Prime Endodontics is a TOP-KNOTCH dental office. Waiting room is comfortable, and not overcrowded. They give you the upmost respect when serving you, and everything is clean and disinfected. I needed a root canal and they brought me in, took x-rays, showed me two videos on the procedure they were going to do, and Dr. Keyvan Lazar explained what he was going to do and why. I had very bad experiences in the past with other dentists, primarily because I have sensitive teeth and others do not provide enough pain relief. Dr. Lazar made it clear that I would feel no pain and made me very comfortable throughout the procedure. They provide you with a body cover and glasses so you will not get wet or dirty during the process. They isolated the tooth, so that I didn't get sensitivity from the water or air in other teeth. The doctor coached me through the process and made sure I was okay. The staff is very professional and nice to chat with. Shout out to Julia and Evelyn for helping me today. Kindness goes a long way when it comes to excellent care. I don't believe people look forward to future root canals, but if I had to get another one, I'd definitely go back to Prime with Dr. Lazar. I was given Dr. Lazar's office info and was able to get an appointment for the next day. The office and treatment rooms were clean and the staff were very pleasant and efficient. X-rays were taken and video on the procedure was shown, so far so good. i was feeling a bit nervous but felt at ease once I met Dr Lazar. He didn't rush, questions were asked and answered and exam was done. a ct scan was in order and everything he needed was right there in the office. Referred here by my dentist for an emergency root canal, my insurance co payment is $100, they scheduled an appointment and did a consultation a couple days later, only to tell me my portion would be $500 not $100 because they wanted to do an extra X-RAY scan that was not covered by my insurance. I let them know that I didn't want the extra scan, only the root canal and scans that my insurance covered. They said the scan and cost was mandatory to receive treatment. I took my referral and left, now I'm stuck with tooth pain, in need of an emergency root canal, having to find someone else on a long holiday weekend and wait more time to get it taken care of. If you need a root canal, go here! They are professionals and this is what they do. I had mine done and I must say I'm very pleased with the experience . It took about an hour to an hour and a half. I like the fact that they took additional x-rays after Dr. Lazar drilled through the roots and thoroughly clean the inside of the infected tooth. I could really see that he spent a good amount of time cleaning and checking the work before he was satisfied and sealed it up. It was a complete attention to detail with multiple x-rays and checking the canal. The operation was pretty much painless and even later that day when the numbness wore off absolutely no pain. Ive had more drama from a hang nail let alone a root canal. Dr. Lazar has root canals down to science almost looked like he was on a stroll around the park or doing a cakewalk. I have had many negative experiences in dental chairs in the past. I'm always scared when I have to go in for treatment. Over the last two weeks I had to have an old root canal redone. Dr Lazar and his staff are so nice and great, I have been needing my root canal and I was so nervous about this appointment and dreading it, but one day I decided to not let my fear overpower the root canal that i definitely needed, my experience was so great I was called me to the back about 10 mins after I got there just because I had to fill out paperwork since i was a new patient, they played videos about what would be happening during my root canal , the dr reviewed my X-rays and then we proceeded with the RC, yes the only thing that was uncomfortable like another reviewer said to was the numbing shots but that's it after that there was no pain only "pressure and vibrations" like dr lazar stated to me, the whole RC time process was about 40 mins maybe less and dr lazar was telling me everything is going to be fine because I did tell him that I was nervous but he made sure I was comfortable, they even give you glasses just so nothing splashes in your eyes, i honestly was trying so hard not to fall asleep that's how smooth the process was, also like the other reviewer said the after pain is just soreness but for myself as well its not excruciating pain it's just soreness but ibuprofen is subsiding it I honestly don't even feel like I had anything done that's how much pain I'm in I'm shocked, I super recommend this office to anyone needing to see a root canal specialist I literally walked in paid my responsibility and walked right out fast and easy. read more

Today, my regular dentist had me scheduled for a root canal. When I got there, he decided I needed to go to a specialist. I was given a piece of paper with Prime Endodontics number and I was sure I'd have to wait weeks to get in. When I called, I explained to them that I was supposed to have the root canal done today, that my dentist had sprung on me that I needed a specialist. They took me in the same day, honored my insurance, and did my root canal in under 2 hours. The dentist was such a kind and gentle man. I have major sensory issues and had an anxiety attack during the process and he and the dental assistant kept reassuring me throughout the entire time. I only had pain/discomfort during the numbing injections. I'm about 7 hours post root canal and it's tender but not unbearable. I recommend this place for anyone who needs a root canal. Best dental service ever. And I only had to pay 300, where as my normal dentist had quoted me a little under 1000.00. The 300 does not include my crown (this office doesn't make crowns, you have to return to your dentist for that) so I'm sure I'll still have to pay for that however overall I feel like the price at prime endodontics was very reasonable given that they saw me same day and didn't try to upsell me on anything else. The dentists kindness to my sensory issues was well worth the 300.00 I had to pay. read more

I start by saying I drove about 60 miles to go to Dr. Lazar for my root canals. I don't think that many people drive this far for a dental work. I can tell Dr. Lazar is the best endodontists I've ever had. He is one of the best and super meticulous. My brother is an endodontist not in this state and when he looked at his work the only thing he said that he is such a great endodontist. I used to go to Europe to my dentist for major dental work such as root canal and other stuff, but I'm happy that I found a great endodontist. Also, to mention I am terrified of dental office, however Dr. Lazar has such a gentle hand. I did not feel any pain throughout my dental work. I definitely recommend anybody who cares about their teeth to go to him even if they have to drive long way. He definitely worth it and his dental work is one of the best. I went to this place because of a referral from another dentist. upon going into the office a clerk asked for my drivers license to copy and then took out a personal camera and took a picture of me. immediately I said to her I have never known dentist offices to take pictures of patients she said we take pictures of our patients. I was not comfortable with that and is still puzzled by it. I had x-rays done of my mouth and the doctor look at the two teeth I was concern with, but no advice given and no work done, the clerk just said she would mail my report back to the other dentist and I went back home with the two tooth that were bothering me when I came into the dentist office. a week later I contacted the other dental office that did the same thing and asked the clerk did the specialist get in contact with her and she said no paperwork was sent over nothing was faxed or mailed. So the only thing I can come up with is discrimination at the best source because he is a specialist who could of did the work and called for a price from the insurer to treat the patient. I have been to several dental offices in Palmdale and not impress with the way the are treating the African American patients, my family members have been treated bad as well. Maybe it is time to report to the Dental Association and insurance department to see if others have been treated badly. Will re-write my review if I can prove different. read more

An experience with another endodontist was awful, extreme pain, no pain relievers prescribed, all dentists lived outside of Antelope Valley so couldn't get a prescription for 4 days. Let it be known: There is no place I dislike going more than a dentists office. The smell, the wait and the downtime from the procedures-even a cavity are among the factors that have led me not to go to the dentist as often as I should and hence my need for a root canal. That being said, my visit to Prime Endo changed most of that. The office is upscale and modern, the staff kind, and the doctor is a true professional who is also a professor at USC. I actually travelled over 30 miles because my dentist insisted his root canals are flawless. Upon meeting Dr. Lazar I was immediately impressed. He had a great bed side manner and was a compassionate doctor. i had lots of questions to ask and was not an easy patient during the procedure but all the while he was calm and did the job with ease. After going home Dr. Lazar called me to check in-again, great bed side manner. I first went to Dr Lazar in 2013 to get a root canal redone because I had an infection. Dr Lazar did a great job. I felt very comfortable during the procedure. Thank you DR. LAZAR!! At first I was hesitant about going to a new doctor in Palmdale, but this office and doctor were both amazing! I mean very nice and large office, tastefully decorated, I loved it! First of all, great parking, something you don't always find in the prime of the day. (And of course-close to a Starbuck's-you can't go wrong with that.) The staff was very kind and courteous but what was the greatest was how on time the doctor was. I arrived at 2:29PM and by 2:30PM I was seated in the office and a very friendly and knowledgable Dr. Lazar was in to greet me and go over any concerns I had about getting a root canal done. The surgery went well, and I can't complain about him doing ANYTHING wrong. That's how happy I am. Overall, I would refer this office to everyone!
