While we got quotes and met a number of contractors and construction companies, Carlos-Waypoint home improvement was most professional of all from the inception--providing a clear explanation of services based on the scope, transparent in dealings and meeting the timelines. Carlos is mindful of customer time and an astute professional who doesn't exaggerate and then reduces the price quote. It is apparent that Carlos has significant years of experience in remodeling the bathrooms, tile work, replacing or putting vanities or replacing lighting and faucets. He could easily draw a rough design for our 4 bathrooms, assisted in suggesting the right material for remodeling without focusing much on his own interest of increasing scope of work. Carlos and his team did a phenomenal job with lighting, tile work, putting the vanities and paint. During the work, there was leakage in one of the bathroom and being a licensed water restoration expert, Carlos was easily able to spot the problem and took appropriate steps fixing the problem making us comfortable as compared to some of the other organizations who like to panic the customer first and adopt unfair means. I would highly recommend Carlos- waypoint home improvement to anyone who is looking for skilled services , honest dealings and getting the work completed within timelines and agreed budget.

I was helping an old friend to renovate her 1960's home. I was not living in her area and did not…read moreknow any contractors in her area. I connected with IC Home Design and the owner Horia. The first job was to take down and rebuild a very old worn out deck. The job completed on time and at the price quote. The craftsmenship was impressive. I then added the ronovation of a shed used for gardening supplies. Again the workmanship and finished product was outstanding. By this point I was completely confident in the quality of work done by IC Home Design. Next was taking up an old kitchen floor with several of flooring including old 4 x4 tile. IC Home Design quickly removed flooring and prepared the surface for new wall to wall tile which he also installed. I wanted the new kitchen cabinets to sit on the new tile. Ultimately he installed the new cabinets and finished off the kitchen install including new appliances, replacing a window with rotted wood and adding some additional electrical outlets. Next up IC Homes completely updated a secondary bathroom and then total renovated the master bathroom. Later IC Home found a floor refinisher to sand down the original hardwood floors and stain the floors which looked like new when he finished. All this activity took place while my eldery friend was still living in the home. Horia was very considerate of her living in the midst of all this mayhem and did little things to help her manage her way thorugh it all. I can't speak highly enough of the the quality of work done by Horia and his company I C Home Design. He is a true craftsemen who is a finished carpenter and knows how home construction should be done. His background includes new home construction and several cerifications that are important to home renovations. He is always a gentleman and a thoughful person. i you are looking for the extra low prices IC Home Design probably is not your contractor but if you want work that you can be proud of Horia and IC Home Design is a wonderful contractor to chose for your projects.

I wish I could say he did some of that amazing work for me, but it's a weird story: Our annoying HOA forces us to keep appearances up with our neighbors. Everything has to be just so, and our windows needed to be energy efficient. Our windows already looked great, but I have to abide by the HOA or else. So I called up Dave to get a quote on how much it would cost to upgrade the windows. We had a great conversation, he knew the area, and the sort of job, and like I said, he was an absolute pleasure to talk to. We picked a day, and he said he'd check it out and give me a quote. After he went out there to take a look, he asked if I wanted to the good news or the bad news. The Good News: The windows were already super energy efficient. He knows because he had put them in himself for the previous tenant a few years back. What a coincidence! The Bad News: He wasn't going to make any money on this job. Which, if you're paying attention, you may realize was also really good news for me. Dave could've just straight up done the job again and made more money (as some dishonest folks would've), but instead but he got a laugh out of me, and a customer for life. As with every type of appointment for construction services you normally enter into a conversation hesitant wondering who is this guy, and will he give me a good price, a good job, stand behind work, or just give me a crappy job and run with my money, never to be heard from again. We've all heard the stories. Dave arrived at my home, introduced himself and we talked at great length about our siding project, and he did a walk around the home just to evaluate the job. He came back in, did a little figuring on a piece of paper, and gave us a price on the spot. While we knew not what to expect about the cost, we were somewhat surprised as it seemed a little over what we had budgeted. We talked a little longer and he explained in great detail what was needed and what he was going to do, he explained the funding and how it would work and he left. We thanked him for his time, his explanations, and his proposal and told him we would be in touch. After Dave left my wife and I sat down and discussed the project, the cost, and the timeline, as we wanted to get the project done before September this year. You know that everyone says, "Never take the first proposal, get prices, get multiple proposals, etc". We didn't know what it was exactly, but my wife and I both felt really good about our visit with Dave and so we decided to call him back the next day and enter into a contract. Not to make this review to long, the project was scheduled and actually took place a week earlier than expected. Dave anticipated a 5 day project, and they finished up in 4 days. His guys were like busy bees, only stopping for a 30 minute lunch break each day. Very professional, knew their profession, and did not need constant oversite. Dave's supervisor on the job Louis knew the job and knew the timeline and was sure to make it happen. While Dave was on the site almost every day, I think he thinks of himself as the cleanup crew picking up and taking garbage almost every day. There was no language barrier between the workers and me, and everyone on the job was eager to please. Dave made every effort to assure that the finished project was worthy of our praise, even adding a few things not originally negotiated in the contract. While the project was not considered a large project, it had alot of intricate details that took extra time to work around. My wife and I cannot express enough our level of satisfaction with Dave and his guys. They did what they said they would do, and most likely more that we didn't even know about. Great job, great contractor, and great value for the money. The project was worth every penny spent. I see now why much of Dave's business is return customers. We would/will certainly use him again if the need arises. Not to lengthen this review longer I would only like to add, that Dave is human, he is not a robot and his speech is not rehearsed. We learned alot about his family, his dogs, etc. and we felt he was true to form, just a good guy to work with. Highly recommend. In the end, I had to remove everything down to the subfloor but I am so happy that I did because I will now avoid years of continuously having to repair a bad floor. Bill worked with me to pick the best floor tile for the design and price I wanted. He also met with my new contractor to make sure the floor would be installed correctly. It was such a good experience as a customer that I went back to get my counter and backsplash tiles. From the first day these people came to our house it was not good. On the first day they stole my (expensive) flashlight and when confronted the next day, he said oops, one of the guys took it home thinking it was trash. Then as the work continued they cracked the foundation, broke our stone in 3 different places, and they tacked the wires outside the house in crazy lines, none straight and drilled holes in my brand new siding. They said it would take a week, 2 1/2 weeks later they still have not cleaned up their trash from my deck, there has been a huge pile of construction trash and we have not seen them in weeks. The siding is ok, but the seams are very noticable (unlike our neighbors) and looks sloppy. I have pics if this website lets me. I would not hire them again. On the other hand, i think they outsourced the deck work they did because those guys were the opposite..... very fast, very good work. I am awaiting word from them to see what they are going to do about cracking my stone and foundation, I will up my rating if they fix the problems they made, because i know mistakes happen, its about how you fix your problems. read more

After the horrible and stressful event that took place from the flooding of our basement I thought that the stress would never end... After receiving a few estimates & doing some research; I decided it would be best to go with Prime Home Improvements to repair all the extensive damage from the floor, to the molding, trim, painting of the walls ect. I am so pleased that I chose them. Their estimator Rob was very professional and compassionate to the damage that occurred. The estimate was very reasonable for the damage which needed repair. From start to finish the workers were professional, prompt & exceeded my expectations. I was impressed with how clean they kept the work area. I can't stress how great they were and how pleasant they made this situation. We had Prime Re-roof our home in Scarsdale . We had several contractors give us an estimate but what set prime apart was that they were not trying to sell us the roof. The educated us on the process of doing the roof and my wife and I felt very secure with the Rep Ron and the company . A day later we received a very detailed proposal and the price was very good. Prime did everything they said they were going to do and more so happy we called them. We are planning on doing our siding in the summer and Prime is at the top of the list. I hired prime to do an addition on our House in Yonkers. The company is by far one of the most professional in the industry. We wanted to hold off on redoing the whole roof at that time so Don said that he could make some minor repairs that would keep us safe for at least a year.
