We entered to a warm and welcoming waitress ready to get us seated. We ordered wine, bruschetta and some meatballs for appetizers. The decor was cozy. We loved the meatballs which were packed with flavor! Entrees included the chicken marsala and the seafood combination pasta. Delicious with that perfect eat Italian taste. We ended the night with cannolis and wine. Outside seating is also available. They have lovely hanging lights above the tables. Gives the place a very warm feeling. My wife and I chose La Familia to celebrate our anniversary, but unfortunately, it turned into one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had. Before arriving, I called around 8:00 PM to ask about dining. At no point during the call was I told that reservations or seating would not be available that late on the weekend or that we would have an issue arriving later in the evening. Based on that conversation, we went to the restaurant and arrived around 10:30 PM. Instead of being treated with courtesy and respect, we were met by the owner, who spoke to us in a very disrespectful and unprofessional manner. He embarrassed us in front of his staff, asked us to leave the establishment, and even confronted us outside afterward. It was humiliating, especially on what was supposed to be a special anniversary celebration. Had the staff clearly explained the restaurant's closing procedures or seating policy when I called earlier that evening, we would have gladly made other plans. Instead, we were left feeling unwelcome, disrespected, and completely disappointed. Sadly, this experience has ensured that I will never return to La Familia, nor will I recommend it to my friends or family. Every customer deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of the circumstances. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. read more

The location is not hard to find. There is a parking garage next door they have indoor and outdoor seating but we went inside because of the weather. It was cold in there so take a sweater if you get cold. They seated us right away and then kinda forgot about us however the waiter made up for it by being very attentive. I was not expecting to have so much food as we did, but each meal comes with a side salad. They give you an order or garlic knots which were pipping hot and fresh. The bruschetta was very good. The pasta with meat sauce was okay and the chicken piccata was delicious. For dessert I have a tradition to try tiramisu where ever I go and this one was good except the chocolate drizzle was too much. It was moist just like tiramisu is supposed to be. This authentic Italian restaurant is located in the Miramar Town Center, tucked in an up-and-coming area of east Miramar with new condos and small businesses under development. Since it was raining, we parked in the parking garage which is free. They are wheelchair accessible and have elevators with security cameras for safety. As we strolled in, we were greeted by their personable server, Xander, who said we could sit anywhere we desired. It was an early dinner and not yet busy. He took our drink order and soon brought over a large plate of garlic rolls that were not complimentary but nonetheless necessary! The rest of the evening went just as we had hoped--with a fare of pasta & fagioli soup, a mixed seafood pasta plate with mussels, shrimp, calamari and pasta, Ceasar salads, chicken piccata cooked with a light lemon sauce and capers, La Famiglia colossal meatballs accompanied by linguine in marinara sauce, and one of the richest, most decadent tiramisu we've ever had--anywhere! The family-owned restaurant is eager to serve large parties but call-ahead is highly suggested. Pizza is a specialty so they take orders online and over "il telefono." I am so grateful that someone cared enough to recommend this gem to us; otherwise, we would have missed out on a delectably-pleasing experience. My one regret is not having ordered sangria! The waitress was super sweet but got some of our meals wrong and forgot to place my dads meal so his came out after we all had eaten. If you're from New York and enjoyed the pizza there, this place is for you. I'm a Bronx native and spent many years here in south Florida as well. I have been missing the taste of authentic pizza done with the right amount of cheese and sauce with the perfectly baked crust that's not too doughy and not too burnt. All of the ingredients are fresh and when you walk in there the first thing that you'll notice is the smell. The dough, the sauce, the garlic all of them combined returned me back in time to my old days. The staff is friendly and gracious the food once again is delicious and it's not just the pizza alone I have had everything on the menu and have loved everything. I would probably eat the tablecloth if I could. The place is spotless and the vibe is very relaxed. We order from there at least once a month for my company and I have yet to even hear one negative critique of their products. Go there hungry and you'll thank me later. It was another lunch time decision and this time I was convinced to give La Famiglia another try. However, the only difference was I wasn't going to go with the opinion of a fellow lunch group member of mine, Kevin, who wouldn't be in attendance for this updated La Famiglia experience. It was a unanimous decision that we didn't want pizza this time and instead chose to order something else. Once inside, there was no wait and the service was extremely quick which is exactly what you'd want for lunch. To order, I really wanted Chicken Parmigiana so that is exactly what I went with this time around. First off, I had no idea that it would also come with a salad of your choice as well as garlic rolls! That made for a great experience that I wasn't expecting at all. The salad was a great touch and the garlic rolls were phenomenal! They contained a great garlic consistency and not dry at all like other places can be at times. When the main course finally arrived I was shocked with how large the portion was. It was one very large piece of chicken with a perfect portion of pasta. The chicken parm had an amazing melted layer of cheese all across the top that really added to the flavor. The sauce on the pasta was also a delicious tomato sauce that complimented the parm well.
