I wasn't familiar with Primeau Auto Body when I was rear-ended on Route 787, but thanks to their proximity to my home, the fact that they took my insurance (and a glowing review from my mother-in-law), I took my car there for the extensive body work required. I spoke to three people on the staff when I dropped the car off; each of them was exceedingly friendly and helpful. When I got the call that the repairs were completed (surprisingly, less than a week later), my car looked as though it were brand new; the repaired areas were indistinguishable from the untouched ones (and, as a pleasant surprise, the entirety of the interior of the care was expertly detailed at no cost). If you need your vehicle fixed go somewhere else. I've been here 3 times and they still didn't fix the issue. Now I have to go to the Jeep dealership to have my jeep fixed. The hours here are the worst and parking is non existent. They left one of my tires loose and said I must've done something to it. This autobody shop is top notch which explains why they have been in buisness for so many Year. Family owned and operated since 1984. I had goten into a front end accident and my issurence company recomended this shop to me. I delt with George and he was very personable and highly professional. His first assessment of the damage to the car was spot on. The shop delt directly with not only the issuance company but also setting me up in an inexpensive rental car while mine was tied up. They gave an inicial assessment of two weeks for repairs and the car was ready to be picked up in a week and a half. They also gave me $100 off my deductible. Considering the highly stressful circumstances the entire process was smooth sailing. When I pick up my car it had been fully waxed and most of the preexisting scratches to the paint has been buffed out. Car to B painted in various spots, short of a total paint job. Had to bring back 3 times to fix primer bleeding through, dirt under the paint, hair in the fresh paint. Had to add more money to do the final fix. They advised their mistakes were mainly due to fluorescent lighting in body shop provides poor light to see problems. Later found more spots with dirt under paint. Didn't go back as i had to pay additional $ to do the last fix. I would rate the paint job as fair, and their facilities and abilities as fair. They do work cheap but u prob get what u pay for. read more

I am not remotely exagerrating when I tell you this. My car was sent to Primeau to be fixed. 4x they had it. Four different times. They did the most awful paint job I have ever seen. They forgot to put my inspection sticker back on. They scratched my headlight. Refused to give me a work order stating they didnt have one. George told me that my car fell off their rack and broke one of their employees legs! He also said him putting the rock guard all the way up the step in, "other people like it!" I didnt. It looked nothing like the other side. The rock guard was dripping and dried drops under the car. The car was missing a bolt underneath it. They replaced my windshield with a scratch in it the first time. They drove my car over 700 miles when they had it (proof time stamp phone picture) My door is completely unsafe, the door hinged is shimmed? (that is what other body shops told me)( two other body shop people also pointed out stuff i didnt see, and they said in another words "who the he** did this job" its not on secure or aligned. A danger to me. Unbelievable right? But its true. Please dont go there, the DMV is investigating them now, for me, because it just isnt a customer being picky, I have grounding for this. So PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THEM. Please have someone look over their work, if you dont pay attention or have some other body shop go over it, it may be superficial work, and not see all the flaws. Please do that, please dont end up in the place I am at. read more
