This is our fourth visit to Pride Resort. Staff are awesome I haven't met an unfriendly one including the grounds staff. If we need anything they have always been helpful. This is farm county so there will be some livestock smells at times. If I wanted city smells I would camp in a smoggy city. We love sitting down by the creek. We will return here read more

We had a reservation and the staff called and asked us to change sites so a group of individuals who had children could be close to each other. We agreed. Unfortunately, where they moved us was next to the sewage dump center on the opposite end of the campground. We are in site G5 this smell of sewage is absolutely disgusting and it comes in gusts. The other RVs around us were very unhappy as well. We like the campground, but do not stay on that end. I spoke to the manager and it was passed off as nothing they could do. read more

It is a beautiful and very well kept park. The pool,mini golf and other activities that or there make the camping trip so enjoyable for everyone. Church service anointed and Pastor brings the word every Sunday!!! Why I gave 2 stars is the fact that the manger's wife is the rudest, unhinged, and unprofessional person I encountered when vaccinating ever!!!! She aggressively TRIED to intimidate myself and also other guests/employees, with no sense of the law or regard for guests or employees. Clearly no self control whatsoever. She has been witnessed also threatened kids ,elderly men and the Pastor there at the park. Lastly in this long review that needs to be posted, if attitude of this particular woman was changed then the the Pride park would be totally awesome as a vacation spot or place to work. read more

Well kept, very clean. The ponds are nice and the creek is beautiful. The people we saw and spoke to were also very pleasant and helpful. We thought that price was fair. All of the sites except for the ones around the perimeter are pull-through. Downsides are that the sites are extremely close together, not all sites have picnic tables (seems like 1/2-1/3 of the them do), and they do not allow campfires except for those that are propane. read more

Please read this review and be WARNED NOT TO USE THIS CAMPGROUND. Upon arrival we received a luke warm reception at check in. After getting the usual map and instructions I noticed the very narrow lane we had to navigate with several parked cars partially blocking the lane. I was told do you're best and if you have problem come see us. That should have been my first warning sign. Upon arrival at our site, C9, we were challenged to fit a 40' 5th wheel between 2 very large trees. With the usual audience of neighbors looking on and wondering if they could help we did squeeze in. FYI, no room to stay connected (pull thru). In our process of setting up we noticed the campground to be on the older side especially the pedestal leaning at an angle (should have been our second warning). After setting up we decided to take a stroll and noticed that most of the one way lanes had cars parked blocking them in some fashion! Cut to our last day. Early to leave at 7:30 am and several cars blocking our exit down the one way lane however we did have a clear shot out the opposite direction. We had asked the one neighbor the previous day if they could move and that never happened. It actually was an easier out with the large trees and blocked cars going the "opposite way" however at that time of the morning there was no other inbound traffic. Several hours later that day I got an email from the campground billing me $400 for a new pedestal!!!!!! No phone call, nothing!!! I immediately called and was greeted by the anything but friendly manager, Sam. After a brief discussion and explaining the morning I as told "too bad we are charging you and have pictures". I attempted to further explain to "Sam" that this damage was present prior to our arrival and even if by some stroke of lightning I did strike the box, to which I didn't, there would be damage to my rig and my "pictures" clearly show that. Basically his rude response was we have lawyers and again too bad! Obviously this is an attempt to take advantage of people for their staff being inept. It is a painful lesson to please take pictures before and after at all sites going forward. This is a first for us after 5+ years of RV lifestyle. Expensive RV Resort. Everything has a charge and if you stay 4 weeks your fee is $950. Noisy even near the creek. Sites very close to each other and staff cranky and curt! Water issues; mostly brown so we purchased jugs of water. One of the staff member cut our hose with weed eater and not only were they not phased but didn't apologize (I was in RV at the time). Plenty of other places to park your RV besides this one! read more

Horrible customer service. Their staff talks to their customers like they are dogs. It used to be a wonderful place to come not anymore. Under new management and it shows. Families come to campgrounds to "getaway" from the craziness of everyday life to be able to let their guards down a little and enjoy. To let their kids be kids, ride their bikes, play games and be in the outdoors. This is NOT the campground if you want to be able to do these things. If you want to "pay your money" for a vacation where you will be constantly stalked/scolded, your kids will not be able to play without fear of "abuse" behavior from Rhonda Curlee towards your kids. When kids are more mature acting in handling confrontations than the staff there is a major crack in your LEADERSHIP/ PROFESSIONALISM being able to handle customer service. I expect more out of my kid and demand respect for authority placed over them. But as far as we are concerned Rhonda's behavior was nothing short of "abusive" toward my child. You do NOT touch/stand nose to nose with someone else's child! The parent is to be held accountable for their child's behavior and made aware of any problems that need to be addressed. Someone who is that quick/hot tempered does NOT need to be in customer service! Does NOT need to be allowed to work or work around children. Restrooms were always really clean. Campground was pretty slow and quiet. Always very clean and mowed. Only negatives were that sites don't have fire pits so there a only a handful of them. People take their chairs and reserve them during the day to use that night. So you aren't guaranteed to get a pit. And not sure what was going on while we were there but it always smelled like a farm. Like horse and cow poo. Other than that a nice campground. read more

I called and reserved a apartment for TWO nights and when I checked in I did not notice that I had been charged for THREE nights. I went back to the office, the same day, and let them know a mistake had been made, and I was told that the company policy was no refunds. I asked her to call the manager and to let me know, I never heard a response. Today I went to check out and was told about the same policy and I was not able to receive a refund. So beware when making a reservation at this place, they may try to get additional money from there guest without them knowing and then blame the "Company Policy" of no refunds. Not sure they take much PRIDE in putting the customer first! You pay first and if you don't like the place, or THEY make a mistake and over charge, does not matter, company policy says no refunds. $110 tip and lesson learned! I will NEVER stay here again and will be sure and let all my camping friends know. The place to stay is Creek Side, which is next door, to this not so prideful place. Along with the Company Policy ordeal, we stayed in one of the apartments and the bed was HORRIBLE! Sagging in the middle and I had to sleep on the couch for two nights. read more

Nice staff. A lot of road noise even on the sites along the creek. $60 bucks a night. We had brown water everyday when we used water for first time of the day. Not sure what was up with that. Cable feed at out site was pretty crappy too. Stayed three nights. So the issues weren't that big of a deal, but a long stay would've been bigger issue. read more

Pleasant, very clean, mostly quiet resort with friendly staff. We ate a nice breakfast on Sunday morning, my husband especially liked the biscuits and gravy. We would definitely come back to this park and would make reservations a little further from the highway. My parents paid for a site, an apartment, and a trailer. My brother decided not to bring his camper, so the paid for site sat empty. Instead of parking our truck in overflow parking, we parked on the site that was paid for. My brother and I were sitting in the truck catching up. We were rudely approached by the camp manager, Sam, and another woman. We told them our parents paid for the site and they repeatedly told us no they didn't. So we called our parents to come over. They even told our parents they didn't pay for the site until Sam decided to call the office manager to confirm. Even with confirmation, he made us leave the site that we paid for because we didn't have the camper with us. So I asked for the refund since he wouldn't let us use the site. He said you could have got a refund seven days ago, but not tonight. Still continued to not let us use the site we paid for. He even said he was going to let another family stay there with their camper tonight. Making twice the money, huh? Oh and don't get me started on the lady with Sam. She was rude the moment she started talking. She told my stepdad to stop talking twice and was very rude to my mother when she was trying to describe the lady that checked us in. Very rude people and if you won't let the site be used by the people who PAID FOR IT then your refund policy should go out the window. Needless to say I will be posting this review on any social media site they have to save others from this mess. read more

The camp site was beautiful! We enjoyed it a lot! The only issue was we had clothes stole so don't leave clothes unattended at any time.

I cam across this place and have been here for weeks. Restrooms ate clean. The people are the most friendliest and caring. I highly recommend anyone around this area looking for an RV Campground to come here. The creek is gorgeous and the pool is amazing!!! They also have lots of activities, which are great for adults and children. Best place around these parts. read more

If you are looking for a quiet mountain retreat this is not your place. The road noise is very loud. The sites right next to the creek are the best. The facilities are well maintained. Campers are about 30 feet from each other with no bushes or trees between sites. Mature trees provide shade for most sites at least part of the day. And summer temperatures are 15 degrees cooler than the low country. You are close to mountain trails and river rafting opportunities. The swimming pool is small but open from 10-10. read more

If you're looking for a relaxing vacation in the mountains, this is the place to stay! They have accommodations for campers and also cabins and park models for rent. The park is located in such a great location, only minutes away from downtown Waynesville and Maggie Valley. There is so much to do at the park including swimming, fishing, putt putt, and tubing down the creek that I was never bored during my stay. The park is also very clean and the staff is so friendly! Close to home so we frequent here as a quick weekend get away. Nice pool, and hot tub. cabins are nice, usually stay in our RV. Often have entertainment such as clogging or gospel singing. Bath house is extremely clean. nice water pressure and plenty of hot water!! Has mini golf, playground and the creek + 2 ponds you can fish, swings you can just relax next to Creek.
