I have been going to Dr. Edlund and the FWB LensCrafters for years. This past Christmas I tried…read moreout the Destin Store as we were out there and needed new exams and glasses. Huge mistake. The staff were all nice, but the teleexam prescription was never right and one of the pairs of glasses that were supposedly in never showed up for weeks. Went back to FWB and Dr. Edlund. The first prescription was wrong but the experience was great and the process thorough. Won't go anywhere else. Highly recommended!

I don't usually write reviews, especially bad ones but after my contact follow up appointment I…read morefeel as though this needs to be said. I want to preface that this review is not geared towards any front of house staff, they are all kind and haven't treated me wrongly. They are the reason this review isn't one star. On the other side, Dr. Kristian Edlund is not someone I would recommend. My first visit was about a month ago and I let his rushed cold demeanor slide. For all I knew, he was busy or having a bad today. My contact fitting appointment was another story. I spoke up about my right contact being blurry at the fitting. I compared my old contact prescription to the new one and pointed out that the new right axis was 020 but my old right axis was 180. He then made two comments that were very unprofessional. First he stated "that's why that information is important on your first visit." I stayed quiet but upon reflection, my intake paperwork never asked for my old prescription and I was never asked about it during my first appointment. In fact, my first appointment was super fast as he was in and out within no time. I thought it was the doctors job to create a prescription based off of the new eye exam? So that didn't sit right with me. After that, I explained to him that when I close my left eye that the right eye is blurry. He then stated "It's a good thing you don't walk around with just your right eye open." He proceeded to say "most people walk around with both eyes open" Congrats, you are 100% correct I do walk around with both eyes open but I am your client who is letting it be known that one of my eyes is blurry. I feel that there was no need for such a comment. I wouldn't have had to see which eye was blurry if I had noticed my eyes were perfect after I put in the trial contacts but they weren't. Last I checked, even with both eyes open if one eye is blurry that is going to mess with my entire vision. It felt like a mess up happened and it was trying to be blamed on me. I do not appreciate being talked to in this manner and feel as though other people deserve to know how this doctor treats his patients. I have been seeing eye doctors for the last 20 years of my life and have never felt so belittled. Personally, I would stay away from Dr. Kristian Edlund if you have a choice.

Dr. Laird was so sweet and kind, and made sure she explained everything to him and how the testing worked. We just went to pick up his new glasses yesterday and they were so friendly and sweet, and worked with him to make sure they were fitting him properly. They even were able to replace a nose pad on my sunglasses. Would recommend a 1,000%

I received the glasses on July 17. Within a week one of the lenses fell out. I went back to Vision Hub and they made an adjustment. A week later lens fell out again. Finally on 3rd time they ordered new glasses on August 12. On September 3 I went to Vision Hub to ask about my glasses-have STILL not come in!! An employee told me a manager was not available but he would be sure to tell them I was pissed, and someone would call me back. September 4-I went back to Vision Hub, told same employee-OR ANYONE- has called me back. He told me the regional manager was coming in tomorrow(September 5) and would be bringing in my new frames- not what I was told was ordered on August 12! It is now September 5. No one has called me back-ever; I STILL do not have my glasses-I don't know for sure the new pair, a warranty replacement, was ever in fact ordered. I told the employee I was done with Vision Hub, that just wanted my new glasses-or my money back- and I will never spend another penny in that store!

My 86 yo mother has been followed in the Crestview office for several years and has had excellent service and care by both staff and providers. She was recently told she needed a capsulotomy on her lens replacement and procedures were only done at the Niceville office. The staff are rude, flippant when asked questions about the extremely long waits more the 1.5 hours. Sitting in the waiting room HIPPA is definitely not followed as from where I sat for 4 hours I clearly heard patients names, social security numbers, diagnosis and more. I also listened to the staff laughing and talking about their weekend and so forth so we how are waiting get the idea they are doing nothing. Most patients are elderly and don't understand what is going on. I saw them send one elderly woman back home 3 times because they said her insurance card was wrong then when her daughter came back with her the staff said they messed up. I don't know if the physician know what a poor picture of their business the staff portrayed but we will not go back.
