As a big fan of small businesses, I enjoy supporting them whenever I can. This location has surprised me in the past with its variety of options and its family-friendly atmosphere. Recently, however, they have reduced their menu and changed their operating hours. I stopped by around 3:00 PM and found the restaurant empty, with staff cleaning the windows. That wasn't an issue, but after we were seated, one staff member continued cleaning directly in our line of sight. When our food arrived, I politely asked the young and kind waitress if she could ask him to pause. I would rather focus on fresh ingredients and a pleasant dining experience than cleaning supplies while eating at a restaurant. The food was good, though not great. My son's kids' pasta came with far too much sauce, making it difficult for him to eat, especially since he is only three years old. If I return, I will definitely request a lighter amount of sauce. Overall, there isn't much more to add. The business has potential, but I believe they could benefit from some operational consulting to improve the guest experience read more

This is not the same Primos from before it is under new management and it shows. They completely changed the look of the restaurant. Love was put into it and it shows. I have been a client at Primo's for twenty plus years until a few years ago that I left the neighborhood, but yesterday I happen to be around and decided to have a slice or two or three at Primo's. I get to the door and realize it's 3 PM and Primo's opens at 4 PM. I was disappointed but understood --- however, the owner asks me what I needed and I said well, PIZZA and ROLLS. He immediately was welcoming and said we will make you a pizza, even if they are not open yet. THIS IS HOW YOU DO BUSINESS AND KEEP YOUR CLIENTS HAPPY! The pizza was delicious. Warm, fresh and delicious. The rolls -- wow! garlicky, delicious. I am so happy Primo's gets to live on long after I moved away. The restaurant has a beautiful fresh new look. As someone who has been going to Primo's since they originally opened, I can tell you that it is no longer the shadow of what it used to be. Coming here for lunch was not only a timely experience, but a good financial decision. However, it's no longer possible to pop in for lunch since the new owners seem to not want that business. Also, the pizza has changed so much that I will no longer buy pizza from here. This was our go-to place for a delicious New York-style pie with a thin, well-done crust. Gone. Now it's the generic pizza every other place serves. At this point, it's only saving grace is the minestrone soup. It's only a matter of time before this place closes. Sad. read more

Today I want to share my experience visiting Primos Pizza & Pasta, which is now under new management. As a Miramar resident for over 15 years--and having previously lived in Pembroke Pines, a neighboring city--I've seen many places and restaurants change names, owners, and administrators. This particular spot has always stayed true to its roots as an Italian restaurant specializing in pizza and pasta, the kind of place I'd describe as perfect for grabbing a meal with friends after a baseball or soccer game, or enjoying time with family and kids. Years ago, it was excellent--especially during its first ownership. I remember the original owners were Italians with accents straight out of a Robert De Niro movie . After that, I'm not sure how many owners it went through, but I believe some of them gave the place a bad reputation. However, during my recent visit under the latest management, things have finally changed for the better. On Monday, December 8, 2025, I had a fantastic experience. From the very beginning, the service was excellent, and the food was outstanding. We ordered a Hawaiian pizza, which was served exactly as requested--light on sauce--with top-quality ingredients and a generous amount of cheese. The fried calamari was cooked to perfection, and the garlic rolls were just right--not overly greasy or overpowering. For dessert, we had a Tiramisu that was absolutely delicious and incredibly fresh. As I mentioned, the service was first-class. The staff consistently checked on us, refilled our drinks before they were empty, and made sure we had everything we needed. Honestly, we had an amazing time! read more

A great little new place in West Miramar. The pizza is great, but what's fantastic are the dinners! Very tasty, elevated house-made dinners, far better than the average pizza joint. The pasta fagole is to die for, made traditional style. The best part is the friendly service, as they treat you like family, and after going once, they remember your name. This spot is a quaint little restaurant nestled in the Winn Dixie Plaza in West Miramar. So far we've sampled their pizza and garlic knots-as takeout. The pizza has been consistently good - not great. The crust is thin, but a little on the chewy side. I would personally like a little more cheese on my slice, but the taste is authentic and flavorful. I ordered marina to accompany the garlic knots and it was pleasantly chunky and flavorful; like well seasoned stewed tomatoes. The knots themselves were rather bland, but the texture was great. I'll continue to order here as I find it to be the better pizza joint in the near vicinity. read more

Primo's Pizza will never receive my business again. Their new owner and their crew prepared a burnt crust calzone that was uncooked on the inside. I returned and they refused to correct unless I paid them another $20 after paying $33. I would not put another dollar into their business after supporting them since they have opened. I'm not sure what happened. Maybe new ownership??? I've eaten pizza and pasta and soup here so many times that I've grown accustomed to the distinct flavors but yesterday I went back for a basic cheese pizza and a margarita pizza. The first thing I noticed was how dark the restaurant was and the normal hustle had changed to a slow paced, kinda abandoned feel. I ordered my pizzas to go. The kids have always loved Primo's. It's always been one of those 'can't go wrong' places for us. When I got home and the kids grabbed their slices, my daughter said, "I thought you were going to Primo's?" I told her, "I did". Then I grabbed a slice of Margarita and it's hard to explain but underneath the top layer of cheese was something thick and mushy and mildly sour tasting (maybe ricotta??). I am okay with ricotta but not so much that it takes away from the rest of the flavors. No one wanted the margarita pizza after tasting it. The cheese pizza...always a 'go-to' for us, it tasted different but not in a good way. Maybe they changed brands of product? I don't know but it wasn't what I'm accustomed to. Primos cheese pizza has a yummy dough which is crispy and chewy and mildly sweet and their sauce is really nice and they use a great cheese. This wasn't what we are used to at all. There was so much leftover last night which is abnormal. My family usually nearly finishes the pizza but no one wanted seconds. I can't quite put a finger on it but it was just different which saddens me because it's one of our neighborhood faves. I just hope it was a fluke. read more

With a heavy heart, I strongly recommend Primo's as the absolute best pizza in Miramar. I say: "With a heavy heart" because these hard working folks are pretty busy on a nightly basis, and by merely posting this review, I'm most likely adding to my own wait time the next time I call for take out--which is fairly often. Their pizza is the best. Full stop. Crispy crust, fresh garlic and vegetables and if you ask for pepperoni on your pizza--get ready! If you only want a little, you'd better be specific when you make your order, or their chefs will make sure that the cheese underneath is barely visible. The chicken parm is delicious and quite large, the salads are generously garnished, and the subs (with actual bread, none of that rolled-over pizza crust nonsense) are lightly baked and stuffed with the filling of your choice. I could go on and on, but if you're not looking for amazing pizza and tasty Italian cuisine, then that leaves more for me to enjoy, plus a shorter wait time. read more

I don't know what is going on with this restaurant anymore. The pizza is disgusting! Where is the sauce? The cheese is so bland that I had to put oregano, crushed peppers to taste something. I dream about this pizza every night. All of its components went so well together. From the slightly sweet & salty sauce, to the melt of the cheese. The only thing I would recommend here is the pizza. They sell a solid slice of pizza and their lunch special of 2 slices and a soda for $5.95 is a great deal. Anything else here is average at best. Its one of those small Italian restaurants every community seems to have. Ordered the eggplant parmigiana and the eggplant was completely bland and had absolutely no flavor. The pasta with marinara was alright but nothing out of the norm. A coworker ordered take out with me once and bought the stuffed shells lunch. Three tiny shells filled with cheese, that's it. I wasn't expecting a lot from Primo's yet it still seemed to fall short. Next time I'm in the mood for pizza I'll be back or maybe try a calzone. The pizza when I got it and it was correct, was good. This is a service problem that's knocking them out of competition in terms of a pizza place. I can't recollect how many times they can't record an order correctly, I.e. "one half onion, the *other* half pepperoni and sausage." Or the pizza is folded over on itself. You walk in and think, decent looking place, but once the process is involved, it's total garbage. I started coming here when we moved in, it was a nice place, I loved it. Within a year, Primos is on the bottom scraping list, you're better off with Papa John's or a frozen pizza. The owner needs to check the staff here, it's become absolutely pathetic, I'll be sure to share this failure with everyone. read more

This joint deserves 0 stars...from the bad service(I was put on hold while I was talking to the girl without her telling me) to this being the second worst pizza in South Florida (I think Rey Pizza still wins that). We received a cold and limp pizza, the toppings were tossed on there blindly and unevenly and it was beyond greasy. Worst $30 I've ever spent on pizza. Save yourself the trouble and go anywhere else. Definitely enough for 2 people. It was delicious and not nutritious. No regrets. Stick with me...it gets interesting towards the end. So I ordered Linguine with clam sauce, Margherita pizza and kids Ravioli with a 20 minute pickup estimate. After 5 minutes, they call advising clam sauce isn't available so I replace with mussels and linguine with white sauce. The wife wasn't too happy and I had a gut feeling to cancel...but I stuck with it because it's hard enough deciding on food these days. This was our first order ever with Primo's Pizza and Pasta in West Miramar. I arrive about 25 minutes after my initial call and had to sit and wait around 15 minutes for the mussels to finish. Then the girl managing the front desk luckily noticed the kids ravioli was missing. I sat down again and waited another 10 minutes or so for that patiently. (By the way, that one girl was the only one that seemed to know what was happening with orders.) When it was ready, I was on my phone and I had a delayed reaction to hearing my name being called the first time. As I stood up, one of the girls made sure to say it again, *very* loudly, with the awkward religious pronunciation of "GEE-ZUS" followed by group, high-school girly laughter. It's my name and I've gotten accustomed to the awkward, religious pronunciation since early in life, but the girly laughter that followed clearly told me it wasn't ignorance about pronunciation. It was intended to humiliate and poke fun. So here I am, walking out with cold food after waiting 50 minutes and hearing them laugh at my name. I considered turning around and getting "outraged", but Yelp Reviews are a far better way to be heard. This was our first and last order with them. As a latino, I'm offended and will never give them another dollar, much less $44 for the over-priced, bland food. Yes, the mussels were bland and tasteless, the pizza looked and tasted like something out of a Red Baron box in Walmart and the ravioli was generic.
