Prime Time was recommended by our A/C repair guy who said it was a good company with a father & son team. We set up an appointment for an estimate the next day (Saturday) and met with Asiel. He told us that they could install a new unit (air handler and condenser unit) as early as Monday or Tuesday (it's been a while and I don't exactly remember which date he said). They require a 50% deposit and the remainder upon completion. We set up a date for install and gave them a deposit. There were 2 guys who showed up the morning of to work on the unit. They had a good system going with one installing the condenser unit outside and the other one installing the air handler inside. It was about a 7 hour job. On January 27, 2020, the A/C compressor stopped working. I immediately checked Yelp for reviews on reputable A/C repair company. First review I saw was from my community manager, Blue A., who gave the company 5 stars. I contacted them and they came out to my house the same day. They installed a new capacitor $189, with a 3-month warranty on the part. On January 31st, 2020, the A/C compressor stopped working again, we called them and they came out the same day. This time it was the motor. they replaced the motor $450 with 1-year warranty. On April 15, 2020, again the A/C compressor stopped working. We called them again and they came the same day. This time was a different guy than the last two times. He didn't seem to know the problem so he called the company. They diagnosed the problem as the "mother board" needed to be replaced. The visit was $89.95. (Fee would be waived with the repair. The mother board was quoted at $375 minus the fee. Today Michael came and as soon as he went upstairs to the adaptor, the A/C started working. He called the company and told them that it is not the mother board. Apparently, once he went outside to the compressor, it was the run capacitor they had installed before that was causing the shut down. Michael changed it and now it's working. I was not charged for this. Communication was great in all three visits. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company. read more

He came to my house and did the the themostat dance about it being bad with me too. Then he whips out the motor, so your stuck. I'm talking about a three year old Rheem ac unit, not an old unit. TLDR: Quick and professional. I now have icicles in my nose, of how cold my house is! _________ I'm a bear. I like to be really cold when I hibernate (sleep). I also work from home - so it's important to keep my office/home at a comfortable temperature all day long. After a few days of the AC simply not getting to the temperatures I wanted, I called my original AC guy from when I lived in Plantation. He's always been super up front. He diagnosed the problem over the phone and told me it's likely my coil leaking. He told me he doesn't do replacements anymore, but Prime Time Cooling was a company he trusts. I called them up. The young lady on the phone was super nice. Appointment set for a few hours from then. Randy called me about an hour later and said he could arrive sooner than my appointment because his scheduled cleared - but no pressure. Hell yes. Come ASAP. He diagnosed the problem. Told me my options. Explained what it would cost. And I agreed to get the work done. It was a pretty penny, especially for a brand new unit. But. South Florida and the heat is on. I cut my loses and said, let's do it. There was a coil leak. Damn. The coil was under warranty, luckily, so I saved some mula there. He took it and came back with a new one and cold air was pumping. That night I slept comfortable, but not freezing. I was worried. All next day the house didn't get super cold. I freaked out. I called to set a follow up and to my surprise they offered to come by between 9pm and 11pm, if I wanted. Wow. It was about 8pm at this point, I was floored they'd be available this late. I set the appointment. Randy was the one to come out again. Late at night. And flustered because he thought the system was still messed up. He took some temp reads - he checked the freon - and ultimately my thermostat needed to be reset. It wasn't reading right, so didn't allow the house to cool. I also changed the filter from an expensive thick one, to a thinner, but still good filter. I think this helps the air flow better, as the unit can suck up air easier. a few days later and I'm typing this from my bed. In a blanket. Cause it's so cold in here. At Noon, when it would normally be a little hot. DREAMS DO COME TRUE. read more

I called them for an AC tune-up special. I like the fact that they only do air conditioning services and not in the plumbing and electrical like the others are. They arrived on time and were very professional and very honest. Knowing my AC unit is over 11 years old I was hoping to get a little bit more out of it. They cleared the plugged drain and got everything back up and running and told me to better start saving for a new unit now. I will most likely use them to install my replacement unit! read more

Full disclosure. I called this company earlier today because I had an emergency, and my normal service team was not available. I have to say, if I didn't already have a company I'm committed to, I'd go with this firm. Not only was the person handling dispatch thorough with the questions needed to assess the issue, he was super helpful and understanding of my difficulties in tracking down our usual team. He was courteous, was able to accommodate my timings and not only that, they send updates on arrival with texts - and true to form, they were right on time. Unfortunately, my other guys showed up unexpectedly ahead of Prime Time, and I had to cancel the appointment - creating no end of trouble for them I'm sure. When I called to cancel, Prime Time had every right to be annoyed - but they weren't and the service alone means that when I need to recommend a company, this is one I will most definitely promote. Had to clean out the coils on my AC unit so I called a few places give me an estimate on the job. I received four quotes from four different companies and some were booked for over a week. One company, I felt like they had an attitude as if they don't need my business. Smh... Even though PTC's quote was a bit more than the others (since I'm a first time customer), I chose PTC because they were the friendliest of them all and they were accommodating enough to squeeze me into their busy schedule. Plus, they were able to work on Saturday, on my day off. Upon arrival, the technician was courteous. He was professional, took his time to examine and explain the problem and assured me that he'll resolve the leaking. He showed me all the dirt, gunk, that had been accumulated on the coils and cleaned it out with acid. Once he was done with the cleaning, he put the unit back together and it is running fresh again. Airflow was much better, the air runs cooler than before, and no more leak! Great job! Lastly, they had a special going on which was a voucher and I was able to save $35 for any service. Also, they didn't try to up sell me on purchasing a new unit. My unit is old from 98 when the home was built. They told me the unit still looks pretty good, just need coil cleaning. Definitely appreciate the honesty here. In the future, I'll have them service my AC unit if something comes up. They offer discounts for returning customers. I couldn't be more happy with Prime Time Cooling! We just moved into a new house and we had a WIFI thermostat that was registered to the prior owner and kept turning off and on and I wasn't able to change the schedule to reflect what we needed. They came out the next day, with text updates, which I appreciate because people are busy and I don't always answer the phone for numbers I don't know. Should be ZERO stars, but not an option. Started off like they would be good, said he could be here the same day to fix my AC drain clog. Unfortunately, come to find out my building's cooler towers were down so there wasn't a point in him coming until they were fixed. Towers weren't up until 4:30 PM. I called to see if he was going to come then (original appt set for 4-6) he said yes or he could come the next morning between 10 and 12. Decided on the next morning (being today). I explicitly told him that workers would only be allowed on site today before 1:00 so he reasserted the 10-12 window. Well now it's after 1:00 and he never showed - never even bothered to call to say he couldn't make it, or was running late. Doesn't seem to matter to him, that because of the holiday no workers are allowed into my building until next Monday (so if he had informed me that he couldn't make it I would have called someone else). But he didn't, so now I won't have AC for a week. No skin off his nose, I guess. Save your money and call a company that will keep their appointment! Or at the very least be professional enough to call and tell you that they can't make it. All I can do is warn others so I will! Stay away! read more

From the answering of my phone call to the technician evaluating my air condition my experience was great with Prime Time Cooling. I contacted Prime Time for a second opinion after Air America did a routine maintenance and advised me I need to replace the coils in my air handler and or charge the system with 5 lbs of Freon at a cost of $1421.00. Michael from Prime Time rechecked the system and determined that the Freon was not low and that I did not need to replace the coils. He also found extra filters stuck inside my unit and damage caused by Air America. Based on this experience I would highly recommend Prime Time. I will use them for all future AC work. They not only quoted a fair price, they showed me that the job was much smaller than these guys said. My AC wasn't functioning properly on a Sunday, when I requested a quote via Yelp, the business owner Asiel promptly replied and informed me that emergency service fee is $149. I declined considering I knew the repair/parts might be costly in it of itself, so I decided to wait until Monday. He was so kind and patient in our communications and set up a technician to come out to me between 5pm-7pm on Monday. Luckily the technician Robert was able to come out even earlier around 3pm and resolved the issue super fast! Literally in less than an hour. He was honest and straight forward and wasn't trying to rip me off or scam me with unnecessary repairs/parts. He's coming back out on Thursday to do a thorough cleaning of the unit and while it is going to cost me a bit more it's definitely worth it. I contacted Prime Time Cooling on a Thursday evening with a broken air conditioner. My husband is handy and thought he had fixed the air, but when the air shut off it would not restart. So our 14 year old A/C unit finally died last Thursday morning. It just so happen to be the highest recorded temperature in Fort Lauderdale for July so we were desperate to fix it and fast! We had used Prime Time Cooling once before to clean our coils and also clean our air ducts. They were on time and their prices were very reasonable not to mention their technicians are friendly and respectful. I called Asiel in the morning and he had a technician out within 2 hours to look at the broken A/C. Apparently the motor on the outside unit had died over night and needed to be replaced. They could have easily looked at the age and told me to replace the entire unit rather than try and fix it. The technician called in the part which they had in stock. He picked up the part, replaced the motor and all looked well. Unfortunately the condenser, due to the fact that the fan was not running overnight, had over heated and would also need to be replaced. After speaking with Asiel I decided because the unit was already 14 years old and had been fixed numerous times in the past it was a good time to purchase a completely new unit. I was quoted a very fair price for a brand new quality unit. He insisted that the money I spent on the motor replacement and labor would be used towards the new unit. They also offer interest free financing given we had a decent credit score! They ordered the unit, a 3 ton 14 seer Rheem, and scheduled the install for Saturday morning. The technicians came on time again and installed both inside and outside units within 5 hours. They went above and beyond making sure the concrete slab was put back inline, the outside unit was mounted to the slab with vibration reducers between, cleaned up all the pipes and replaced the insulation. The inside unit was also installed very cleanly. The technician Kenneth showed me the work and gave me the details for filter replacement and maintaining the unit. We had working A/C Saturday at 2pm! These guys are honest and top notch. We now have a new unit with a 10 year warranty. Also Prime Time Cooling will be back twice within a year for free to ensure the unit is working as it should. I am very happy with their work ethic, cleanliness, and overall product delivery. I highly recommend them. read more
