I came into this location last Tuesday and got an Asian lady with a mustache who jabbed the heck out of my arm. It stung the entire time and she was moving the needle around each tome she switched the tubes and I told her it hurt and she just said "Well these things just hurt sometimes" I was trying to be tough and so I was nice and didn't complain. When I left my entire arm was bothering me for the whole day, especially the point where she drew blood and it was still sore and itchy all day the next day. It's now Friday and my bicep is still incredibly sore and I still have a bruise where she drew blood. I hope she is more caring and gentle with her future customers. I don't want to ever go back to this location because of her. Other than that my experience was fine before she drew blood.

And obviously sending a 10-second cancellation text would've been reckless--can't risk smudging the polish. Priorities. Thankfully, I found another mobile phlebotomist who accomplished what apparently requires supernatural abilities: she answered her phone AND showed up--with less than 30 minutes' notice. Apparently reliability isn't a superpower after all--it just requires basic professionalism. And Houdini? Still missing. No apology, no explanation, no acknowledgment whatsoever. Luckily, that's one disappearing act I'm perfectly happy never seeing the encore to. Apparently the "mobile" part of mobile phlebotomy means you'll be the one running all over town trying to find someone who actually shows up. If you're looking for reliability, communication, or basic common courtesy, I'd suggest making all three disappear from your expectations before booking with OC Coastal Mobile Phlebotomy. When I called to set up the appointment, this was the soonest they could get me in - a week out. I called every day that week to see if there were any cancellations for me to get in sooner. No luck, but totally fine. The morning of my appointment, I received a voicemail at 8:04 from Laurie saying the tech did a "call out" and they wouldn't be able to see me. I called back immediately. The guy on the phone said there was nothing they could do. I asked to speak to Laurie directly... he denied having a "Laurie" work at the office at all. At this point, I was very frustrated - I had already waited a week (in pain) and called every day to get in sooner. The man offered to reschedule me at the San Clemente location for the following Friday. I would have to wait another full week to get my MRI done. From a customer service standpoint, I have a few issues with the San Clemente Memorial Care Imaging Center. 1) Why do you only have one tech working to service MRI's? When people are injured or sick, they need prompt attention. To cancel a whole day's worth of MRI's because a tech called out sick isn't a smart (or ethical) business practice. 2) If I am getting notified of a cancellation 45 minutes before my scheduled appointment, I expect your front desk staff to reschedule me as soon as possible. Having to wait a full week due to an error on your part is ridiculous. As it is, I am having to drive 45 minutes from my home to visit the imaging center in Newport Beach as they were the only clinic that could get me in sooner. The San Clemente location should be doing everything in their power to get me in and make this right. I am beyond frustrated with the San Clemente Memorial Care Imaging Center.
