I took my 2016 Porsche Boxster S to Prime Car Wash today for the "hand wash" (inside and out), and somewhere along the way, I'm pretty sure they swapped my car out for a newer model. This was my first visit--and now I have a problem, because I'm not going anywhere else. Walter was the lead on my car, and the guy is basically an artist disguised as a detailer. The level of attention he gave was borderline obsessive--in the best possible way. Every surface, every corner... flawless. And on top of that, he couldn't have been nicer. Professional, friendly, and clearly takes pride in what he does. I'll be requesting him every time. They've got a ton of wash and detailing options depending on how deep down the rabbit hole you want to go, and the waiting area is actually a pleasant place to hang out while your car gets pampered. Is it cheap? No. But neither is driving around in something that looks like it's been through a sandstorm. You get what you pay for--and in this case, you get your car back looking better than you remember it. Highly recommend. read more

Overly expensive cheap car wash! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY $35+ just for a regular express car wash and vacuum cleaning. (Similar to Gate, Luv, Shell) No wiping, sanitizing, no clean scents, no stain or bug removal, etc. within the interior/exterior of your car. I've been to another Prime location through a Yelp event, and subsequently visited that one again and was impressed. I recently tried this location near Fruit Cove for one of their $39 Prime washes. I was not particularly impressed. I hate that they do not post the options and prices anywhere, you have to rely on someone reciting options and numbers quickly with a line of impatient people behind you. I know it's a sales tactic, but it's very annoying. The wash itself was fine and relatively quick, but I could tell they had missed some places (like my dashboard was as dusty as when I went in). For $39 plus tax and tip, that simply can't happen. The waiting area is perfectly nice with Internet and various vending options. The staff was very friendly. read more

Had truck washed, got elite wash with added fee for mats and inside. When they said truck was done, mats were still dirty, never washed. They took it back and wiped them off, still dirty again. Asked about all the water spots on windows and streaks on truck, they said they were short staffed and no one was available to dry it so it was left out to air dry. Not happy with service. The worst detail I have ever received. To make you understand how bad of a detail, I have never written a review of anything in my 51 years until now. I felt everyone needed to know how bad this shop takes advantage of people. Sydney, who signed me up for the detail, looked the car over and charged me 375.18 and told me they would make the car look as close to new as they could make it look. All I received was a wash and vac. I was so angry when I picked up the car I actually left instead of getting mad at the kids they employ. Sydney had already left by the time I returned. I tried to speak to management and I asked to speak to an owner and was told that would never happen. The manager on the phone with me would not give me her name and told me that someone would call me back. Of course that has not happened. Please beware this is a terrible company, terrible management, and terrible owners. read more

Came in on 8/6/25 paid $80 bucks for a elite ceramic wash they didn't vacuum the back floor they left there vacuum tools in my truck when they put the leather conditioner on they didn't wipe it in left my seats and dash super slimy broke my passenger side mirror I ended up cleaning up my truck in front of them and not one person came out and helped me at all so I would not ever bring my truck back here again they are not a detail company totally lack of service. read more

On 11/08/2024 I had my SUV at Prime. When the girl pulled out she hit a concrete pole and damaged my rear passenger door. I was told to take it to San Jose Collision. They did an awful job. I have been back 3 times to SJC. Prime needs to do what is right and let me take it to another qualified collision center and pay for the repairs. This is a decent place to take your car if you want a little more than just the drive-through wash. I also like that they offer extra services up to a full detail; the packages and options are pretty flexible and convenient. You pay for convenience, but I think the price is still reasonable for the service. The staff, especially at the desk are friendly and helpful. Today I brought my car in and added the hand wax option because the whip needed a little bit extra care with all the pollen and everything right now, and she looks fantastic. Also, I have to give a shout out to Katie, my wash tech today - she did an excellent job, probably the best my car has looked after a Prime Wash visit. She was quick but she also paid attention to detail - she's the first one to actually notice the streaks left on the windshield after bringing the car out from the detail bay and took the time to get the windshield spotless. I usually have to re-clean the windshield and sometimes windows when I get back home but not today. I always throw cash in the tip box but give her a bonus, she deserves it! Reverse racism at its finest. We pull up in the interior wash garage and the guy was playing on his phone...didn't say hello to us nor did he politely direct us to the lobby he just stared at us. I felt real uncomfortable to the point I almost told my bf let's not get our interior washed here. We have a brand new perfect condition Touring Honda Hybrid model car. We come outside once finished and both front door sealants were pulled off and hanging down the window. Nobody came to us to say hey we accidentally pulled your sealants from their door edges. Nope they didn't come to us because they did it purposefully. We showed it to one of the guys and he saw how it took some elbow grease to definitely pull them apart. Never consistent. I've been coming here for 2+ years now and was even a member at one time, but it's always hit or miss. Never know if you're going to leave with a clean car or not. Always a guessing game. The last time I was there will be the Last Time. There was still areas on the exterior of my car where you can see the same dirt/grime that was there before I entered. It's as if the brushes just missed and aren't thorough enough. Then pulling in to get the interior done was another story (Elite). Sometimes they wipe clean the floor boards and sometimes they don't. Sometimes the all-weather mats look cleaner than they did and sometimes they don't. Sometimes other interior areas are wiped clean and other times they are not. The quality and workmanship of the employees definitely went downhill over the past year or so.... I decided to switch over to a Mobile car wash and detail company who comes to the house and is a lot more thorough. Costs a little more, but no guessing games of the car will be cleaned correctly or not. read more

This place is absolute joke! Josh the GM is the only good thing or person I had an experience with. I paid for their most expensive car wash which is about $42 after tax. Mind you the bombardment of Upselling they try to do it's almost criminal they basically try and sell you a real car wash after you purchase what you think is a car wash! Is it odd to feel spoiled by a car detail service? I confess my detailing job- a $39 value- came free thanks to Prime Car Wash and Yelp Elite. Perks of reviewing, sometimes you get events to try new businesses! This was one of those moments. I have driven past this place so many times and never noticed! The San Jose side is a large brick building (I don't think there are any windows) and a business name sign on the building. I believe there is a low profile sign on the corner of the connecting road too. You have to turn down the side road to enter the car wash property. Thank goodness I ignored Google Maps who wanted me to go past that road~ We pulled around and into a short line. There was a little hold up for an oversized truck that they let roll through the car wash solo. I like that they looked out for all the customers. After that we were greeted by the Sales Manager and within a minute we were pulling around for a presoak and into the car wash we went. The cars were fed thru closer than I am used to, but no need to worry- it is still timed right. Once out the other end, hook a left and then another to enter the drying and vacuum bay. You exit your vehicle and wait in the very large lounge. I was seriously impressed with the lounge- large, plenty of seating, things for kids to do, tv for hubby's to watch. Snacks, drinks and Starbucks coffee. We waited maybe 10 minutes and they were in to call us to retrieve our car. We had opted for vanilla air freshener when we checked in & you could smell that as soon as you entered the car. I believe they do a spray on (the carpet) air freshener. I used to use those a long time ago and appreciate that- I hate hanging the cardboard tacky-as-hmmm (lets not curse) on my review mirror. I don't even know where to begin this review I am beyond impressed with the high quality of job this car wash did! My car literally looks better than the day that I drove it off the showroom floor! I started with David, the sales manager who have course did his job well trying to convince me that getting the routine car wash and hand detail would be the best way to go but I said I needed to check them out first. He was by no means pushy but rather was confident in the services they provide. And I have to say he was right on target. The next person I have the privilege of dealing with what is Jimmy, I believe that was his name taller than her gentleman at the cash register. What a great sense of humor he had and he to truly believed in the work product this car wash does. Again spot on! Finally I had Josh I cannot complement him enough for the outstanding job that was done on my car. I will definitely be going back and I'm going to buy the monthly package for it's worth the drive. PRIME COMPLETELY REDEEMED ITSELF & DID AMAZING JOB ON MY WIFE'S CAR. UPDATE 3: ---------- Received a call from the manager, Josh. He could not have been nicer or more understanding. He offered to redo the work that was overlooked, but by that time, I had made all the corrections. I asked whether he could detail my wife's car & I would pay the difference. Josh put together a very generous package for clay bar & full detail on my wife's Chevy Blazer RS. He said he would personally oversee & participate in the detailing, I dropped off the car. Picked up the car in the afternoon. The car was immaculate.... The car was in showroom condition. Nothing missed. Shiny, great attention to detail. Trust restored. Will be taking my truck there in September for full detail. The mark of a good business is one that cares & goes the extra mile to prioritize customer satisfaction. After the early hiccups, Prime (manager Josh) did a great job with service recovery. Very impressed & appreciative! Updated rating to 5-star as it is well-deserved! UPDATE 2: ---------- Next business day.... No one called me. Re-texted Zac who said that the team tried to reach me. No missed calls or VMs. UPDATE 1: ---------- Was contacted via Yelp chat the next day by Zac, the owner. He stated that someone would call me the next day. ORIGINAL REVIEW: ---------- I arrived at 12:55 PM & was told by the girl taking my "order" stated that it would take 1 1/2 to 2 hours to do my car. The manager who rang me up said, "One to 1 1/2 hours." He then said, "It should be done at 2 PM." I said, "I will be back at 2 PM." I walked down the road, had lunch, & was back at 1:55 PM. I proceeded to wait until 3:40 PM when the manager finally made eye contact & I asked him whether my car was done. He said, "Yes, it's done. I didn't see you in here at 2 PM." I noted, "I have been sitting at the end of the counter since 1:55 PM & didn't hear my car being done announced overhead." He said, "Oh, sorry. I had your car done since 2 PM." So I sat there for 1 hour & 40 minutes AFTER the car was done without any announcement whatsoever that my car was completed. OK. Whatever. The detailing job (I got the highest package) still cost about $182 with a military discount & an additional $10 off coupon. I didn't have ridiculously lofty expectations that the car would be showroom quality, but I did note a general lack of attention to detail. 1. Dirty cup holder 2. The compartment behind the fuel door had been untouched & was very dirty 3. Dirty door jambs 4. Very large smudge of wax missed on rear driver's side door 5. Excess cleaner deposit on windshield above steering wheel that made it hard to see the road 6. Barely any or poor tire shine product quality in tires (no shine) 7. Driver's side floor mat essentially untouched (the dirties mar in the car for obvious reasons) 8. The plastic strip between the bottom of the windshield & the hood was still very dirty & had not been cleaned I think they did a good job of cleaning the rest of the windows & hand waxing the car. Was it worth the $182? I would be willing to give then another opportunity to do better, but for the reasons stated above, I can only give them a 3 out of 5 stars. They didn't wipe the dash at all, the navigation screen still had dust on it, the rims still had brake dust on them and the running boards didn't even look like they were touched. Paid $225 for full detail, waxing, and clay bar and walked a 1/4 of the car taking off bugs and debris with my finger. They didn't even clean under the back wiper on my glass and refused to give a refund after having my car for 6 hours. Guy told me he wasn't going to argue and not give me a refund and I disputed it with USAA my bank. These people are crooks and I highly suggest not using them. read more

I have been a long time member and I think it is important to call out a young man named Juan. On 4/6/24 I brought my wife's SUV in for an outside wash. Typically the attendants at the tent are so/so on quality but today Juan did an outstanding job and I acknowledged him. I came back four hours with my truck and Juan was still out there. I joined as a member a bit more than a month ago and have enjoyed being able to drive in and get full service on demand. The car looks fresh and new when they are done. I had a badly cleaned windshield in one visit, but I complained and since then the windows have sparkled. They have two locations, and they seem equally high quality.
