I have an engineering background and it was easy to see how much expertise Fred had in LG washing machines (no doubt, after working for LG for 3 years). And he's a really nice guy. And so respectful/careful about our floors and cabinetry surrounding the machine, and he took the time to generally look over the machine to make sure everything else was ok (including double testing it after the repair was done). From talking with him during the job, it was clear he also had extensive experience in a number of other brands (Samsung, Whirlpool family) and across a range of different appliances. And his fee was very, very reasonable. Highly recommended and if we have a need in the future, he will be the person we call. Thank you for the great job - we appreciate it.

They came out the day after I requested service and their employee, Fred, was very thorough with helping us get our dryer vacuumed out and a part replaced. He event went to Home Depot to get a part for us that I thought he might not be able to fix. He was so helpful that we showed him our oven and he was also able to repair the range the same day! Alex came out and assessed the problem with my washing machine, ordered a part, and acme back later that day and replaced it. The problem still occurred so he came back with another replacement part, hoping the first one might just be defective- but it wasn't. Same issue. Both he and Dan explained that the problem was the main board and it wasn't worth fixing. Then this happened: Dan refunded me the cost of the part and labor, and only charged me for the visit. He then offered to assist me in getting a new machine. I texted him once at Best Buy and he told me which brands to get and which ones to avoid. He walked me through each machine I found (by model number) with "pros and cons" until I found the one I got. I have never experienced this kind of service and actual care from a repair company. We called Time Appliance Repair for a broken dryer door…read more Alex showed up on time, was kind, had great communication, and went straight to work. I really appreciated that he gave me two options. The obvious answer of replacing the entire door. Which not only would've been expensive but had a longer leadtime from the manufacturer. And another option of just replacing a singular part. Which not only was less expensive, but the part could be ordered and replaced faster. He warned me it wasn't a sure thing, but I really appreciated him not just giving me the more expensive option and allowing me the choice. At the time I was also eight months pregnant and really needed my dryer working to get through all of the baby items, Alex saw this and promised to call me the second the part got in and sure enough he did. He was at my house 8 AM the day after the part arrived to fix it. Anytime we have any appliance issue we will definitely be coming Time Appliance Repair.

I have a washer dryer that gets incredible use from my family of two. I don't want to point fingers, but I don't wash everything I try on once. In fact I don't wash everything I wear once if it's a pair of pants that can get some more wear. I do, however live with someone who puts something in the laundry if it gets tried on (oops, finger pointing) but I came to praise Time Appliance Repair not bemoan certain people who are a diva. ahem. The lint screen in the dryer was popping out of its cradle and when I looked closely, I relaized the cradle, a plastic contraption, had been broken in a corner and was catching any long strings. Since we're an athletetic household, this would include anything with the word sweat attached to it: -pants, shirts, anything with a tie - swimsuits, bathrobes, Australian bush hats... and wreck them, which I discovered when I tried to tie my sweat pants which would have none of it. And when the drawstring departs, so do the pants. I went to Yelp for bids, and Time Appliance replied immediately. Asked for a picture of the problem (which I had, but the app moved quicker than I could attach them), made sure I got them to them and sent a wonderful worker, Alex, out within the hour. They have a well automated system that lets you know with a picture of the service person that they are coming within a safe space to tie your bathrobe just before they show. Alex wore booties (without us requesting and the house had been cleaned that morning), was really conscientious, went right to work (no "visit fee" applicable, and gave me a MUCH cheaper quote than anyone including those who wanted a diagnositc fee applicable to service, requiring you pretty much to agree to their fee or lose the diagnostic fee. Alex said we needed a part that had to be ordered (I knew it would require a factory part). He called IMMEDIATELY ON RECIEPT and said he'd be over as soon as I could accomadate him. Which was right then, and he was over in minutes. I didn't want to write until I could comment on the quality of the work. Quality of installation: extraordinary. Booties were on, service was done, a deep clean of the machinery below the new filter. I have Time Appliance Repair in the forever booking now. I was blown away to discover they were brand new. This is the kind of service however that is either from people who really want your business or people who really want to be your brand name for service. They are both for me. Please try Time Appliance Repair before it becomes impossible to book them. I was amazed, and I don't amaze easy.

Everything in my life is breaking , again!…read more It's been a minute Yelp. Just When I Thought I Was Out, They Pull Me Back In! This time around my wife says she smells something burning, somethings not right. She pin points the dryer as the culprit. We notice the drum is white hot. There are water drops coming out of the crevices. Witchcraft? Demon possession? No, blocked exhaust hose Alex from Swiftec Services explained to me over the phone. He says I can be there at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. Blocked it was! Our poor LG dryer was a mess. Tons of lint had built up inside this thing. Alex took the thing apart and cleaned it thoroughly. He also replaced the exhaust hose. He got our dryer back in business. Before I called him I thought oh great, time for a new $900 dryer! His price was more than fair. Call him, you will be in good hands!

They were able to schedule me for the very next day, which was a huge plus. Mike arrived and quickly diagnosed the problem. Instead of trying to upsell me on unnecessary parts or repairs, he found a repair kit that fixed the issue without replacing the entire component, saving me a significant amount of money. Because my refrigerator needed to be completely defrosted before the repair could be done, we had to postpone the actual repair. Once it was ready, Mike came back the very next morning and had everything fixed in about 30 minutes. I really appreciated Mike's honesty and the effort he made to keep my costs as low as possible. I wouldn't describe US Standard as inexpensive, in fact, the repair still felt pricey considering the cost of the part and the relatively quick labor. However, I also recognize that it could have been much more expensive if Mike had insisted on replacing the entire assembly instead of using the repair kit.
