I requested a full removal of builder gel, a trim back down to my natural nail length, and then a regular gel polish. The removal itself was fine, but I did feel a little uneasy because the technician using the electric drill was frequently looking away from my nails while the drill was still pressed down. Once the gel color was applied, I asked for what I thought was a fairly simple leaf design. The first attempt unfortunately looked very messy and uneven--almost like a child had drawn the leaves. I ended up waiting for another technician to finish her client so she could redo the design. The second tech did improve it, but the process took much longer than expected. Overall, the solid color gel application was fine, but it seems like more practice may be needed for nail art designs.

When I finally got seated, I told the black barber that I just wanted a shorter version of my current cut. He immediately took his electric clippers and shaved the left side of my hair almost to the skin. I was shocked! It was like he was giving me a white not d feed ase. I thought told him to stop and I got out of the chair. He was gracious and didn't charge me, so I went to Supercuts where I was seen immediately and got a salvage job. The first time, I called to see if they could push back my appointment, but the lady couldn't because she had an appointment right after mine, which is completely understandable. The second time I came in, it was a waiting game. I understand they were really busy since it was commencement weekend, but it seemed very unprofessional to not let me know how late they were running, especially since it was almost an hour. No one apologized or let me know I would be waiting more than just a few minutes. I rushed in because I did not want to be late and had I known I would be waiting 50 minutes, I probably would have stopped to eat or buy a drink before coming here. Anyways, I liked the makeup they did. It was exactly what I asked for. But the haircut was not. For reference, my hair was very long before, past my butt, and now it is barely below my shoulders. I kept reiterating that I did not want it short, and that is exactly what I got. I also wanted my hair in layers, and it is barely in two layers, not what I wanted unfortunately. Now I have to wait another two plus years to grow it out again. (Paid $252 this second time) I think the person in charge could definitely be more professional. He is also the one who washed my hair the second time I went in, and I honestly do not think he knew what he was doing. Not only did a lot of water get in my ears, but my back got really wet, and he forgot to remove my towel. I probably would not come back here.

This place used to be decent, but it's gone way down hill. The past two cuts I've gotten have been disastrous. And it's way more expensive than it used to be. I'm a man with longer hair. I always ask for the same thing at every barbershop: trim and keep the layers. Supercuts has completely messed up this simple request twice in a row. Last time, the stylist merged my layers together, leaving two clearly visible 'tiers' of hair. This time, the stylist deleted the layers entirely, effectively giving me a bowl cut. Even worse, one side was about an inch longer. Not only are the haircuts bad, they cost almost $40 after tip.
