I'd shopped around and gotten a few quotes, all pretty similar, but Rick offered the best deal by far. Turns out, I was negotiating directly with the owner, which definitely made a difference. Supporting local small businesses is something I value, and it was great to find out Rick is from nearby Surprise. Some other companies wanted to charge extra just because I'm in Buckeye, which didn't make sense to me--especially since gas prices here are way cheaper than where I moved from in San Francisco, haha. Rick is very fair and has tons of experience. I have a heavy garage door (525 lbs) with 2 rails. The previous installer put springs on that were not properly sized which caused eventual motor failure after 20 months. Rick set me up with the correct springs and he also noticed a frayed cable which he replaced.
