This is the only place I trust when it comes to getting my haircut. But unfortunately they're always so packed, or they're short staffed. So basically you wait 3hrs for a haircut and wait inside, or you put your name down, in hopes that they'll actually call you in, cause sometimes they don't. Super happy with my beard trim. Will definitely be going back to get it cleaned up again. A friend of mine recommended Connor after getting a hair cut and beard trim. I'm bald but still like to keep a heavy stubble so I don't look like an overgrown man-child. I've never had my beard trimmed by a barber before, I was interested in it but figured I did a pretty good job on my own. I made an appointment for the next week and the wait time was minimal after I showed up. After having a pro do his thing, I realized that I did no where close to the detail that Connor did. It looked so much better than when I do it at home. He took his time and the lines were incredibly clean. Knowing that this place is in demand I have not found any best day or time to visit. However, after my last 2 attempts at a haircut here I will not be going back. Day 1 - I poked my head in and virtually all of the seating had people waiting. I decided to go around the corner for lunch, and then try again. I came back, and there didn't seem to be any letup in the wait - so, I just left. Day 2- I returned the next week, and the same drill. The waiting was full, but they encouraged me to put my name on the list. I again went to lunch, and came back. I took a seat to wait for my name to be called. Chair after chair eventually became available, and my name was never called, so again, I just left, but after this time I will not be going back. As I wrote in my first review, they do a first-rate cut, but after being rebuffed twice, I will find another option, of which there are many. Too bad, because after significantly enthusiastically over tipping with my first visit I had hopes of becoming a regular at Primetime. On the UP side - I did get to visit 2 different lunch spots in downtown Dixon, and was able to review them! read more

This is as good a place as any to get a haircut in Dixon. Steady stream of customers which means they know what they are doing. I miss the original owner, but the new guys seem capable too. UPDATE: last time I went, it was Saturday afternoon. I called ahead about the hours and was told they close at 4pm. I was there at 3.30 and they had already left. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Prime time barber shop is a nice little but big shop(do big things with hair) we live in sacramento and my husband has been coming here for about 5 years he is a very piky man he went thru about 4 barbers before findind ED and TEE. We come here everyweek and everytwo weeks we bring our nephew. they are very good and calm with kids they wont let u leave unsatisfied.. Not only do they make it comfortable for my husband and nephew but also for my daughter and myself. Primetime has been my husband's go to barbershop for the last six years or so, or had been until recently. He went in on a Thursday and they told him they were booked for the day, the next day he went and they told him to put his name on the list and they would call before 8:00 pm. Well, they never called! The final time was the very next day, Saturday, he went in the morning and they told him appointments only so my husband explained to them that his daughter was getting married that day and he would be walking her down the aisle to give her away. They didn't say a word! Nice taking care of a regular customer guys!! Won't be back!! read more

New to town and took my son in, best experience ever for my son, normally cries and will not stay still, but the barber who I think is the owner of the shop, took the time to talk to my son offered him a lollipop and showed him pictures on the wall . Defiantly made my son a Little more relaxed. Even thou it's a men shop. I felt comfortable being their. The shop is clean and has a sports theme, love the tv's on the wall. Friendly atmosphere, reasonable prices and most important - consistently great cuts. I've gone elsewhere and found none better. It is a small business and therefore do "adjust" closing hours when slow (pretty rare). I call ahead and tell them when I plan to be there and they either tell me yes or no.
