Unfortunately the people who come here have birthday parties on weekly take over the grassy areas and leave so much garbage behind, bathrooms are left filthy. I always come on Sunday mornings and bring a trash bag to help clean the park up as I live across the street and the garbage bring back coyotes and possums. Hilda Solis Thomas Burton park has seen better days and we should have an AED Device for emergencies as we do have many older citizens who visit this park. Many parks outside of your district have this feature.

The park is well taken care of and very clean, which I really enjoyed. The only downside is that there isn't much shade in this park. I would have given it five stars if it weren't for the sun beating down on us. But I think it would be a great spot to check out in the morning before the sun comes out. PLAYGROUND: There is a playground that appears to be well-maintained. There were also workout equipment such as pull-up bars scattered throughout the park. RESTROOMS: There are restrooms available. I only saw one building, but it was well taken care of and stocked with soap and toilet paper. DOG- FRIENDLINESS: This park is extremely dog-friendly. When I arrived there were about 15-20 dogs. It was great that the park provided waste bags for dogs.

Love the fact the parking is close to the park entrance and several co-located picnic benches for those with mobility issues. There was a small rose garden along the walking path in front of the stage, with built in benches around it in case you need a seat. Lots of beautiful open grass space, incredible playground, and impressive an coffee stand. This is what our communities look like when we invest in them. Great job La Puente local government and residents. You all rock! The basketball courts looked fun as well! When I enrolled my child in the Parent and Me class, I specifically asked whether both parents could attend. I was clearly told yes. I was also informed the class would be held at the playground. When we arrived at the playground, no one was there. I had to call to find out the class was actually being held inside. After going inside, the instructor informed us that only one parent was allowed to attend. Roxanna then referenced the flyer and stated that "Parent and Me" meant only one parent, insinuating that I misunderstood or could not read it correctly. I have attended many Mommy and Me and Parent and Me classes in the past, and when only one parent is allowed, it is clearly specified on the flyer. This flyer did not state that limitation. She then told me that I should have contacted Tiny Tots directly for information rather than relying on the front desk. This was my first time visiting this park. There was no way for me to know that the information provided by staff was incorrect or that it was my responsibility to verify it elsewhere. The conflicting information, poor communication, and dismissive attitude made this a very frustrating and disappointing experience. I hope staff receive better training so families are given accurate information and treated respectfully.

I am always on the hunt for a park with a good walking trail as I have been spoiled with padded tracked parks. One loop is about 0.6 miles. The park also has a community center for classes and renting meeting rooms, along with several tennis courts. There is a small playground area on the upper level. Parking is plentiful. Overall, I will come back again if in the area.

Beware there are rattlesnakes and coyotes that you may come across but leave them be and you'll survive. Don't feed the coyotes because they'll come back to the area for food where you're not there and potentially prey on other unsuspecting peeps.

The older kids playground has wood chips, a playground and 2 kid swings. There is also 1 baby swing, and 1 disability swing. Lots of parking spots, walking distance to the playground. And picnic tables that you can move for birthday parties/ events. I saw 7 available outlets, under the gazebo.
