Joe argued with me that it cost more than he quoted me to fix the bumper and asked me to pay an additional $700 to "cover his costs." I reluctantly agreed and paid him $1,900 to put a new bumper on my car. He gave me the keys and told me where my car was parked. I went to retrieve my car and ALL OF MY PERSONAL BELONGINGS WERE MISSING FROM THE CAR. I asked the mechanic who was there where my items were and he told me that Joe told him that the car was his now and that I had already sold the car to Joe and that he threw away everything that was in the car. I said are you kidding me, I never sold my car to him. The mechanic told me "well, Joe told me that you already sold the car to me and I thought this car was mine." THEY TOOK MY PLATES OFF THE CAR, TOOK MY REGISTRATION OFF MY CAR, CLEARED OUT MY GLOVE COMPARTMENT (THREW AWAY MY REGISTRATION AND INSURANCE INFORMATION) AND ALL OF MY PERSONAL BELONGINGS (JUMPER CABLES, CLOTHES, BAG OF TOOLS, BOX OF K-CUPS AND RECEIPTS I HAD IN THE CAR). I noticed that the registration was missing from the car and again asked the mechanic about this. I told him that it's illegal to remove the registration from someone's car. He told me again "Joe told me that you sold him the car, I thought the car was mine. He was talking about having dealer plates on the car and it is very likely he was using my car for personal use. I WAS SHOCKED!!! I should have called the police right then, but was just in a state of shock and left with my car. Later that day I was looking at the new bumper they put on my car and THEY PUT A BROKEN, CRACKED AND SCRATCHED USED BUMPER ON MY CAR. I called Joe and told him that all my personal belongings were missing from the car (he responded by saying if you think items are missing from your car then you should file a claim with your insurance company), I told him that you also took my registration off of the car and threw away everything that was in my glove compartment (he responded by saying "you sold me your car"), I told him I never sold you my car, that's a lie, you work in the auto industry and you know you never had a bill of sale or a signed title, what you did was illegal, I told him and to top it off you put a broken, cracked and scratched used bumper on my car and I would like to come back by your shop and get my money back (he responded "You wanted me to put a used bumper on your car and I don't have any of your money") I said that's another lie, I gave you $1,900 and why would I pay you to put a broken and cracked bumper on my car? I said there are two ways we can go about this, I can come down to your store and you can give me the money back or I can take you to court (he responded "I don't have any of your money - do what you think you have to do). That same day I filed a police report with the Green Island police department. The police were shocked by everything that I shared with them and said you need to take him to court and sue him. I will be taking Joe to court to get my money back.

This place was recommended to me so I had good expectations. They gave me an estimate to fix my…read moreson's car- I don't know if it was a good price as I did not shop around as I was going through cancer treatment. They mentioned they had a military discount- for a $4000 plus bill I think it was maybe $100- so around 2%. The repair seemed ok-hood and driver front damage. Weeks later, I realized they never installed nor returned the sticker to hold the hood up. Again, I was going through chemotherapy so I was not checking and my son never mentioned anything. Today, months later, I was going to add some hood hydraulic struts as the only way to keep the hood open safely is with someone holding it. To install the struts, you have to remove two bolts that hold the hood to the hinge and the secure the strut hardware. Both bolts sheared when I went to remove them with a regular 1/2 drive ratchet- remember I am recovering from chemo and radiation so I probably have the strength of a 14 year old right now. The hood would have been removed and repaired and then reinstalled with the bolting and I assume tightened with an impact to the point where they can never be used again. This is a 12 mm ( about 1/2 inch head) and was way overtorqued to the point that they both sheared from normal hand removal. I now have to extract the two broken bolts before I can continue. The videos for the hydraulic struts demonstrate that they can be installed in minutes. I am going to have to extract two bolts with someone holding the hood- what a sh*tshow. Also, my son's car had some normal scratches that could have been easily buffed out. They did not buff these out. I have never seen that before from an auto body shop. Overall, I would say the repair was below average especially since they kept the hood support. I would not recommend this place.

And they were great at dealing with my insurance company and helping things to move smoothly and quickly after an accident.
