I was originally going to take off 1 star for the following. I called in and got an appointment. When I went in, I was told they couldn't find me. My appointment was for 10:15 and they said they didn't do :15 apointments. They got me in about 45 min later. I checked my call log in case I made a mistake, but I called the correct number to make the appointment. Not sure what happened. However, once the appointment started, I just had a basic oil change service. It went speedily. I gave them back the star when I found out they checked my air filter. I have a Mazda and the air filter is a pain to get to. Every other auto service I've been to since the life of this car, when they do a "multi system check", they NEVER check the air filter. The fact they did suggest they were actually quite thorough with the inspection. Furthermore, as I sat waiting, there was about 6 completed services that I overheard. Only 1 of those 6 "found something else". In my experience, whenever I'm getting an oil change via a coupon, the goal is to get me in and upsell me. They didn't do that to me, nor did they do it to the majority of what I what I observed. They seem quite honest. I will be back. read more

I had a great experience at Prime Automotive with Juan and his team. They are extremely knowledgeable and take the time to really explain everything in a way that makes sense. What stood out to me the most was how they showed actual graphs and walked me through what parts were being affected and why--not just telling me "you need this" and giving me a price. They took me to the back to physically show and explain things, which made me feel confident and informed about the work being done. It didn't feel rushed or transactional. Instead, they made sure I truly understood what was going on with my car. On top of that, everyone there had a positive attitude, funny, nice, and made the whole experience feel comfortable and uplifting. It's rare to find a shop that is both honest and cares about their customers. He just charged my wife $6000 and never even replaced her car's Transmission! They just messed with it a little bit! DONT COME HERE! I came to this mechanic shop for service on my rear brakes, and rotor. They gave me the truck back with nearly every light illuminated on the instrument cluster! My truck is 11 months old!!! A 2024 Toyota Tacoma. Next they try to claim that the lights were illuminated before I went for service???? Than I got in a heated argument with there "boss" on the phone and he said he was coming down to the shop to see me, and they would not release the truck to me until he was here, I called the police and am currently waiting on the outcome! BEWARE, they don't know what they're doing!!! Police came and only than did they release the truck to me, because my invoice was signed and the service was already paid for. I don't know what type of shady stuff they were trying to pull off, but the lights are still illuminated on my instrument cluster. Do not go to this place!! I went in for an alignment and the guy at the counter asked why. Told him I changed some parts. He says why did you change them. Why does it matter??? I told they were worn and I changed them. He looks at me all smug and said YOU changed them. Like im not supposed to work on my own fucking car. She has it towed with AAA to a mechanic who pops the hood and finds the gas cap unscrewed. I call to let the shop know and the owner on the phone is defensive and denies this happening. I tell him check on his people and hang up. He actually calls me back and asks me to come to the shop so he can mess me up. I ask him is this how you run a business and he backtracks. Horrible experience. I found this shop through the purchase of a groupon. I brought my car in. They diagnosed my issue to be a faulty ac compressor. They allegedly did the replacement only for a couple of days later to be blowing warm air. I took the vehicle back and after hours of waiting they said I now need a new AC condenser. Guy in the office the days he will order it and Monday when it arrives he will send a worker to my home, leave a loaner vehicle and take my vehicle to replace the condenser. Bring it back to my home when it is done and I can pay over the phone. Monday turned into Thursday when I decided to stop waiting and had my vehicle towed to his location so that he can finally fix my AC. My vehicle stayed over night and Friday I picked it up, he did not fix anything and completely wasted my time. To wash his hand off this mess he refunded for the initial purchase. It still doesn't reimburse the time spent trying to fix an issue that a professional shop wouldn't fumble as bad as this shop. The man of 1000 excuses and not one solution. You have been warned. I don't know what to say except this is one of the last few ethical and good auto repair shops. I found them through Groupon and did a lot of research before going there especially being a Certified Fraud Specialist and knowing so many horror stories of auto repair shops. While I was having my car worked on I overheard Juan on the phone talking to a few different people calling up regarding pricing on different services. Juan took the time not to just give them pricing, but to ask them what problems they were having and told them that he did not want to take their money for something that would not fix the problem. He further explained how the symptoms the car was having could be a different issue. This really showed me his character and I will definitely be back. I do not give out reviews often, and I felt I needed to share my experience with others. I started looking for a mechanic for my boyfriend's Alfa Romeo as it was having some power issues which we originally thought was the alternator . After looking on Yelp for a local mechanic and emailing a few businesses for quotes , Chris from Prime Automotive was quick to get back to me and give me a quote. He was extremely forthcoming with what we thought would need to be done and kept telling me he would do a full diagnostic when he got the car to know for sure what was needed. Long story short, the car ended up needing a full tune up with ignition coils and everything. The work cost double what was originally quoted however the car is running superbly and I had no problem paying for the work as Chris was so nice, and he really worked hard to get the best parts for my budget. All future work on the car will be done here. Chris was SO professional, thorough, and kept me informed the entire day as he was working on the car. I truly appreciated his customer service especially with working on a car that needs some extra attention. Most of all, as a female who knows enough about cars to not get scammed, he did not dumb anything down and treated me with respect as a customer.
