so a while ago I wrote about the treatment that I received when placing an order and the person who said he was the manager treated my wife and I with total disrespect. after 5 plus years he said we are not in their area for delivery. I want to be very clear about my review of Angelos. The owner is named Joe. The person that was disrespectful I don't know his name but he is a tall bald guy that does the cooking. we started to order from the davie store and have not had any issues the food was great and the service is also great. we have ordered from cooper city on average 2 times per week for 5 plus years until my issue listed above. however with that said the food is great and we still order from them. on this past Friday April 24th, I stopped by the Cooper City location and ordered 2 slices of pizza to go. While I was there, I asked the young lady who the owner is because I felt it was important for him to know what transpired. the cook listed above interrupted our conversation with an attitude and asked if I am the one that listed the bad review and I replied that yes I did. he became argumentative and very disrespectful towards me. I told him that it's my right to place an honest review. I do WANT TO BE VERY CLEAR, the restaurant, the owner and its employees are great. ITS THE COOK-MANAGER listed above that should be dealt with for the treatment then and again the other day. I did leave a message for Joe and my phone number. I hope that he would call me to discuss the above. as of today 4-26 I have not heard from him. Happily surprised! And not because I was expecting it to be bad but because I had no idea this was in the area! Me and my husband had a craving for some pizza and I really did not want "traditional" pizza place so we found this hidden gem and fell in love. We wanted Italian food on Monday and our first three choices were, unbelievably, all closed on Mondays. I have been to this place many years ago for pizza and decided to give it another try, but to be honest I was a little disappointed and actually got a bit of an upset stomach from my meal. We ordered pick up, which was ready quickly, and was hot when it arrived. Thankfully, my parents had a veal francaise which they had no complaints about, but I had the Alfredo ravioli with chicken and it was drowning in sauce. Normally, I like a bit of extra sauce, but this was too much, and I think that the high concentration of butter, cream and oil gave me some stomach issues into the night. Also, I added chicken to the dish, and although the chicken was thankfully fully cooked, it was not season at all. Their pizza is definitely better, if I go back again it will be for that. read more

She gives table service with a smile and matching personality (a commodity these days)! Angelo's is never without customers in the resturant and the food never disappoints! A petty recent review and corresponding low rating was laughable. Reading it was reminiscent of the food critic in the movie Ratatouille as clearly the person holds themselves in far too high regard... If the $1 up charge for a soup with an entree was so egregious that it made you lash out on yelp, perhaps reading the menu stipulations prior to ordering would alleviate your duress. Or maybe select a less expensive option if you are on a budget instead of venting self-inflicting frustration onto undeserving others. There was an unfortunate miss handle & Delay by the Uber driver which cause the delivery to arrive with ants, inside and on the food. Though the responsibility was NOT on the restaurant. Uber refused to resolve their problem. Tony was so gracious & replaced the full order (over $100) at no charge. Ive been dining here for a year now, at least once every two weeks, and I can't believe I haven't written a review before. We've dined at almost every pizza spot and Italian restaurant in the area (for real!) and I don't think this spot gets enough credit. It's a laid back, more of a chill spot but the food is excellent. The garlic rolls are always piping hot, buttery and crisp on the outside, soft on the inside- really delicious! The spaghetti and meatballs, lasagne, chicken cutlets and pasta e fagioli soup, buffalo wings are our go-to dishes. Definitely one of my favorite Italian spots in Cooper City. read more

Stopped by this new (to me) place to satisfy a quick craving. The storefront was completely empty when we got there (Thursday afternoon), and we were quickly attended by a friendly employee. We sat down while we waited and staff were warm play the booths were clean. All seating is indoors and we ate in the car. The pizza pie was sitting out near the oven, so our pizza was reheated but nonetheless satisfied my craving. Pizza was mildly greasy (nothing surprising but definitely noticed it upon first bites), and wasn't anything to write home about but was still enjoyable. read more

Stopped in at Angelos Pizza and Pasta today for lunch after seeing it on a friends instagram page. Pizza looked really solid so thought it was worth giving a shot. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a smiling face behind the counter. As soon as we told her 6, she ran over and pushed some tables together so we could all sit comfortably. . . A few minutes after that the waitress dropped by with pizza menus and asked for drink orders. She brought those back and took our order. We kept it simple with pizza and garlic rolls. . . The rolls came out first (see last picture) and while they were crispy on top, they sat in a LOT of butter leading to a soggy bottom. . Pizza came out shortly after. The pizza had the PERFECT cook on it for me. Thin and crispy while not being burnt. The cheese was melty with a nice saltiness to it, but the sauce was a little bit of a disappointment. It was a little bland. The sauce is what makes a pie for me and this one had nothing to set it apart. It sits on the lower scale for me at a 6.1. There was something really familiar about this place and i couldn't figure it out until i read the website. Angelos has deep ties to Joes Pizza and Pasta (formerly in Miramar until it closed recently). The same Joes we used to eat at once a week! . . Overall, living in West pines i have a couple options i would choose over Angelos but i would go back and try some of the other stuff on the menu. . read more

This is one of my favorite places to get pizza and probably the best Stromboli in south Florida that I've had. Aside from pizza they do have other menu items, like pastas, garlic rolls, salads and chicken fingers. This is also a sit down or take out restaurant, they have a decent amount of room inside, it's not huge but it's big enough. Price wise, it's a little on the high side but you're getting freshly made items, it's not like fast food pizza, it's your handmade, hand tossed pizza. Overall a great place to eat at! read more

Angelo's has good quality food for a local pizza place. We were told to sit wherever we wanted. That is always a plus. We chose a booth in the back. The restaurant was busy however they had plenty of staff on hand. At one point, we even had two servers caring for us at the same time. The restaurant was clean and modern. I liked the mural of Italy with the map showing what is famous in each region. The booth was roomy and gave some privacy from others eating nearby. The side salad was great. It had had fresh lettuce, cucumber, tomato and olives. The creamy Italian dressing was the perfect match. The eggplant parmesan came out on a platter. It was hot and cheesy. The eggplant was made fresh and therefore soft and delicious. I'd definitly order this again. The spaghetti sat there all sad. I tried it before finishing my meal. It was your basic spaghetti with a chunky red sauce. I almost forgot about the complimentary garlic rolls. They were hot and had lots of fresh garlic on them. Next time I've got to try their pizza. I happened to be in the neighborhood and decided to stop in for a slice (Since my relocation to SoFlo) I've been looking for a great slice of pizza like the NY style I'm used to. Found Angelo's and decided to give it a try, upon entry it's a nice clean and spacious location, friendly service by welcoming staff. We picked up 2 slices which I just say are huge, felt like 2 slice combined to make one. Very close to NY pizza I must say, the best I've found so far. Decent price and good portions. I have eaten at this location in the past and have had excellent service. However, this evening I went for dinner and ordered what I usually have, not needing to review the menu because of my familiarity with its contents. Dinner went well with the server asking to refill our drinks throughout the meal without being asked! It was going well until the bill arrived! Upon reviewing the bill, I questioned the server about being charged for 2 more drinks then what was orders and about the additional upcharge for the "soup of the day"? She did not seem concerned about my questions blurting out that it was notes on the menu about the charge for refills and soup of the day selection. This has NOT been their business practice before, therefore I would NOT have a reason to review every line of the menu that didn't appear to change over the years of patronizing this establishment. If their policies have changed, that information should have been divulged to us up front by the server to apprise the patrons of new policies so we could have made an informed decision. This left a very bitter taste in my mouth and I will not be returning to this establishment. As a long standing patron of this restaurant, a word of caution......there are many alternatives for Italian food in the area, with some within walking distance of your front door. This new practice undoubtedly has had a negative impact on their business since I couldn't help but notice there were only two tables seated in a restaurant that would normally be bustiling with business. read more

Came here last Sunday my son picked it was it is in our old neighborhood. Former location of Johnny Cheeze. Well this place was not them. Attempted to order a glass of Rose but passed as it was from South Carolina so didn't warrant the price. So I ordered a glass of St. Supery Sauvignon Blanc. It was not St Supery but I said nothing if anything it was a wine that was out of date. Notice the piss yellow color. So why I say nothing it was my son's day and choice and I did not want to take from that. The order of garlic rolls to start were good thus a star for that. The calzone not great I like when there is plenty of ricotta and the mozzarella melts into it for a creamy goodness. That did not occur what did happen since it was more mozzarella it was a greasy mess. My son got a pepperoni pizza. Also got an order of Chicken Ziti Brocolli for hubby who was at home. The end result for the three of us is tummy aches. My son's last for three days. To say I would recommend is an over statement please do yourself a favor and pass. read more

There are too many good Italian restaurants in broward county and this is another example of one. Good service, good food and good atmosphere. I had the chicken parmagan with a side of whole wheat penne. Although I would have liked the cheese cooked a bit more it was very good, and the whole wheat penne was even better. Cooked perfect! Along with the meal you had a choice of soup or salad. I had the chicken and rice soup, it was so good, but I wish I would have got the salad. My friend's salad looked so fresh, next time. My wife ordered a small stromboli with no cheese. Small my ass, it was big enough for two people. Even though I like mine with cheese, I had two pieces of it and it was incredible. Stuffed from end to end with vegetables and not overly bready. Even better then the meal was the dessert. Zeppolis! OMG! WOW! THEY WERE THAT GOOD! Made fresh on the spot coated with powdered sugar, nice and served hot, were so good. If I never ate another thing there, I would definitely go back just for more of their zeppolis. read more

We love that we get to have a night out with our friends while our kid was down the block at a Halloween parents night out. Our friends live close by and go to Angelo's often. This was our first time there and it will not be our last. As a vegan, Italian can be hit or miss. I saw the vegetarian Stromboli. I was concerned that they were not fresh made and I may not be able to to get it without cheese. The server told me it was fresh made so I ordered it without cheese. The small Stromboli was HUGE! It was jam packed with spinach, mushrooms, onion, green pepper and black olives. The spinach was fresh (not canned), as were the mushrooms. It was absolutely delicious. The dough was thin and crisp and because it wasn't thick it made the Stromboli super light. My husband & one friend had the chicken parmigiana. The cheese could have been browned a little more but he enjoyed it. Our friend had the special which he enjoyed. My husband had the soup of the day, chicken and rice. He liked it but when he saw the salads he was sad he didn't get that. It was super fresh and came with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion and green olives. For dessert we had zeppolis and they were delicious! They weren't over sugared nor were they greasy. They were perfect pieces of fried dough. Service was very friendly and we can't believe we had never been there. With so many good Italian restaurants we just added another to the list. Can't wait to go back! read more

This is my new favorite restaurant to have chicken marsala or Linguine with Clam sauce. First time I went with friends for lunch and ordered Chicken Francese and a friend ordered the Chicken Marsala. We both loved our dishes. So I decided to have dinner there. I ordered Linguine with Clam sauce and the portions was huge. It comes with soup or salad and garlic rolls. I ordered the salad and it was fresh. I took home half my meal. The next time I went for dinner I ordered Chicken Marsala. Sauce was excellent and huge so I took half home. The waitress is friendly and comes to check on you. The place is clean. They are open 7 days a week and can take out food. I would like to try the Pizza there. Heard it was good.
