UPDATE: HEAP approved me for a window unit AC in June 2022. It wasn't so hot at the time so I…read moredidn't have to use my AC. July it got really hot and humid so I turned on my AC. I allowed it to run for 3 hours non stop and my apartment wasn't getting cool at all. I decided to call HPHAC and spoke with Megan. Megan said she's get someone to call me back in a few minutes. Well the few minutes ended up being a bit longer. Anyway to get to the point. Today two HPHAC employees showed up and corrected the adjustment on my AC Remote. My apartment feels very comfortable and cool now. Thanks High Performance Heating and cooling for keeping me cool and comfortable. You guys are the best! I am one happy customer Thank you!!! "Worse review I could possibly give - Zero Stars!!" I don't…read moreusually give reviews but I do read them. I live in a senior complex with subsidized housing and am on a fixed income. Last summer was my first full summer in my new apartment and I needed an air conditioner. I applied to the Cooling Program affiliated with HEAP for a free air conditioner. When I was accepted, I received a listing of companies who participate in the program by giving and installing air conditioners. High Performance Heating and Air (HPHA) was one of the companies listed. I contacted them because they were closest to my apartment complex. Two young men arrived with a 17-inch GE air conditioner, brand new still in the box. One of the men unboxed the unit and installed it in my window, screwing it to the window frame and the bottom sash while the other man just stood there and watched. Imagine my surprise when the maintenance person for my apartment complex informed me that because the installers for HPHA "mounted" the air conditioner to the frame and window, I would need to replace both at my expense. I received an invoice for $302 for the replacement of the frame and bottom sash. I also received a document stating HPHA will be reimbursed $800 from the HEAP Cooling Program for their assistance in providing the air conditioner and installing it. I contacted HPHA through email and told them my situation twice before I finally received a call back. I again explained the situation to a person who identified herself as Megan. She stated she would call me back. When I did receive a return call, Megan informed me that she had spoken to her boss who in turn told her to tell me mounting the air conditioner was "standard practice" therefore they would not be paying for the frame replacement! If I had been told HPHA's "standard practice" was to mount a small 17-inch air conditioner in a window, I would not have let them install it. They should let customers know how they install an air conditioner, even one of small size, before they even schedule an appointment. They are being paid $800 for an air conditioning unit that retails at Walmart for approximately $140 and for the roughly 15 minutes it took one person to install. I now have a bill for $302 that I can't afford due to HPHA's "standard practice" that they don't inform potential customers about while they're walking away with $800 (and I'm sure an enormous profit). Don't give them your business. They are only interested in making a profit at the expense of low-income people like myself and they're using the HEAP Cooling program to do it. In addition to posting this review, I am contacting my local HEAP office and letting them know what High Performance Heating and Air is doing to the people HEAP is trying to help.

I am not known for poor reviews but this is one of them…read more Hired Isaac a couple of years ago for an inspection and cleaning on our furnace, tankless water heater and air conditioner. Was pleased with the service so we bought one of their expensive maintenance plans. First of all, you have to call them every year to return for a cleaning and inspection. They should call us to schedule service thru their expensive plan. Fine. We are considering moving so I called for an inspection and cleaning. They wouldn't do the A/C bc it was February. Again, fine. Well the nightmare began. Now keep in mind everything worked perfectly prior to this service. Again, cleaning and inspection. Tech started inspection. Soon I heard a half hour of very loud metallic banging. I asked how it was going and was told he was trying to free a part to clean and check it. In the end, couldn't get it. Specialist had to return. Specialist returned and said igniter was bad. Changed it and it cost $162 which was the cost after the $600 maintenance plan previously mentioned. Pretty quickly we noticed more trouble. No hot water for a number of minutes. You may say no big deal but try running your bath for 3 to 5 minutes bf you get hot water. This happens on every faucet too. So we called again. Tech came and now found a bunch of gas leaks and the heat exchanger was bad. Cost $300 after their wonderful $ 600 maintenance plan. They also repaired some of the gas leaks. Said RGE had to fix another one. RGE came and said no leak. Hmmmmm... And I can't help to wonder how much of this is a result of the first Tech banging away full force on a very intricate and fragile piece of equipment. And we don't even have the new heat exchanger installed yet!! No call with an update, no call to schedule appt. Nothing. 2 months ago we called for an inspection. $500 later (not including the investment in the $600 maintenance plan) we have a non properly functioning water heater, no appointment and no plan. So much for hiring a big company for expertise, service and peace of mind. Ill update when, I mean if this gets resolved.

We had Isaac install a solar voltaic system. The system came with a performance warranty. I have…read morereason to believe one string is under performing. Isaac tech came out to explain they no longer install these systems. I keep getting promises about a return call, that never materializes.
