This is LEGIT Mexican food! Great quality, big quantity, very reasonable prices! When I'm here I don't feel like I'm eating at a restaurant, I feel like I'm eating at a family members home, like eating a home cooked meal. I love eating here and telling my friends about it! We went here for the first time last Friday. We ate from the mexican menu and the food was good. But the best part is how friendly the staff was. Our waitress was super nice and the owner came out and sat by us and talked and played with out kids. We really enjoyed it and will definitely go back. read more

Authentic yummy Mexican food with nice people. Being someone from the west, it's certainly not the best Mexican food I've ever had but for this area, it was great! I love their burrito supreme and luncheon chicken fajita! They actually have a fresh CORN tortilla I love. No other Mexican place around here has it. Although I wish they have better more ingredients packed pico but still love their food. Beans so yummy too. Only thing, food can be sometimes pretty slow. Complete rip off! Literally charged me $13.95 for 5 ravioli. Apparently in this place they charge you for the bread and side salad unlike most restaurants who provide that complimentary. This is the second time I've been let down by this establishment. Last time we went there I was with three other people and I sat at the table for 20 mins with no food while everyone else was practically finished with their dinner by the time they brought out my riggies. Then I still had to pay for it and they thought a piece of cake would justify such inconvenience. This place is a disgrace, not to mention the flies everywhere in the kitchen and take out area. One of best ever mexican food I ever had. I work in New York City and live in Jersey City, I have had lot of mexican food for years. Labor day long weekend, I and my wife were travelling upstate NY and stopped here for dinner. The place is family run business and serves Italian and Mexican food. The food is so fresh and delicious, plus served like home cooked food. We definitely recommend this place. read more

My husband and I have been here twice now. We've driven by several times and finally decided to stop for dinner. We are very glad we did. Tico's looks like a really small place and it is, but the food is great and we love to support small businesses. Its location is less than 10 minutes from Fort Drum, which is convenient for us as we will most likely be eating there often. The menu is large with several options, combos, and a kids menu. If you're curious, they do not serve alcohol; they do deliver for a $25 minimum. We eat in and the interior is quite small with only about six tables and bar-like seating around the perimeter. It is VERY casual and we love sitting next to the gas fireplace. I noticed that they have outdoor seating, so we look forward to that in the warmer months. Service is fast and friendly. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and served chips and salsa. My husband loves the steak burrito al carbon and I love the Mexican tacos. The portions are huge, so be prepared to eat. We've been on both Friday and Saturday nights and only had one other table occupied. This place is great and you should most definitely try them out for yourself! read more

Since moving here from NYC, I've been disappointed with 95% of everything upstate NY has to offer. Tico's was a saving grace for my gf and I. The owner was very friendly and the food was just as good if not better than what we are used to. This is a small place and probably only seats 15 - 20 people but should be considered the best authentic Mexican eatery in the Watertown area. 15 minutes from Watertown on rte 3. BLAND. I ordered nachos supremos with chicken. No seasoning. Bland chicken, and not much of it, fresh lettuce and cheese and a bland sour cream sauce. No heat or flavor. The bag of chips and cup of salsa I had prior to the meal would have been preferred to the actual meal. And my drink was a bottle of pepsi. $13 was a little pricey. When we first moved here, I was craving Mexican and then found out about this place. Everyone was raving about it, so we decided to give it a try. I was highly disappointed. I've had better Mexican out of a food truck. When we pulled up I was not sure I even wanted to try it. The plays looks like a dump on the outside and wasn't much better on the inside. I know they say you can't judge a book by it's cover, but I should've known better. The staff was nice, but the food was lousy. The chips they gave us were so stale my year old son couldn't even chew them. The food had no flavor and the cheese dip was just that, melted cheese with no seasoning or spices. It was bland all around. I probably won't return, I'd rather save my money and make my own Mexican food at home. Plus, there is hardly any room to sit and it's not designed for a large crowd of people, it's really tight in there and tables and chairs are pretty much smashed up against each other. read more
