. Restrooms There were two portable bathrooms on site with an outdoor hand washing station. Picnic area There was a shaded picnic area with tables and chairs and complimentary water bottles. We try to discover a new corner of Santa Rosa every week. This weekend we bought tickets ($15) to see Bees N Blooms' huge lavender and flower farm. While you can buy bundles of blooms at the farm stand in front, it is worth it to support them by paying the entrance fee. There is a garden shop with fair prices on many plants, purple bee boxes in a special area for hives, a giant purple Adirondack chair for photos, u-pick bundles for $5, and more. Added bonus is all the employees are wonderful, kind, and helpful. Well behaved dogs are welcome. read more

We attended a Father's Day event here, and it was lovely! The hired jazz band (not sure of the group name), and the Tacos Don Pepe station were both big hits with our group. We enjoyed wandering the venue, and visiting the chickens. The lavender and other flowers were in full bloom and gorgeous. Well maintained farm and beautiful labyrinth. A pleasant way to spend a beautiful summer day, We researched lavender fields and decided on Bees-N-Blooms in support of our local lavender farm. Just driving onto the property was lovely. We were immediately greeted and directed to parking. Our personal greeter-however, out of car -was the local chicken-named Houdini -the escape chicken artist. This beautiful 11 acre lavender farm is located at the foot of Taylor Mountain on the Santa Rosa Plain. The farm features a variety of lavender products, honey and wax from ten colonies of honey bees, cut flowers for arrangements, and pollinator-friendly plants. There are lots of little nook and grannies to sit back and relax.  There are cute benches and tables (with shade) beautifully situated for family or romantic picnics. The little farm shop has all sorts of wonderful lavender products and all would make fantastic gifts. Note: This lavender farm requires you to make reservations in advance and they sell out pretty fast! I highly suggest booking ahead. Suggestion: Bring your own picnic and drinks. Not everything was in bloom so next year we shall return at A better time and bring a picnic I hope they entertain having soap and honey making clases that would be awesome. After driving by here a few times on our way to Santa Rosa, we decided to swing in and see what they were about. I had done a little bit of research online but was still unsure what they were... An event location? A massive garden? A plant store?? The answer? All of the above. When we arrived, we were the only ones there and it was a really peaceful and relaxing experience. We parked by the animals and were thrilled to be around them. It was hilarious because they had their geese and their chickens and their ducks all together in one pen. The dynamic was absolutely entertaining because there is a duck that thinks it's a chicken and only hangs out with the chickens, even though there are a bunch of ducks that hang out by themselves. After that we strolled the gardens and the beautiful lavender maze. Hubby is bee-phobic so he went around the lavender maze and met me at the store front to where they sell some of their items. When we were there, they were selling some plants as well as some flowers and fruits from their garden and everything looked healthy and vibrant. On our way back to our car we walked through another part of the garden and asked questions of some of the staff about their artichokes and grapes and so forth. The staff on the property were friendly and engaging, and answered all the questions we had about fruits and veggies and local ecosystems. It was interesting to me that they had some areas with beehives sort of out further from where they would have their events or their parking but they clearly denoted it on their map to avoid those areas. I imagine with so many flowers and fruits, having an apiary is pretty important to get everything pollinated but it's not something that we usually think about in this kind of setting. Access to the location is free, and it's an amazing getaway that feels a lot farther away from Santa Rosa than it is. I would definitely love to return and get some plants for my garden, and also just to nose around those hilarious duck-chickens / chicken-ducks! This is a beautiful and relaxing place that is full of interesting stuff and friendly people, conveniently located just off of Petaluma Hill road! Who would have thought?! read more

Review #104 - 2020 If there's a lavender field nearby, you'll most likely find me there! Since I was already out in Santa Rosa with my nieces having tea, I decided to make it a full day by stopping by at Bees N Blooms since it was only another 10-minute drive away. We showed up at around 1:45 PM on Friday, June 19th. The weather forecast said it was 81°, but there was a nice breeze so it didn't feel as hot as I'd anticipated. Thank goodness! I told the girls that we didn't have to stay long if they didn't want to, but we ended up staying until 3:15 PM. My older sister & her husband decided to meet us so we had a nice & relaxing time just smelling the lavenders, while the kids just played around. There's an open grass area in the middle of the labyrinth, where they set up for small weddings, that the kids were free to play on, which was nice. I ended up buying a few items to take home for my older sisters, which they appreciated. This field is not as big as others that I've been to, but the people here are very friendly & don't make you feel unwelcome. Plus, it's free!! They have other types of flowers for you to enjoy as well. There's a small area with a swing, where a family was having a picnic; but I'm not sure if you need to reserve it in order to use it. My sister already said she wouldn't mind coming back again next year, even though she & her son have bad allergies. read more

I've visited Bees N' Blooms twice this season and both times, had an excellent experience. Their farm and lavender fields have seasonal and limited hours so always best to check before visiting. I signed up for their email list and they are great about keeping you updated on their hours and special events-without too many emails overwhelming your inbox. Their focus is lavender and the labyrinth is the center piece of their grounds. However, they also have a variety of native plants and blooms on the farm. The first time I went was in late April during the Sonoma Farm Trails weekend. They had their farm stand open and featured live music and honey lavender ice cream samples. It was very generous of them and such a relaxing way to spend the afternoon. Throughout the grounds there are benches and chairs to sit and enjoy your surroundings, as well as a nice patio that overlooks their farm and gardens. The next time I visited was in late June and the lavender was in full bloom and the labyrinth was displayed in all its glory. I took the full path through it and enjoyed reading about the different types of blooms they had. Their farm stand is exceptional. They feature locally made honey, lavender bath products, plants to buy and grow in your garden and local artwork. I purchased a snapdragon plant that's done well all summer. Timing is everything with your visit if you're there solely to see the lavender-the month of June tends to be the best time for that. Check ahead, though, since each season can be different based on the prior winter and its rains. If you go during off bloom times, it's still a lovely farm with other plants and flowers to see, along with their farm stand/shop. Support local farmers and make a stop here to see the beauty they offer to the Sonoma and surrounding communities. read more

We came here for the U-Cut lavenders and overall it was a great experience. But here's the recap of our day (nonetheless it's still 5 stars) We ended up driving for at least 1.5 hours from SF due to traffic which made us feel uneasy because we were already going to arrive after our designated start time. But no fear! we had enough time to do everything we wanted to do including taking about 100 pics AND they actually don't kick you out, they just want to make sure there's enough parking spots and it doesn't get close to crowded. We drove our car inside, gave them the name of the ticket purchaser and parked our car. $10 per car and $5 per lavender bunch that you cut. To cut the lavender, you have to sign a form saying you understand there are bees, bee allergy related things, as well as understand that there are ticks there. (We saw someone pulling a tick out out of their leg and then it bled ..ouch not sure if you're supposed to go to the hospital for removal). They provided shears and rubber bands to tie your bunch. Be aware there are lots and lots of bees, but they don't harm you in any way, promise! There was plenty of lavender for you to cut and they had just enough people there at any given time where there's enough room to take photos without getting anyone in the background! They had a little shop selling plants including lavender and eggs from the chickens and ducks that they have. They also had lemonade for you to drink and lavender satchels for sale. I also want to mention that although they had a a lot of other plants plus a lavender labyrinth, I genuinely thought it would be a much larger farm/area. We just felt like we drove allll the way here, we thought it'd be bigger. The staff was extremely nice especially the lady at the store! We read on the handout/map they gave us that a few places required masks to be on but no one asked us to put them on even at the shop (maybe because vaccinated people don't have to wear them outside anymore?) Overall worth going to! read more

I am only giving one star because of the price, and not enough to see and do for the price. Children under 12 are free but anyone else is $15. So, since there were 3 of us, I paid $45--So, not worth it. We made ourselves walk slowly to try and get our money's worth, but we were only there about 45 minutes, and we walked through everything and took pictures. Just look at the lavendar design using Google Earth or from other images and save some money. You can go to the store for free and they have nice culinary lavendar. The price of $10-$15 would be ok PER CAR. Besides, there are beautiful nurseries in Marin, Sonoma and Napa that are FREE! read more

What a beautiful farm! It was so nice to get out of the city and see bees, butterflies and lots of birds! Everything is organic and meant to feed pollinators. I felt like I could breathe. And walking the lavender labyrinth was a zen experience. After we sat in the middle and watched the clouds and birds...really lovely day!! Wow, what an extraordinary place and right here in Santa Rosa! This is the perfect place for a wedding or any event actually. The owners are so friendly and you feel immediately welcomed. The flowers are beautiful and they have milkweed and monarchs! You can either walk around to see their bees and animals (super friendly geese) or relax in the fragrant labyrinth (really a must do) with a picnic and glass of wine. Many cut flowers, garden vegetables, duck eggs and bee products available from the farm and locally as well as many fun gift items representing Sonoma County, Bees and Blooms! I recently sent some lovely tea towels to a relative in Ireland which had a bee theme and lavender theme. My relative loved these and has placed them where visitors can view them. There are also tee shirts, vases, dried lavender and much more. The farm has a beautiful lavender labyrinth to experience as well as many other plants and of course bees. They have limited hours but if you happen to be passing on Petaluma Hill Road and they are open, it is well worth a stop in or of course check their hours on their website and plan a visit.
