Needed a split pipe replaced behind an outdoor water spigot. They needed to access it through the drywall in the garage. My wife was home alone and they called me at work. Technician explained that it would be a flat rate of $250 to "investigate" the source of the leak, even though it was obvious exactly where it's coming from since you can see it leak. Then it would be the cost to repair the pipe. Fine, I figured. He was already there and he said it should be a straight forward, simple fix. What he didn't tell me is that the repair would also be a flat rate of $577. With taxes and parts we were at $900. The whole job took just under two hours. Now I have a huge hole in my wall and a regretful feeling of getting hosed (no pun intended). I recommend getting ALL pricing before work is done. My fault to agree to $250 in the first place to identify a leak that we already knew the source of. Unfortunately we were taken advantage of. Giving a very generous two stars since it was fixed. Better off working with someone you trust that works on time and material. Or you could pay Pride Plumbing over $400 an hour. Another plumber said afterward he would have been $150. Never Pride again. Sad. Update: Manager Zach called after this review. He said they reviewed the billing again and determined it wasn't necessary to charge the inspection fee and he also applied a coupon against the other charges. Total savings $290. Unfortunately a poor Yelp review required proper billing and action. At least they made an attempt. Kudos for making it right. read more

Wow - IMPRESSIVELY prompt service. Called early in the morning because (surprise) there's poop backing up into my basement, and they had someone at my door within an hour. Had a very good (knowledgable and courteous) technician Sam who came out and quickly took care of the problem. Because of the situation, I was in no place to go through the whole "get three quotes and compare options" thing, but you know what, at that point I was happy just to be able to flush my toilets again. I also don't think their price was far off. Yes, they will charge you a fee to come out and diagnose your problem, but so will everyone else. Last week we finally decided that having to plunge a toilet every time it's used is not optimal, so, since we have a service contract with Pride, we called. First, Dan C was on time, and as is usual for Pride, pleasant, informed, and not at all pushy. We explained what we wanted, he found a unit that met our needs and our price point. Second, with the contract savings, we decided that the powder room needed a new unit as well, so we got 2 toilets installed, and the old ones removed in one 3-hour service call. We have annual maintenance completed on the main sewer line. In the past we have had a backup into the basement. It was recommended by the town to have an annual clean out to keep this from happening. The town provides a free camera viewing. We contacted Pride to do the cleaning as they were recommended by neighbors. A $50 service fee is charged and they would assess the situation when they arrived in terms of charges. When the tech arrived he quoted us a possible $1900 in charges. We were very specific about on the phone and to the tech of the service needed. He never opened the cap off the drain line to "assess" what work would be needed. He just stood in the basement and started checking boxes of possible charges. We opted for no service. It is unfortunate at how unethical large plumbing companies are. read more

We called Pride on a Saturday to assess our shower/bath spigot. The entire unit was so tight we couldn't turn it off. Upon arrival, David assessed the issue and provided us with various solutions. He started with the most cost effective but warned us he could discover something else which would drive the price up. He did discover more issues that resulted in us needing a return visit, three hours of additional work, and the installation of an access panel. David was great, courteous, and professional. Our shower works like a dream now! Pride was great and up front with prices. On top of that, they fit us in last minute on a Saturday and sent our tech back on a Sunday to complete the job. ****update**** Just a heads up. There is zero mercy when it comes to the service fee just to come out. They will fully charge you even if it's something that takes 6 seconds to fix. For example I made a mega mistake on my part with our water spigot. I was trying to turn it off but in reality I was just trying it the wrong way and mistakenly thought the spigot was broken. Silly I know! And I've used it successfully all last summer! I was so mad at myself afterwards, serious brain fart moment! The plumber who came was incredibly nice and even laughed along with me at my silly mistake. He TRIED to get his boss to drop the service fee for me or at least negotiate it lower because all he had to do was turn the handle and the water shut right off. Literally 3 seconds worth of effort. But he came back to me bummed because there was zero mercy when it came to the fee. I was a bit surprised because I'd used them before and was very pleased. I was proud to be a repeat customer, but I guess trying to be loyal doesn't count for anything :-/ read more

We came back from vacation to find a leak in our hot water tank (and a basement full of water!). Pride Plumbing was there the next morning and handled everything professionally. Brandin had the hot water tank replaced and the entire situation under control in a few hours. Their initial price offer was higher than a competitor's price but their policy of price matching sealed the deal.Their phone service person Ursula was very easy and pleasant to speak with.We made the service appointment and their plumber/installer Kory came to my house during the time frame promised. This is the second time we've used Pride Plumbing and they were just as great as the first. We needed a replacement gas line run to our stove. Our service technicians David V. and Manny V. were thorough, detailed and kept us up-to-date at each step of the process. They made our gas usage more efficient because of the techniques they used. They pointed out where the old vendor used parts that were substandard and they replaced them so that we are up to code and now have no concerns about the safety of our gas stove usage. From what I've learned, Pride Plumbing is a company that takes care of its employees and therefore has a highly capable staff. We would definitely use them again. read more

$400/hr?! Are they crazy? WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. STAY AWAY. There are plumbers who will do great work and are more reasonably priced. First off, these guys charge $50 just to come out and look at the job. I had them quote replacing one outdoor frost-free spigot and they quoted $470. The guy mentioned it would only take an hour. The materials cost less than $70 which means they're charging $400 for an hour of work! That's just insane. The quoting process took less than 10 minutes and now I'm out $50. (If you choose them they put the $50 service fee towards the work so them just quoting tries to lock you into the job.) We had a second contractor come out who quoted materials for $50-$70 and 1 hr of work for $125. This is less than half the price of Pride Plumbing! Check out Spampinato Mechanical Contractors for reasonable pricing and quality work. The only difference was that Pride could do the work the same day but I'm going to have to wait a few days on the other contractor. Still, $470 vs $195? Think twice before having them come by. read more

Overall, we had a very positive experience with Pride Plumbing--we called on a Thursday evening at 7 PM to see about getting an estimate. Pride was there the next morning, and Keith and Bryce were very thorough in explaining our options, and the price they quoted was superior to a prior estimate. We decided to go ahead and they scheduled us for the following Monday--literally two-plus business days from initial call to completed installation! Justin explained everything, and was very patient with our questions. Justin and Bryce left our basement neat and clean. There was some initial confusion in the office about our appointment time, and the office could not have been more courteous--or more apologetic--about the snafu, and they got the crew out to our house in no time. Pride Plumbing has been absolutely amazing. Everyone who has come out (and there are literally too many for me to name without missing someone...) has been friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and clean. They are responsive, fast, came out during Covid and were very safe. I've had to snake (more than once) and had a major situation needing some excavation in the basement. (After a couple of routine calls too close together, we decided it was time to try to figure out what was really going on and address it...) They explained all my options and worked with me to find the best, most affordable, way to address the (very disgusting) situation. Eventually I will probably have to do something about the clay pipes, but until then, I know I can always count on Pride Plumbing. (And whenever I do decide to replace those pipes, I'm sure they'll still be my first call!) read more

I had Pride Plumbing come and replace a single handle Tub/Shower valve and fixture just yesterday. Scheduling was a breeze and Jamie was very responsive via email and very helpful in fitting me in fairly quickly. The plumber that came out, Steve, was very nice, did a great job, and was professional (cleaned up after, etc.). However, they were very very expensive. They do not give you a quote before hand, even when you are very specific about what you want done. They charge you a $30 service fee for coming out, they then give you a price when they are in your home, and can do the work right then. This is a way of getting you not to comparison shop, and once they are in - how do you say "No" then go look for another, less expensive plumber? I am sure that is by design. They don't even waive the $30 service fee, but add it to the price! One plumber came out with a helper (trainee, apprentice) who didn't do any of the work, they were here for 2 hours and it cost me $500 AND I even supplied the fixture, so that is all labor! $500 for 1 plumber and a helper for 2 hours labor? That's ridiculous. Bottom line: I think they did a good job, and the people I dealt with were very helpful, and professional but I felt gouged. Because of the above I will try out other plumbers in the future before turning to Pride. Good work, and professional courteous staff, but extremely high prices = 3 stars. read more

They need to rename their company for what they really are... SHAMEFUL. I called them for a leaking kitchen sink at a rental property and they ended up charging me over 1k. It started as a service call of 89 dollars because it was Friday afternoon...from there it was you need to redo the piping under the sink for another 300 hundred...then you need a sink trap for over 200 dollars ..then came the call that it wasn't draining because piping in the basement needed to be redone.. another 300 dollars and oh yeah another 200 hundred dollars to have the drain snaked! They are probably the most deceptive company I have ever come across. Think twice about calling them!!! read more

What can I say? I was really impressed. Our backyard faucet was leaking and I called here after finding them here on yelp and was able to get an appointment right away. They said they would be out between 11am-1pm and they came about 12 which is not too shabby. The cost to come out was $30 which didn't seem too bad compared to others. First Impression: Brian the guy who came out to assess and do the job was very personable and friendly. He looked it over and knew what the problem was and had different options of what we could do. He said they had coupons on their website and said he would take $25 off which was awesome. He took his time and let me know what he did when he was finished.
